On December 3, 2025, the White House published the research article Savings from Resetting Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) Standards from the Council of Economic Advisers to the President in which the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) proposes a reset of the CAFE program. The report found that the 2024 update to CAFE set a pace that current technology could not achieve without major conversion to EVs thereby forcing an hidden EV mandate upon the Nation. In addition, the report found the 2024 update would raise the cost of vehicles for consumers thereby limiting choice while impacting those whose livelihoods (such as agriculture & supply delivery) depend on utility- and capability-based vehicles such as trucks and SUVs. Finally, the report found that emission reduction was not reduced by increasing EV use; mostly due to tire wear (almost 400 times what comes out of tailpipes) because EVs are heavier and require higher torque. The report concludes that by rolling back the 2024 update it will allow automotive innovation to occur at a more sustainable pace.
On December 3, 2025, the White House published the Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Announces the Reset of Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) Standards announcing the reset will provide relief to both American families and automakers. The roll-back will also save American families money by reducing the price of a new car by almost $1,000; nor would consumers be forced to adopt EVs. The Trump Administration is fighting a critical battle against Autopen's hidden cost-of-living increases caused by these types of policies as they are discovered. The goal is to make sure American consumers can afford safe, reliable vehicles that are made-in-the-USA.
The Fact Sheet reminds us of the steps President Trump has taken to undo the "Green Hoax" set into motion by the Autopen Administration reducing the cost burden on all Americans:
On June 20, 2025, President Trump signed SJR31 into law.
HR1 - One Big Beautiful Bill Act was introduced May 20, 2025 by Jodey C Arrington (R-TX-19) and signed into law July 4, 2025.
Working Families Tax Cuts are codified in Title VII Finance No Tax on Tips, Overtime, or Car Loan Interest § 70201 to § 70202 discussed in my July 14, 2025 ANP Article.
Auto loan interest deductibility is codified in Title VII Finance No Tax on Tips, Overtime, or Car Loan Interest § 70203 discussed in my July 14, 2025 ANP Article.
This proposed rule would eliminate all greenhouse gas emission standards for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles and engines. Comments on this proposed rule were due by September 15, 2025. This action would impact, at a minimum:
As a result of these proposed changes, motor vehicle and engine manufacturers would no longer have future or current obligations for the measurement, control, or reporting of GHG emissions for any vehicle or engine, including for previously manufactured MYs. However, we are not proposing to reopen or modify any regulations necessary for criteria pollutant and air toxic measurement and standards, Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) testing, and associated fuel economy labeling requirements. We seek comment on whether any elements of the regulations, test procedures, or GHG emission models that are proposed for removal should remain to support programs unrelated to the GHG emission standards and why the preservation of such an element is necessary to support the unrelated program or programs.
I look forward to the list of all the President Actions signed by the Autopen that are now null and void. Which of the 162 EOs, 745 Proclamations, and 382 Other Presidential Documents, as well as the associated regulations stemming from these Presidential Actions, are now vacated?
If you travel by plane domestically, and don't have or want to buy a passport, you will need a REAL ID by May 7, 2025 to continue traveling by plane.
If you visit military installations, and do not have a military ID or U.S. Passport, you will need a REAL ID by May 7, 2025 to continue accessing those military installations.
If you visit "secure" federal buildings, and do not have a valid federal ID or U.S. Passport, you will need a REAL ID by May 7, 2025 to continue accessing those "secure" federal buildings.
Nothing was mentioned about any fees for not having a Real ID . . . until now. On December 1, 2025 the Transportation Security Administration decided that there will be a $45 fee for traveling without an "acceptable ID" to be used to "verify your identity" starting February 1, 2026. However, if you have one of the following "acceptable forms of ID" you will not have to pay the fee (for now):
REAL ID-compliant driver's licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent)
If you are not sure if your ID complies with REAL ID, check with your state Department of Motor Vehicles.
A temporary driver’s license is not an acceptable form of identification.
State-issued Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) or Enhanced ID (EID)
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Employment Authorization Card (I-766)
U.S. Merchant Mariner Credential
Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)
You can complete the "confirm ID" process online before arriving at the airport; but, it will still cost you $45 and is only valid for 10 days (so if your trip is more than 10 days, you will need to pay another $45 to "confirm ID" in order to return).
And so it begins . . . they will fine you into compliance OR you will choose not to fly.
Between December 19, 1777 and June 1778, General George Washington settled his weary, ill-supplied troops at Valley Forge for the winter. During their encampment, General Washington reformed the supply systems and attracted experienced officers to train his troops in fighting tactics as well as military hygiene and chain-of-command. These actions became the foundation for our modern military.
The camp started with about 12,000 troops that grew to almost 20,000 by late spring. The troops represented
. . . men from all 13 original colonies and regiments from all of them except South Carolina and Georgia. The encampment brought together men, women, and children of nearly all ages, from all walks of life, of every occupation, from different ethnic backgrounds, and of various religions. While most were of English descent, African, American Indian, Austrian, Dutch, French, Germanic, Irish, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Prussian, Scottish, Spanish, and Swedish persons also filled out the ranks. The women present at Valley Forge included approximately 400 enlisted men’s wives who followed the army year-round and a few general officers’ wives who came on extended visits. Although most soldiers came from a Protestant background, Catholic and Jewish personnel also were among those in camp.
One of the experienced officers drawn to the Continental Army was former Prussian officer Friedrich Wilhelm Baron von Steuben. The Baron decided that the rigid method of the Prussians, Austrians, or French would not be suitable for the rowdy American troops. He demonstrated positive results of retraining with hands-on lessons. The Americans were motivated to learn based on outcomes rather than rigid adherence to sometimes insensible orders. According to the Baron, the Americans were so motivated to learn to defeat the British, they learned in a few short months what normally took 2 years to accomplish.
General Washington ordered the breaking of camp when he learned the British were going to abandon Philadelphia. Leading to the Battle of Monmouth, New Jersey (to be discussed in a future article).
Valley Forge is considered by many to be the birthplace of the American army. Basic training, professional officer corps, and distinct branches of service (like the corps of engineers) developed during this encampment.
Of course, when the troops left Valley Forge, they left devastation behind. Trees, fences, and farmer's outbuildings were used construct huts or for fires. The troops consumed the livestock, produce, and stores of the citizens in the area. The land was full of entrenchments, muddy roads, and refuse after the troops left. However, the area did recover because the original inhabitants undid the damage of the troops. Within 10 years, the quickly constructed military huts were gone and trees and fields were replanted. By the early 19th century, the area was thriving. The citizens did this without the assistance of the government.
Part of the area is now a National Historical Park where you can experience Muhlenberg Brigade Huts, see Washington's Headquarters, walk the artillery park, see the National Memorial Arch, or take a 90-minute trolley tour.
Those are some of the exact words used by Google’s censors, aka 'Orwellian content police,' in describing many of our controversial stories. Stories later proven to be truthful and light years ahead of the mainstream media. But because we reported those 'inconvenient truths' they're trying to bankrupt ANP.
