By S.E. Gunn, PhD -All News Pipeline

The White House Historical Association tells us that while Presidents John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan as well as First Ladies Pat Nixon and Rosalynn Carter all pardoned turkeys for Thanksgiving, George H. W. Bush is the President who began the tradition of pardoning a turkey at Thanksgiving.

This year, First Lady Melania Trump invites everyone to cast a vote on either X or IG by noon ET, Friday, November 21, 2025 to name this year's Presidential Turkeys. The North Carolina 4H and FFA students provided the options for naming the pair. The options are: Sugar & Spice; Pumpkin & Pie; Gobble & Waddle; or Acorn & Squash.

For Others Organizationexplains that adoption has been practiced for social, political, and familial reasons throughout time. In Ancient Rome the elite often adopted heirs enabling them to maintain family name, wealth, and power. In Ancient Greece and China adoption helped maintain family lineage, provide labor, or perpetuate cultural practices. In the Bible there are multiple occurrences of adoption indicating caring for adopted children has spiritual significance. However, back then, adopted children served the needs of the family who adopted them.

In the 19th century, the best interests of the child were starting to be taken into account. Charles Loring Brace launched the Orphan Train Movement where about 250,000 orphan children were shipped to rural families. Jan Addams (founder of Hull House) and Florence Kelley (child labor reform advocate) promoted education, social services, and protections for adopted children.

Massachusetts past the first modern adoption law in 1851 requiring judicial approval provided the placement was to be in the child's best interests. After WWII many people wanted to adopt the surviving children of deceased warriors as well as those experiencing economic hardship. In the 1970s civil rights, women's rights movements, and Native American activism exposed inequities in these practices.

In 1976, then Governor of Massachusetts Michael Dukakus declared an Adoption Week in conjunction with HHS. In 1984, President Ronald Reagan officially declared National Adoption Week. On November 1, 1995, President Clinton issuedProclamation 6846 National Adoption Month, 1995expanding National Adoption day into a month-long recognition. In 2000, Adoptees Connect, Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, Children's Action Network, and Alliance for Children's Rights declared the 3rd Saturday in November as National Adoption Day.

The Adoption Networkprovides guidance by state for those interested in becoming adoptive parents as well as how to place your baby up for adoption.

On November 17, 2025, President Trump signed the ProclamationNational Adoption Month, 2025expressing his and First Lady Melania Trump's desire to see that all our children placed where they can learn, grow, and reach their full potential, whether it be through the foster care program or, preferably, through permanent adoption. He continues:

This month, we recognize the profound truth that all children are a gift from God, worthy of love, care, and family. We honor the parents and families who welcome children into their homes and provide the stability and guidance every young person deserves. Above all, we commit to protecting children, supporting those who care for them, and strengthening the pillar of family across our great Nation.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim November 2025 as National Adoption Month throughout the United States. I encourage all Americans to observe this month by supporting children in need of a safe and loving home, uplifting the families who welcome them, and helping strengthen the bonds of family and community across our Nation.

On November 17, 2025, the White House published aPresidential Message on American Education Weekin which he states unequivocally that our current education system is failing our students. Since 1979, the Department of Education has spent over $3,000,000,000,000 producing students who cannot read proficiently or perform basic math. The Trump Administration, and Secretary McMahan are working to shut down the Department of Education and return the duties of educating our youth to the States and ultimately to the parents. For a short history on the education system in the US, please review my March 13, 2025 ANP ArticleThis Is NOT The First Time The Federal Department Of Education Has Been Reduced To An Absolute Minimum - Historical Foundations For The Failure Of Public Education. The message goes on to state that they believe AI will help bring our youth up to speed and ready for the future. The message concludes:

Every American student deserves a high-quality education. Through these actions, my Administration is restoring common sense to classrooms, returning real authority to parents, and building a generation of thinkers, builders, and leaders who are ready to carry our Nation forward. Americas Golden Age begins in the classroom, and by restoring the greatest education system in the world, we are building a stronger future for our culture, our children, and our beloved country.

On November 17, 2025, the White House published the articleWhere Is Democrats Transparency on Epstein?Ask 7 questions "Why aren't Democrats talking about the fact that:"

  1. Del. Stacey Plaskett (D-U.S. Virgin Islands) solicited (and was given) $30,000 from Epstein for the DCCC after he was already a convicted sex offender? Or the fact that Plaskett herself accepted maxed out donations from Epstein for her own campaign? Or the fact that the wife of the former Democrat governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands told Epstein we would have a friend in Stacey if he made said donations? Or the fact that Plaskett was literally texting Epstein during a committee hearing?
  2. Former President Bill Clinton traveled on Epsteins aircraft 26 times? Or the fact that one of Epsteins victims wrote that she saw Clinton on Epsteins island with two young women? Or the fact that Clintons visit to the island was corroborated by one of his former top aides?
  3. The long relationship and storied friendship that Larry Summers ex-Harvard President, Clinton Treasury Secretary, and prominent Democrat had with Epstein, who described himself as Summers wing man?
  4. Democrat so-called journalist Katie Couric had dinner at Epsteins residence after he was already a convicted sex offender who had served jail time?
  5. Reid Hoffman billionaire Democrat megadonor visited Epsteins pedophile island, attended a dinner with him, and even planned to stay at his New York mansion?
  6. Democrat National Committee refused to return $32,000 in donations from Epstein?
  7. Michael Wolff encouraged Jeffrey Epstein to blackmail then-presidential candidate Donald Trump insisting the convicted pedophile could generate a debt from him?

President Trump, on Truth Social, specifically calls for House Republicans to release the Epstein files.

On November 18, 2025 at 10am ET the House will begin the process of processing the various versions of the "release the Epstein files" bill.

The Bill of Rights, with the first 10 amendments, was passed by Congress September 25, 1789 and ratified December 15, 1791. It has been amended another 17 times to include additional specific rights.

TheTwenty-Fifth Amendment covering Presidential succession was ratified on February 10, 1967. It has 4 sections:

Section 1 - What happens if President cannot complete the term (removal, death, or resignation):

In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

Section 2 - What happens if the VP position becomes vacant:

Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Section 3 - What if the President becomes ill or incapacitated:

Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.

Section 4 - VP AND Majority of the Cabinet declares the President incapable of fulfilling duties:

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.
