All Saints Day, President Trump On 60 Minutes, Shutdown Effects On US Air Travel, Schumer Shutdown Day 35 Update, Indictment of Letitia A James, 14th Amendment
On November 2, 2025, the White House published the November 1, 2025 Presidential Message on All Saints’ Day stating that President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump join Christians in celebrating the saints who now reside in the glory of God. The statement continues:
From our earliest days, the United States has drawn inspiration from holy men and women whose witness shaped our people and deepened our faith. The Blessed Virgin Mary, Patroness of the United States, has long been honored as a symbol of grace for our country. Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini poured out her life in service to the most poor and needy among us; Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton formed generations through her schools of faith and learning; and Saint John Neumann led his flock with humility, courage, and unrelenting devotion. Their example, and those of all the saints, demonstrates that faith transforms nations as surely as it transforms hearts.
The statement reiterates that we have the freedom of religion which allows faith to flourish. That the Trump Administration is committed to upholding the 1st Amendment freedom of every Citizen to worship, speak, and live according to their beliefs.
Office Holidays produced the following video about the history of All Saints' Day. Here is a transcript of the video:
All Saints’ Day is celebrated on November 1st as a commemoration day for all Christian saints. It may also be known as All Hallows' Day, Solemnity of All Saints, Hallowmas, or Feast of Saints. Though not as well-known as Christmas and Easter, it is a major Christian Festival. It is a public holiday in 50 countries around the world.
Let's take a look at the History behind All Saints' Day: The idea of an All Saints' Day may date back to a Greek Christian tradition in the 4th century when a festival was held to honour saints and martyrs on the Sunday following Pentecost. The first recorded All Saints’ Day occurred on May 13th 609 AD when Pope Boniface IV accepted the Pantheon in Rome as a gift from Emperor Phocas. The Pope dedicated the day as a holiday to honour the Blessed Virgin and all martyrs. In 835 AD, during the reign of Pope Gregory III, the festival was moved to November 1st.
It was expanded to include the honouring of all saints, including those whose sainthood is only known to God. It is likely that November 1st was intentionally chosen to replace the pagan feast of the dead, Samhain.
The night before Samhain was a time when evil spirits roamed the land looking for humans. To confuse the spirits, people would dress up as creatures. This tradition carried on after November 1st became a Christian festival. Now known as Halloween - which is a shortened version of All Hallows' Eve. The day survived the Reformation, though the Protestants combined it with All Souls’ Day, which was on November 2nd.
In Mexico, All Soul's Day was used to replace older Aztec customs, and became the Day of the Dead.
The day was abolished as a church festival in 1770, but may be celebrated by many churches on the first Sunday in November. In Roman Catholicism, All Saints' Day is a Holy Day of Obligation. This means Catholics must go to Mass, unless there is a good reason not to attend. The holiday is typically observed with a reading of the Beatitudes, eight blessings given in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount as recounted in the Gospel of Matthew.
In recent years, it has become common in many churches to commemorate those who died during the year on this day. And it is a tradition in many countries to visit the graves of deceased relatives and put flowers and candles on the graves.
On November 3, 2025, the White House published the article President Trump on 60 Minutes: “Greatest Nine Months in the History of the Presidency” President Trump highlighted what he considers to be his greatest accomplishments in this short 9 months of his 2nd Term. Of all the topics covered, the White House considers these as the "top moments" of the interview:
On ending the Democrat Shutdown: “We keep voting. I mean, the Republicans are voting almost unanimously to end it — and the Democrats keep voting against ending it… They’ve lost their way.”
On Obamacare: “Obamacare is terrible. It’s bad healthcare at far too high a price. We should fix that. We should fix it, and we can fix it with the Democrats. All they have to do is let the country open, and we’ll fix it. They have to let the country open and I’ll sit down with the Democrats and we’ll fix it.”
On healthcare: “We can make it much less expensive for people and give them much better healthcare — and I’d be willing to work with the Democrats on it, [but] the problem is they want to give money to prisoners, to drug dealers, to all these millions of people that were allowed to come in with an open border from Biden, and nobody can do that. Not one Republican would ever do that.”
On negotiating with Democrats: “We can fix [healthcare]… but I’m not going to do it by extortion. I’m not going to do it by being extorted by the Democrats who have lost their way… It’s going to get solved. Eventually, they’re going to have to vote — I think they have to. And if they don’t vote, that’s their problem. I think we should do the nuclear option… it’s called ending the filibuster.”
On illegal immigration: “The policy has to be ‘you came into the country illegally; you’re going to go out.’ However, you’ve also seen, you’re going to go out, we’re going to work with you, and you’re going to come back into our country legally.”
