Karma Hits The MSM As Washington Post To Suffer $100 Million Loss For 2023, Toxic Feminist Site Jezebel Shutters, And Drag Queen Obsessed VICE Forced Into More Layoffs
Happy Veterans Day and a thank you to those that served to protect America.
While we are in the midst of World War III, with Iran using their terrorist proxies Hamas and Hezbollah, and the U.S. using Israel against Iran, and Ukraine against Russia, we still have a number of internal issues that are barely being reported on, and even then immediately buried.
One of those issues is the state of American national media, what they cover, how they cover it and the cost to them for allowing their radical far left employees and readers literally control what they publish, even as they are forced to lay off people and/or shutter their doors.
Media outlets, including Washington Post, are suffering humiliation, layoffs, and in some cases, such as the feminist website Jezebel, forced to completely close down.
What do they have in common? They lean left, in fact, to be more accurate, they are far left.
We're watching media outlets such as CNN, NYT, Wapo and others literally report "death tolls" given to them by the terrorist Hamas-controlled "health ministry," just as they did with the story about Israel bombing a hospital a couple of weeks ago, which was later reported to be a failed rocket from Hamas.
The initial coverage of a deadly blast at a Gaza hospital last week offers a fresh reminder of how hard it can be to get the news right — and what happens when it goes awry. The list of those news organizations that fell short is long and illustrious, including The New York Times, the BBC, Reuters, The Associated Press and more.
The false reporting caused massive protests, attacks against U.S. and Israel embassies, as well as attacks against U.S. troops in Iraq and other countries.
Even after issuing apologies for their "fog of war" reporting, they continue to push Hamas propaganda about what is happening in Gaza, while the older incorrect reports are still being citied by liberal anti-Semites across the internet.
So while war reporting is still important, if, and that is a big IF, they get it right, their previous reporting still have people discussing and spreading the initial false reports.
Aside from war reporting, we have outlets choosing topics that are turning away more readers than they are drawing, and making unforced errors which is causing the national media to suffer very public humiliation.
We'll discuss those below.

VICE'S UNHEALTHY ADDICTION TO DRAG QUEENS
Starting with VICE News, which started out strong, has filed for bankruptcy, laid off staff and has just announce another round of layoffs.
Vice Media told staff it will end production for some of its shows and announced layoffs, which will impact “less than 100” employees, as the company—which filed for bankruptcy earlier this year—moves to “restructure our overall corporate organization."
In looking at some VICE images and videos, we found they seem to have a weird and ungodly obsession with Drag Queens. The latest they have been promoting is a six year old baby drag queen.
His name is Asa, and from the VICE video, which is 18 minutes and frankly I have no desire to put an 18 minutes video about a 6 year old drag queen twirling around in female clothing, with his parents explaining:
The parents acknowledged that Asa’s interest in drag originated with his interest in dance.
“I would say, the real conversation about drag started the first time he went to Pride with us,” Jennifer said.
“The first time that we took any of our kids to Pride, Asa was four. We thought it would be a good way to bring our kids in and let them see the diversity of the world around us,” Aaron added.
At the Pride event, a drag queen began dancing on a stage. At that point, Asa asked his father if he could do the same.
Seriously, what kind of parents expose a four year old boy to a pride event? Those events have half naked people, with BDSM displays and as you see above, dancing drag queens.
When a media outlet is focused on an issue, to the point of obsession, one which alienates Americans with no interest in drag queens, is it any wonder they went' bankrupt and are now on yet another round of layoffs?
Next up:Jezebel -Touted as a Feminist publication, owned by G/O Media, is being shut down after failing to find a buyer for it.
Given what modern day feminism has become, that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that isn't a radical feminist, man-hater.
In a memo from CEO Jim Spanfeller, explaining why Jezebel has been shut down, although the website is still up, just no new content, shows us why Jezebel is no longer relevant.
The top line there says it all, and for those that cannot read it due to small print, it states "Unfortunately, our business model did not align with Jezebel's."
They spoke to multiple parties in an attempt to sell Jezebel, but unsurprisingly, none bit.
The problem with sites like Jezebel that are 1): created for only half the population, and 2): Appeal to only about 1/4, if that, of women since they went from regular feminism to modern day feminism, which at its core, is toxic, is that they drive away more readers than they gain.
The latest humiliation for Wapo was a cartoon choice, which sent liberals, including their staff, into a frenzy so bad the person that hand-picked the cartoon was forced to remove it. The employees, the top management, do not run Wapo when their employees can demand the removal of a political cartoon, claiming it was racist.
In reality, they didn't like the honesty of the cartoon.
The Pulitzer prize winning cartoonist, Michael Ramirez, obviously understands how the terrorist group Hamas hides in homes, in businesses and in hospitals to fire their rockets and missiles, as shown above in the cartoon in questions showing Hamas using humans as shields.
Still, Shipley's decision to remove Ramirez's cartoon reflects the power the Post's left-wing newsroom holds over its leaders. In a Wednesday night email to staffers, the paper's executive editor, Sally Buzbee, referenced her newsroom's "many deep concerns" over the cartoon, the Free Beacon reported.
Ramirez expressed his disappointment over his cartoon's removal, calling the move "a blow against … the freedom of speech."
"When the intellectually indolent try to defend the indefensible, they always seem to resort to playing the race card," Ramirez told the Free Beacon. "They're trying to claim that this caricature is a racial exercise, when in its specificity, it is Ghazi Hamad, who is a senior Hamas official, who went on Lebanese television praising the brutal Oct. 7 attack and systematic slaughter of women, children, and men and pledged to do it over and over again until the annihilation of Israel."
10 years after The Washington Post was purchased by Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos, the outlet is "on a pace to lose about $100 million in 2023," according to a recent New York Times report.
Fox News, even after heading leftward is still considered "conservative" media, although many conservatives would disagree, but it is still making money, not losing it. Other conservative outlets like Breitbart, are not seeing $100 million in losses for 2023.
Why? Because while reporting through a conservative prism, they still manage to cover both sides of issues. This is something the traditional news media has simply stopped doing, so they continue moving to the left.
The chart below shows how trust in media goes lower and lower the more to the left they move. The media may lie, but the data and trends, do not.
BOTTOM LINE
Independent Media has never been needed more. While we and others fully admit our bias, those in the MSM pretend they have no bias.
The fact is there are thousands more independent Media websites than there are MSM websites, even with cable news added into the mix, and collectively we can, and have (remember 2016) bypassed the media to get the truth out to the masses.
Conservative Independent Media websites may not agree on every issue, but each and ever one of us are trying to bring news and perspectives the MSM doesn't want you to see.
