Most people are familiar with, or have at least heard about the biblical story in Numbers 13 when the spies went out and surveyed the land, bringing back a report the land was rich indeed but counseled against trying to take it because there were giants there. The “children” melted and God sent them to spend 40 years in the wilderness. Another giant fighting report is given over in chapter 32 of Numbers, only here the people weren’t afraid, they were too busy accumulating wealth through cattle and said in effect to Joshua, “You guys go on over to the promised land and fight those giants. We’ll just stay here and tend to the cows.”
Joshua replied (paraphrasing), “If you don’t help us fight this battle you’re not going to have any cattle to take care of. In fact, you’re not even going to have any land. Beyond that, God may send you back to the wilderness for another 40 years and you’ll no doubt lose your lives.”
Today, many are so busy riding the stock market they don’t even know there ARE giants, let alone fight against them. I’m talking about banks that are “too big to fail” and any politician that wants to prop them up. Rockefeller and Rothschild already own most of the world and it seems time to kick a few giant shins and step on some oversized and diseased toes! Another giant of similar size is the mess of pottage called Washington D.C. Here the giants are working for the other giants that run the banks.
Better pay attention, what happened in Joshua’s day (following) will happen again:
Nu 32:10 And the LORD'S anger was kindled the same time (against the earlier cowboys who didn’t want to do their part), and he sware, saying,11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:
“That’s what God did to your fathers and he’s gonna do the same to you.”
Both Rueben and Gad got the message, parked their ponies and joined the fight!
Those two stories may be illustrative of Americans today who know about the “Gobbling Giants” of Wall Street and Washington D.C. but either are afraid to take them on, or more likely are just too busy enjoying the good life and don’t want to rock the boat by bothering the giants. They’d rather just keep on taking care of their Wall Street cattle. But one day the cows will come home and then what?
“That’s all just conspiracy theory, there’s nothing going on. I’m making more money than I ever have. I have a house and two cars and a boat, sure I owe quite a bit on ‘em but we take a vacation almost every year. Yeah, it’s getting’ hard for my neighbors to pay the grocery bill but we’re workin’ on that.”
Be careful. God may send lazy and depraved Americans to wander in the wilderness for forty years. If we won’t call or write our Congressman and raise “Old Billy” with him, we will deserve what we will surely get. There will soon come a day when we will look back and muse,
“We had it all, but we blew it. We knew there were giants around but thought, so what?”

We are “willingly ignorant (dumb on purpose)” of what God has done for America. We have been blessed beyond any nation on earth but we have squandered our inheritance. Instead of raising our children to recognize, submit to and to model their lives in the instructions of the One that made us, we have encouraged them to chase after modern day temple prostitutes and spend their days building more barns in which to store their chickens and cattle. We have forgotten God and there is coming a day of reckoning. Keep your powder dry, looks like we’re going to need it.
Hopefully, both President Trump and the President of Poland seem to get it. They understand that if we don’t have a country, there will be nowhere to store the wealth. Period. In a recent speech in that Eastern European country Trump asked the question of not only the United States and Poland, but the whole free world of the West:

The West personified by us has chosen temporary wealth over enduring values. Mammon is king and we are cursed by it because as the Apostle Paul told Timothy,
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Wealth however is fleeting, a recent Newsweek article claimed in order to be considered “wealthy” in the United States today you need to have at least $2.4 million. Gone are the days when a “millionaire” was looked upon with envy. Now we literally have millions of millionaires with one study by Spectrem Group saying there are almost eleven (million) of them. “Common as fleas on a dog.” Yet at the same time there are thousands of millions of people who are living literally from hand to mouth while the globalists plot to get every last dollar gathered into their own coffers.
For a long time, being taught to be patriotic, I believed capitalism and a free market would eventually right the wrongs and by hard work we could raise ourselves by our bootstraps. I am still a capitalist but I have also studied history. Sadly, after carrying a rifle for Old Glory and gaining some years, I gradually came to realize most wars are fought for profit. Not profit for those who carry the guns and sleep in the mud, but profit for those who smoke Havana cigars and sleep in luxury high-rise apartments.
If we fall into the trap of trying to right economic inequalities with legislation however, we fall into the trap that leads to an “ideal” called socialism that is just communism without the firing squad. But rest assured the rifles for execution are already in store, they are just hidden in Bernie Sanders’ “socialism” closet ready to be retrieved and used as soon as it is safe for our would-be masters to show their true colors.
Poverty can only be fought with opportunity, not legislation, and certainly not by communal government be it called by whatever name.
Mt 26:11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
We need to keep the clatter and racket going on a high enough level our Congress Critters and the President will be afraid NOT to take action to clean out the cesspools of Washington and Wall Street.
By the way our hats go off to Attorney General Jeff Sessions a week or two ago for the arrest of 412 doctors, nurses, pharmacists and others for stealing $1.3 billion from taxpayers. Let’s pray Jeff Sessions (may his tribe increase at least for now) continues his crusade against lawlessness and kudos to Trump for appointing him to his office. Sessions just opened up a large hole in the dam and a bunch of slimy creatures slid on down the creek. The swamp was slightly reduced in size. In the meantime though late reports have it, Trump is railing against his best man, Jeff Sessions. Someone needs to point out he needs to keep his friends, not kick dirt in their face.
Then a week later Dave Hodges reported “in Trump’s first 30 days in office, his people, mainly Attorney General, prosecuted 1,500 sex traffickers? To date, Trump/Sessions have prosecuted 3,500 child-sex-traffickers.” Another hole in the dam!
On the negative side, Sessions just signed an order EXPANDING police powers to seize your assets with merely an accusation of wrong doing. Read all about it at this link. This new order supposedly applies even if your state has laws against the police state tactic.
If adult Americans would set aside one hour a week in educating themselves and their Representatives, in American history and achievement, our economic abilities and our freedom to act would rocket exponentially. More important than education however is prayer. It looks like we are not inching, but rather plunging toward the abyss.
Lu 21:12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
