Collective MSM Trump Derangement Syndrome Puts Another 'Journalist' In The Unemployment Line As Media 'Mistakes' Reach 100

MSMTDSDARK.png

By Susan Duclos - All News PipeLine

Since the beginning of the Trump presidency, in fact before that, since the announcement that Donald Trump would be running for president, the liberal establishment media appeared to lose their collective minds.

They lied about his initial announcement claiming he called all immigrants "rapists," which he did not, as a reading of the transcript of the actual speech shows, and since that day, the "reporting" in regards to the Trump administration has gotten exponentially worse.

We have seen three career journalists forced to resign after a thinly sourced article was retracted and removed from the internet because it was "fake news." We have seen long-time faces on nightly news, suspended, then forbidden to report on the Trump administration after tanking the stock market with a false story.

We have seen more corrections, deletions, retractions, complete rewriting of "exclusives" that ended up being dead wrong, over the course of the last three to four years, than at any other time in history.

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST

The latest in a long list of "mistakes" came on Thanksgiving when a Newsweek writer decided to publish a story about how president Trump was expected to be "Tweeting, golfing and more," when in reality the President was in the midst of taking a secret trip to visit the U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

The writer Jessica Kwong, after deleting her original tweet promoting the inaccurate story she wrote and replacing it with an "explanation", called it an "honest mistake," but social media users were having none of that, pointing out that she wrote a story "without having any of the facts," correctly telling her that the article was "speculation," and pointing out that this is the type of "reporting" that has caused the media to lose "all credibility."

Perhaps the most accurate response was "I bet you guys hate it when you end up looking like asses because of your hatred for Trump."

See more reactions over at Twitchy.

Newsweek and Kwong received so much backlash that by Saturday, November 30, it was being reported that Newsweek had terminated Kwong.

“Newsweek investigated the failures that led to the publication of the inaccurate report that President Trump spent Thanksgiving tweeting and golfing rather than visiting troops in Afghanistan," a Newsweek representative previously told the Washington Examiner. "The story has been corrected, and the journalist responsible has been terminated. We will continue to review our processes and, if required, take further action.”

The question now, being asked by many on social media, is what about her editor or editors that had to approve and publish the story?

Good question. Shouldn't the editor also be held accountable for allowing a story that was nothing but speculation, without facts, to be published?

Either way, yet another "journalist" is now unemployed because her hatred and Trump Derangement Syndrome affected her ability to write objectively about President Trump.

John Hinderaker over at PowerLine gets to the root of the problem for the establishment media:

The root of the problem, of course, is that Newsweek, like pretty much all news outlets, is interested in bringing down President Trump, not in reporting the news. This is why we see such mistakes in the press, over and over, and always in the same direction.

Spot on!

As a side note, while Kwong did offer a statement to Washington Examiner about her article, deflecting some of the blame onto her editor, she has still not updated her Twitter or LinkedIn profiles as they both still claim she is a reporter at Newsweek, as of 12/1/2019.

MEDIA'S COLLECTIVE TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME

Writers are human and humans make mistakes. When we see that those "mistakes" have increased exponentially during the Trump presidency, and that each and every single one of those "mistakes" all go in one direction, being anti-Trump, then it becomes obvious that they are not just mistakes, but a deliberate attempt to smear the President and his supporters, without any thought to actual journalism, accuracy or truth.

In January 2019, investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson compiled a list of 50 "mistakes" in the Trump era, all detailed and sourced for verification purposes.

Since January, that list has now expanded to 100, including the latest Newsweek fiasco, showing that in the last year alone, the media has managed to bungle, lie, report inaccurately or make "mistakes" 50 additional times in less than a year.

See: 100 Media Mistakes in the Trump Era: The Definitive List

These are not "honest mistakes," nor are they simply a case of reporters receiving bad information, but the pattern and the increase in frequency is indicative of a deliberate attempt to lie to the American people, which logically leads to the question of "why."

There are so many different possibilities to answer that question.

Control: The media did everything in their considerable power to convince the American public not to vote for Donald Trump and to try to help Hillary Clinton get elected, yet Americans rejected the media's "influence" and elected President Trump. Could all their lies, fake news and inaccurate reporting be their attempt to wrest control back?

Anger: Is the establishment media, collectively, so angered by the people refusing to let them control their voting, that the media just doesn't care to tell those same American the truth?

Hatred: The media's unbridled and disdain and hatred for President Trump and his supporters isn't hidden or subtle in any fashion, but is right out there and in-your-face, which definitely fits the descriptions and symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome, otherwise known as Trump Anxiety Disorder.

So perhaps they quite literally cannot help themselves because their TDS is full-blown and they are unable to control themselves.

I choose number three.

BOTTOM LINE

The liberal establishment media has not gotten over the fact that Donald Trump won the 2016 election despite their best efforts to stop him. They cannot control him with bad press because he just points to them and says "fake news." They cannot destroy him because everything they throw at him slides right off, and that is when those stories haven't been proven to be inaccurate, untrue and in many cases outright fake news.

Each time they fail, their Trump Derangement Syndrome gets worse, they become incoherent, they make up the most unbelievable stories, then they push the narrative until they are busted as lies..... then they start all over again.

So, on Thanksgiving, Trump Derangement Syndrome claimed another victim, and left yet another reporter unemployed.

Rather than learn the lessons the last three-plus years should have taught them, they continue to double and triple down, which means we can expect to continue to see the increase of "fake news" from the establishment media, until they have driven all their readers and viewers away.
