Strange Creature Washes Up On California Beach

One for the weird and unusual file with a story reported by outlets like Huffington Post about a strange creature that washed up on the beach of Santa Barbara, California. The creature is described as "Short feet, with claws, narrow snout with two protruding cheeks."
KEYT Senior Reporter John Palminteri stumbled upon this creature and snapped photos of it, then posted them online for his audience to perhaps identify it. He did get a response from Paul Collins, Curator of Vertebrate Zoology at the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum, who thought it was a badger. As Huffpo states, the mystery is that if it IS a badger, how did it get there and from where because according to Palminteri, badgers are not common to Santa Barbara as he states "I’ve never seen a badger around here or heard of a badger on the coast of Santa Barbara."
