Flags To Fly At Half-Mast Until Sunset August 31, 2025 To Honor Victims Of The Tragedy In Minneapolis Minnesota, More Lawfare, and Patriot William Hooper

On August 27, 2025, President Trump issued the Proclamation Honoring the Victims of the Tragedy in Minneapolis, Minnesota in which he ordered the flag of the US be flown at half-staff until sunset August 31, 2025. This includes flags flown at the White House, all public buildings and grounds, all military posts, naval stations, and naval vessels. In addition, all US embassies, legations, consular offices, military facilities, naval vessels, and naval stations outside the US shall also fly their US flags at half-mast until sunset August 31, 2025. 

This Proclamation is made as a mark of respect for the senseless act of violence against children at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota in which 2 children, aged 8 and 10, have died, and 14 children (2 currently in critical condition) and 3 adults were injured.

Robert "Robin" Westman has been identified as the shooter. Robert is a male whose mother helped him "transition" as a minor in 2019. His mother used to work at the Annunciation Catholic School; apparently she retired in 2021. Robert took his own life after the shooting. 

President Trump signed EO 14187 Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation on January 28, 2025 (discussed in my April 29, 2025 ANP Article). Obviously the EO does not go far enough to protect our vulnerable children from insane, mislead, or misinformed parents who want their child "changed" into the opposite sex (usually male to female). Nor does it go far enough to stop the medical profession from experimenting on our children with surgical mutilation and life-long chemicals being pumped into their tiny bodies (both SSRIs AND hormones belonging to the opposite sex).

Robert is the latest in a series of "trans" people shooting others. We already know that thinking you are the opposite sex is a sign of mental illness (it's officially called 'gender dysphoria' and is included in the 5th Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) is available free online by clicking here). Supposedly, gender dysphoria has been removed from the woke update to the DSM-5-TR. Removing it as a mental illness does not make it no longer a mental illness. It just makes it a mental illness that is no longer diagnosed or recognized by the medical community.

One must now wonder if taking the hormones required for the opposite sex messes with the brains of the people taking those foreign hormones making them more violent and prone to hurting others. When will the "medical community" and "parents" of these mentally ill people be held accountable for the atrocities they are performing upon these gender confused minors who are now growing into violent adults?

On August 27, 2025, in the lawsuit Trump v. Global Health Council, et. al docket # 25A227 filed August 26, 2025 at SCOTUS which is the appeal of 25-5098 and 25-5097 regarding USAID dismantling requesting SCOTUS stay Judge Ali's order preventing the government from impounding appropriated foreign aid funds. The Stay Application requests: that this Court grant an administrative stay while it considers this application, and that the Court in all events either grant an administrative stay or stay the preliminary injunction in full by September 2, 2025. The government successfully sought to expedite the proceedings on appeal to obtain a decision from the court of appeals by August 15 in recognition of the preparatory steps necessary to feasibly obligate the funds expiring on September 30, 2025, and to ensure adequate time for any further review. App., infra, 131a. But, as explained, as of September 2, the government must take further steps towards obligating certain funds that would be exceedingly difficult to undo without severe costs from reversing course on diplomatic engagements. Should the Court require time beyond September 2 to consider the application, the Court should enter an administrative stay to ensure that the irreparable harm that the preliminary injunction threatens does not occur during the Court’s deliberations. Today's Patriot is William Hooper who was born June 28, 1742 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was 1st of 8 children, 7 of whom were half-siblings. At least 5 survived to adulthood.

William was home schooled until age 7 when he was sent to the Boston Public Latin School. He entered Harvard on October 7, 1757, graduating at the top of his class with a bachelor's degree in art in 1760 and a master's degree in 1763. Instead of choosing the clergy as his father wished, he chose to study law with attorney James Otis. After completing his law apprenticeship, William moved to North Carolina and established his own law practice.

William married Anne Clark on August 16, 1767, in King's Chapel, Boston, Massachusetts. They had 3 children all of whom survived to adulthood.

In 1769 William was appointed deputy attorney general for the Salisbury District. In 1773, he was elected to the General Assembly of North Carolina, representing Wilmington. In 1774, William represented North Carolina in the continental Congress. 

William is called the "Prophet of Independence" because he wrote to his friend, James Iredell, on April 26, 1774, words that are said to be the earliest known prediction of independence:

The Colonies are striding fast to independence, and ere long will build an empire upon the ruins of Great Britain; will adopt its Constitution, purged of its impurities, and from an experience of its defects, will guard against those evils which have wasted its vigor.

Although William was absent during the actual vote for the Declaration of Independence, he signed the actual document on August 2, 1776. He resigned from Congress in 1776, returning to North Carolina. William contracted yellow fever in 1777. In 1789 he was appointed to the Federal Bench; but retired a year later due to failing health.

William died, probably from complications of a long-term illness, on October 14, 1790 at age 48. He was originally interred at the Presbyterian Churchyard in Hillsborough, North Caroline. He was moved on April 25, 1894 to Guilford Courthouse National Military Park.
