This Is A Game Changer! Jump Ship Or Circle The Wagons? Liberal Media Has A Choice To Make After President Trump Hammers Big Tech/Social Media Censorship
Something very interesting is happening within the world of liberal establishment media and big tech, including social media platforms.
The bias against conservatives and the anti-Trump sentiment within Google, YouTube (Owned by Google's parent company Alphabet), social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram (owned by Facebook), is well known to those that use the Internet fairly often. Liberals tend to deny the liberal bias and the censoring of conservative voices, often justifying it because they think anything that offends them should be removed, and conservative ideology...well, it offends them.
Up until now this has been an Internet "thing," as conservatives and Independent Media have battled big tech, with the help of readers and supporters, and Congressional hearings pulling in representatives of Google, Twitter, and Facebook, Republican congressmen demanding explanations for the bias, while Democratic politicians provided cover for the tech giants..........and then, President Trump jumped right into the middle of the fray.
As usual with the president he waded in first on Twitter itself, but then he did the unthinkable, at least it was unthinkable to big tech and the liberal media, he started taking his observations of this bias straight to the voters, including those that do not participate on social media.
THE COUNTRY IS NOW AWARE AND LIBERAL MEDIA AND BIG TECH IS SCRAMBLING
The importance of President Trump bringing this to American voters, not just those that follow his Twitter or Facebook accounts, but to those that do not read Independent Media, which is buried by algorithm manipulation in search results, cannot be overstated, which is why the media, and tech giants are besides themselves, with articles stating there will be "unease in Silicon Valley."
This is no longer an issue being addressed in boring congressional hearings that a very small minority bother watching, nor just by Independent Media outlets that have no recourse against big tech, but it is now an issue that President Trump has brought into the homes of Americans, to be discussed around the kitchen table, so to speak.
Further evidence comes by how big tech has constantly denied their liberal bias, and other than their congressional testimony, where they also denied said bias, have largely ignored the mounting piles of evidence that can be found all around the internet showing how conservatives have been censored, banned, blocked, shadow banned and downranked in search results, until now.
Now, since president Trump has relentlessly hammered them over the issue, Google has rushed out to publicly deny President Trumps accusations.
"Search is not used to set a political agenda and we don't bias our results toward any political ideology," a Google spokesperson said. "We continually work to improve Google Search and we never rank search results to manipulate political sentiment."
After president Trump called out Facebook and Twitter by name, in public at his West Virginia rally earlier in August, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey made the rounds on television, and finally admitted the company's bias, stating "We need to constantly show that we are not adding our own bias, which I fully admit is ... is more left-leaning."
Then of course he vehemently denied that the liberal bias he just admitted to having, company-wide, affects the decisions, saying "But the real question behind the question is, are we doing something according to political ideology or viewpoints? And we are not. Period."
Does anyone truly believe a company, and its employees, make decisions that are not affected by their admitted biases?
Recently, especially after President Trump took the liberal bias and censorship of conservatives to the national stage, rather than just the web, we are noting that while liberal media networks as a whole are still acting like this is nothing more than a conspiracy theory that President Trump is promoting, individual writers are apparently more than willing to throw big tech under the bus to preserve their own reputation.
New York Times surprisingly was the outlet that just busted Facebook's "intolerant" liberal culture within the social media platform, providing a two page memo which states "We claim to welcome all perspectives, but are quick to attack—often in mobs—anyone who presents a view that appears to be in opposition to left-leaning ideology."
In that memo written by Brian Amerige, a senior Facebook engineer, shockingly describes the atmosphere anyone that is not a progressive liberal faces within Facebook, stating "we tear down posters welcoming Trump supporters. We regularly propose removing Thiel from our board because he supported Trump. We’re quick to suggest firing people who turn out to be misunderstood, and even quicker to conclude our colleagues are bigots. We have made “All Lives Matter” a fireable offense. We put Palmer Luckey through a witch hunt because he paid for anti-Hillary ads. We write each other ad-hoc feedback in the PSC tool for having “offensive” ideas. We ask HR to investigate those who dare to criticize Islam’s human rights record for creating a “non inclusive environment.” And they called me a transphobe when I called out our corporate art for being politically radical."
According to the NYT article, over 100 members have joined a new internal group dubbed "FB'ers, to fight the liberal bias within Facebook.
The entire memo embedded at the bottom of the article.
While social media giants prepare to testify again before Congress, the White House has revealed they will be probing the liberal bias and censorship of conservatives by big tech, bringing us all a step closer to seeing official, possibly congressional action, taken to prevent this type of election interference, which according to senior research psychologist at the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology, Robert Epstein, could collectively "shift," by manipulating the public, up to 12 million votes in the November 2018 midterms alone.
He references this at around the 3 minute mark in the interview below.
President Trump has just taken the liberal bias and censoring of conservatives online to the nation, making it a national conversation rather than one limited by big tech to the pages of Independent Media and conservative news outlets, and he is once again using the media's own bias against them by forcing them to report his statements, whether to circle the wagons to defend big tech, or to jump ship and report the bias and censorship.
With the wall-to-wall, neverending Trump articles, the media has boxed itself into a corner and the only choice they have now is sink or swim.