On the next three years: “We have been acknowledged as having the greatest nine months in the history of the presidency — so if I can keep that going, I’ll be very happy.”
On the Supreme Court’s tariffs case: “Because of tariffs, we have the highest stock market we’ve ever had. Because of tariffs, 401(k)s are at the highest level — and this is millions of people — than we’ve ever had… I think it’s the most important subject discussed by the Supreme Court in 100 years.”
On “retribution”: “It’s the opposite. I think I’ve been very mild mannered. You’re looking at a man who was indicted many times and I had to beat the rap otherwise I couldn’t have run for President. They tried to get me not to run for President by going after me and by indicting me!”
On nuclear weapons testing: “We have more nuclear weapons than any other country. I think we should do something about denuclearization… we’re the only country that doesn’t test — and I don’t want to be the only country that doesn’t test.”
On the ceasefire in Gaza: “It’s very solid. You hear about Hamas, but Hamas could be taken out immediately if they don’t behave. They know that. If they don’t behave, they’re going to be taken out immediately.”
On crime in Democrat-run cities: “If you had to send in the Army or send in the Marines, I’d do that in a heartbeat… but I haven’t chosen to do it because I haven’t felt we need it.”
On China: “It’s like everybody else. We’re a threat to them, too… This is a very competitive world, especially when it comes to the China and the U.S. We’re always watching them and they’re always watching us. In the meantime, I think we get along very well, and I think we can be bigger, better, and stronger by working with them as opposed to just knocking them out.”
On Venezuela: “They’ve been treating us very badly — not only on drugs, they’ve dumped hundreds of thousands of people into our country that we didn’t want. People from prisons; they emptied their prisons into our country. They emptied their mental institutions and their insane asylums into the United States of America.”
While only 27 minutes of the interview were selected for broadcasting, all 73 minutes are available in the video below:

On November 3, 2025, the White House published the article Thank a Democrat for Five-Hour TSA Lines, Mass Flight Delays recognizing that Americans are paying the price for the Schumer Shutdown. While Democrats are busy playing sick political games, air travel is slowing down day-by-day as Federal workers find they can no longer afford to work without a paycheck. Air Traffic Controllers and TSA agents are not showing up to work. This is causing delays in getting through the security check point as well as schedule changes, gate holds, and missed connections. While these issues affect all airports, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, Austin, Cleveland, Seattle, Boston, Indianapolis, Nashville, Phoenix, and Washington, D.C. are acknowledged as seeing the worst of these issues.
It is now day 35 of the Schumer Shutdown making today the day when this shutdown equals the "longest shutdown in US history" which also just happened to be during a Trump Administration. Now the question becomes how much longer do the Democrats think they can keep this up.
As of tomorrow, November 5, 2025, the Schumer Shutdown becomes the longest Federal government shutdown in US history. That is not something Democrats should be proud of nor brag about. All but 2 Democrats have voted consistently to keep the Federal Government shut down. I hope people remember this stunt come election time.
Tomorrow, November 5, 2025, is also the day the Soros organization (through its subsidiaries), antifa, drug cartels, pedophiles, trannies, loony left Democrats, and others lay siege to the buildings that represent the 3 branches of our Federal government. Supposedly, they will have "millions" of people who will stay there until President Trump is no longer in office. I am glad the NG is still stationed in DC!
The last vote on HR5371 to end the shutdown was held on October 28, 2025:
Oct 28 yea = 54 nay = 45 Oct 22 yea = 54 nay = 46 Oct 20 yea = 50 nay = 44 Oct 16 yea = 51 nay = 45 Oct 15 yea = 51 nay = 44 Oct 14 yea = 49 nay = 45 Oct 09 yea = 54 nay = 45 Oct 08 yea = 54 nay = 45 Oct 06 yea = 52 nay = 42 Oct 03 yea = 54 nay = 44 Oct 01 yea = 55 nay = 45 Sep 30 yea = 55 nay = 45 Sep 19 yea = 44 nay = 48
Instead of addressing the Schumer Shutdown (HR5371), SNAP (S3024), or paying Federal workers (S3012), the Senate instead took one vote on November 3, 2025, it was on the Cloture Motion PN400-3 which was agreed to with a vote of 51 yeas (51 Republicans) versus 46 nays (44 Democrats and 2 Independents) with 3 people not voting on this issue (2 Republicans, 1 Democrat). The motion approved Eric Chunyee Tung, of California, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit, vice Sandra Segal Ikuta, retiring which was received in the Senate July 15, 2025.
