Ephesians 6:11-12-Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
Christians worldwide are suffering persecution as we see in headlines every week, but as a WND article points out, government sanctioned Christian persecution is occurring right here in America as well, which is why many believe we are seeing an increase of "Unprecedented Demonic Outpouring" in the United States.
In that article Karl Payne, pastor of leadership development at Antioch Bible Church and the former chaplain of the Seattle Seahawks. highlights the double standard being shown in America's media and court systems, where free speech is considered "intolerant" if it is religious, conservative and offends others, yet legislators and courts go "deaf, dumb and mute," if the offense is against conservative religious or political views.
Payne is pessimistic about the future of the United States as demonic and occult practices become more common, especially as they are conducted with the sanction of governments.
"I personally believe God is done with our once-great country," he told WND. "This is just one more activity, apparently under government sanction, that makes me wonder how much longer God is going to protect it from the chaos and destruction of secularism and anarchism running unfettered.
The foundations of this country made it a wonder to the rest of the world, but now they are being systematically destroyed. Whether this country is conquered by apathy, anarchism, atheism or Shariah, the same people who see no problem with grown men in little girls’ bathrooms, babies being murdered in the womb, rioters burning and killing without reprisal, and terrorism being promoted as justice, are going to be in shock when the mob violence turns on them after they have served their useful purposes."
Carl Gallups, a pastor and talk-show host believes the majority of Americans are ignoring the spiritual warfare taking place which he refers to as the "prophesied demonic deluge," stating "The problem is it is so in your face that few actually ‘see’ it. There is such a technological saturation of evil – from entertainment mediums to virtual fantasy porn – that a 'normalcy bias' kicks in to overdrive."
And Gallups concluded ominously what modern Christians are witnessing is nothing new.
"It’s kind of like the days of Noah," he said. "Everyone just 'ate and drank' even though their judgment was staring them in the face, just like Jesus warned. The Lion of prophecy is roaring. I wonder if anyone actually hears it?"
Proof of his assertions of the "demonic deluge" are all around us and even being reported on local news stations across the country as we see in the Jason A video at the bottom of this article, where constant attacks, murders and violent actions are being blamed on "demons," or possession or in some cases suspects claiming the "devil" told them to do it.
In June 2016 KAMC News obtained court documents in the case of a Texas man that shot two people, then told police he was "seeing demons," prior to the shooting.
Also in July, reports came out of the trial of a Florida man accused of killing New York State Trooper, where in his initial statements he claimed that "Jesus Christ, or the Devil made him do it."
The interview was recorded in the hours after Upton, 62, struck and killed Skinner while the trooper was conducting a traffic stop on Route 81 northbound in the Town of Chenango. Upton said on May 29th, 2014, he was sleep-deprived, and believed he was traveling to visit family in Connecticut, where he lived for most of his life.
He admitted to running into cars on the highway because they wouldn't get out of his way. Upton was initially unapologetic about striking skinner -- saying that he zeroed in on him, and wanted to kill him. When investigators asked if he was glad he killed the trooper, he said he was. He also said it wasn't his fault -- and claimed that Jesus Christ, or the devil made him do it.
According to court documents, Gomez admitted to punching Geneva repeatedly "and forced a crucifix and religious medallion down her throat until blood came out of her daughter's mouth. Juanita saw her daughter die and then placed her body in the shape of a cross."
Interestingly enough it is not just men and women of faith warning of the existence of "demons," but even men of science, a psychiatrist, has been headlined by papers such as the Washington Post, in an article titled "As a psychiatrist, I diagnose mental illness. Also, I help spot demonic possession.."
For the past two-and-a-half decades and over several hundred consultations, I’ve helped clergy from multiple denominations and faiths to filter episodes of mental illness — which represent the overwhelming majority of cases — from, literally, the devil’s work. It’s an unlikely role for an academic physician, but I don’t see these two aspects of my career in conflict. The same habits that shape what I do as a professor and psychiatrist — open-mindedness, respect for evidence and compassion for suffering people — led me to aid in the work of discerning attacks by what I believe are evil spirits and, just as critically, differentiating these extremely rare events from medical conditions.
Pastor Gallups states "The Word of God is clear that the last days would be marked by an unprecedented demonic outpouring."
1 Timothy 4 - "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils."
Readers have noted previously that people around them were acting strangely, showing signs of depression or anger, noting total changes in behavior in family members, friends and neighbors, while we have all also been warned that there is a spiritual battle taking place right now and the increasing frequency of "Demonic" news across the country, from government sanctioned satanic rituals to attacks against Christians and other religious believers, give evidence of those assertions.
While those attacking religion consistently frame the debate as being "political," others assert that it is a spiritual war, and we are witnessing the prophesied demonic deluge, signaling we are living in the last days.
2 Timothy 3: 1-5: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
