A Fort Hood, Texas soldier who recently returned from an 'Ebola stint' in West Africa has been found dead in his yard, leading authorities to shut down part of his neighborhood as it has been revealed that he was 'self-monitoring' for Ebola. While all soldiers returning from West Africa are required to undergo a 21-day period of isolation, this soldier was on 'emergency leave', of 'some sort', and NOT REQUIRED to undergo the 21-day period, though he was required to call in to Dr.s twice a day. 86 other soldiers he was deployed with are still in isolation.