Letitia A James ("JAMES") was a resident of Brooklyn, New York, and the borrower on a Fannie Mac-backed mortgage loan for the property located at 3121 Peronne Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia
OVM Financial (also known as Old Virginia Mortgage/AnnieMac) was a mortgage lending business located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, engaged in the business of originating and underwriting residential mortgage loans, including those backed by the Federal National Mortgage Association ("Fannie Mae"). OVM Financial qualified as a "financial institution" within the meaning of 18 USC § 20(10)
Fannie Mae was a federally chartered corporation that purchased and guaranteed mortgages, operating as a government-sponsored enterprise under the oversight of the Federal Housing Finance Agency ("FHFA")
First Savings Bank was a state-chartered, FDIC-insured financial institution (Certificate #29961), headquartered in Jeffersonville, Indiana, which acquired mortgage loans through assignment or acquisition. First Savings Bank qualified as a "financial institution" within the meaning of 18 USC § 20(1)
On or about August 17, 2020, JAMES, as sole borrower, purchased the three (3) bedroom, (1) bathroom property located at 3121 Peronne Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia 23509 (The "Peronne Property"), for approximately $137,000, financed with a mortgage loan of approximately $109,600 (Loan #4430025978) backed by Fannie Mae
The loan was originated by OVM Financial under a signed Second Home Rider, which required JAMES, as the sole borrower to occupy and use the property as her secondary residence, and prohibited its use as a timesharing or other shared ownership arrangement or agreement that requires her either to rent the property or give any other person any control over the occupancy or use of the property
Despite these representations, the Peronne Property was not occupied or used by JAMES as a secondary residence and was instead used as a rental investment property, renting the property to a family of (3)
This misrepresentation allowed JAMES to obtain favorable loan terms not available for investment properties, including a note rate of 3.000% (avoiding a 0.815% higher comparable investment property rate of 3.815%, resulting in approximately $17,837 in rate savings over the life of the loan), a seller credit of approximately $3,288 (exceeding the seller credit for the investment properties by approximately $1,096), for total ill-gotten gains of approximately $18,933 over the life of the loan
JAMES' Universal Property application for homeowners' insurance indicated "owner-occupied non-seasonal use," further misrepresenting the intended use of the property
JAMES filed Schedule E tax form(s), under penalties of perjury, treating the Peronne Property as rental real estate, reporting fair rental days, zero personal use days, thousand(s) of dollars in rents received, and claiming deductions for expenses relating to the property, further contradicting the second home classification
The loan was acquired by or assigned to First Savings Bank by March 2021, exposing it to risks associated with the misrepresented loan
The acts described herein occurred within the Eastern District of Virginia
COUNT ONE (Bank Fraud - 18 USC § 1344) The allegations in paragraphs 1 through 12 are re-alleged and incorporated herein
From on or about August 7, 2020, through at least January 2024, in the Eastern District of Virginia and elsewhere, the Defendant, LETITIA A JAMES, did knowingly execute and attempt to execute a scheme and artifice to defraud OVM Financial and First Savings Bank, financial institutions, and to obtain moneys, funds, and credits owned by and under the custody and control of OVM Financial and First Savings Bank by means of false and fraudulent pretenses, representations, and promises
The scheme involved falsely representing the Peronne Property as a secondary residence to obtain favorable mortgage terms, while using it as an investment property with no intended or actual personal occupancy or use by her (In violation of Title 18, USC § 1344)
COUNT TWO (False Statements to a Financial Institution - 18 USC § 1014) The allegations in paragraphs 1 through 12 are re-alleged and incorporated herein
From on or about July 28, 2020, through at least August 31, 2020, in the Eastern District of Virginia and elsewhere, the Defendant, LETITIA A JAMES, did knowingly make and cause to be made false statements and reports for the purpose of influencing the action of OVM Financial, a Fannie Mae-backed lender, upon an application for a loan, in that JAMES represented and affirmed in uniform residential loan applications and related documents that the Peronne Property would be used as a secondary residence, when in truth and fact, as JAMES then knew, the property was intended and used as an investment property with no intended or actual personal occupancy or use by her (In violation of Title 18 USC § 1014)

How can it be unconstitutional for the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces to review reports and make a decision about a military installation? How is it "unlawful" to move a military installation?? How is it unconstitutional or unlawful to move a military installation to a location where it was originally intended to be? How is it unconstitutional or unlawful for the Secretary of War to agree with the movement of this military installation? We shall see what the liberal courts do with this one. It will have to ultimately go to SCOTUS considering Colorado courts took President Trump off the presidential ballot on their state in 2024.
