CNN Intimidation Tactics Are A Media Pattern To Silence Americans Calling Them Out For Their 'Abusively Biased' Coverage

Sean Hannity, in an interview with Breitbart News Washington Political Editor Matt Boyle on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Saturday, hit the nail on the head in accusing CNN's pundits of carrying out an "intimidation" campaign against Americans who have been regularly calling them out for their "abusively biased" coverage.

“There’s a reason that people are shouting ‘CNN sucks.’ It’s because they do suck,” Hannity quipped. “This is just a means of — I think — of intimidating and trying to silence people for telling them — really shouting at them — that their coverage is abusively biased.”

Hannity was dismissive of the notion Jim Acosta and other leftist journalists are somehow uniquely endangered by President Trump’s anti-leftist media rhetoric. “With all due respect to everybody, I’ve had a lot of death threats over the years. I’ve had white powder sent to my office,” he said. “There’s always gonna be a crazy in every crowd. The shooting that took place at that baseball game practice, where Steve Scalise was shot, he was a Bernie supporter, but I don’t blame Bernie Sanders for the fact that one of his supporters is a nut.”

The shooting of GOP congressmen was the perfect example to use because it highlights not only the media bias in their coverage of that compared to their coverage of any event that involves someone other than a democrat, but how the media, very blatantly blames a whole group (GOP and conservatives) if an unhinged person harms a liberal, while treating any harm against a conservative as an outlier, or just a fringe crazy person.

This is most definitely an intimidation tactic the liberal media has used to control the populace in an attempt to get them to behave in a manner the media wants them to.

CNN HAS A HISTORY OF USING INTIMIDATION/BLACKMAIL TACTICS

Remember when President Trump shared an amusing GIF, created by a random anonymous Reddit user? (Shown below)

CNN used their vast resources to actually hunt down a random Reddit user who created the GIF above, which was shared via Twitter by President Trump, then ran an article about the user titled "How CNN found the Reddit user behind the Trump wrestling GIF."

Within the article, they made the following statement:

CNN is not publishing ‘HanA**holeSolo’s’ name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again,” the article stated. “…CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.”

Immediately after CNN promoted that article on Twitter, saying "Exclusive: CNN tracked down the Reddit user behind the Trump wrestling GIF. Now he's apologizing," the hashtag #CNNBlackmail started trending.

Conservatives took CNN to task over their obvious intimidation tactics in threatening a private citizen with exposure should his "behavior" not conform to what CNN thinks it should be in the future.

Reactions came out fast an furiously, as shown by Washington Times:

“CNN Threatens Reddit User for Exercising Free Speech,” tweeted one, Stefan Molyneux, above a photo of Trump’s face with the text, “CNN Blackmail.”

Julian Assange weighed in: “A multi-billion dollar TV network blackmailing a private citizen into not making funny videos about it is not journalism, CNN. #CNNBlackmail.”

So did plenty of others. Another: “Count me among those that [find] CNN’s veiled doxing threat to [HanA**holeSolo] very, very ethically shaky.”

Another: “Is that normal? Is @CNN essentially threatening to dox him, or am I reading that wrong?”

And another, from Mark Dice, media analyst: “The history books will show that on #july4th2017 CNN blackmailed someone who made a joke gif about them. #CNNBlackmail.”

Even liberals found CNN's tactics distasteful, as shown by the left-wing website Slate, who said CNN managed to make themselves look "foolish, self-righteous, and petty."

Which brought about 'The Great Meme War of 2017,' after Reddit users and the 4chan autists declared war on CNN with 'Operation: Autism Storm.'

Then Internet users from across the country started making hilarious GIF's shredding CNN.

RelatedHow CNN Lost the First Great Meme War

Then phase two began in the Internet Vs CNN war began and the autists started digging through CNN employees old social media posts, causing some to immediately locked down their accounts, putting them in protected mode where only those following/being followed could see their posts.

CNN DOXXES ELDERLY WOMAN OVER A FACEBOOK POST

ANP recently touched on this, so I won't delve too deep, but it is part of a documentable pattern of behavior on the part of CNN, and the liberal media as a whole. Suffice it to say that CNN showed up at an elderly woman's home and harassed her on camera, also managing to reveal where she lived.

Her crime? She belonged to a Facebook group that organized a pro-Trump event and shared a post that FB claims came from a Russian-linked account. She attended the event, as did other members of the group, all Trump supporters. CNN accuses her of helping Russia.

As to Hannity's point about the "abusively biased" coverage, please note that recently it was revealed that 131 liberals attended an event that was allegedly connected to Russia social media activities, yet CNN hasn't approached any of them to accuse them of colluding with Russia.

MEDIA COLLECTIVELY USES THESE INTIMIDATION TACTICS TO SILENCE AMERICANS

CNN is not alone in using these types of tactics against Americans, as the liberal establishment media has been attempting to intimidate conservatives for ages. The recent attempts were during the 2016 election cycle, and continues to this day, where they allow their panelists, their guests, and their paid commentators to consistently label Trump supporters as racist, Nazis, rapists, etc.. hoping to intimidate those supporters into silence for fear of being labeled.

Hillary Clinton tried that with her labeling of Trump supporters as "deplorables," which backfired spectacularly when those same supporters started adding the term "deplorable" to their commenting names, their social media users handles, wearing it like a badge of honor.

President Trump capitalized on it with in a speech where he stood at a podium with a "les deplorable" image behind him, which made the crowd roar.

BOTTOM LINE

CNN's incessant whining because Trump supporters are calling them out, very loudly, for their "abusively biased" coverage, is not just because their feelings are hurt, it is a pattern of abusive behavior geared to silence Americans the liberal media does not agree with.

The media has lost the trust of the majority of America, and with that loss of trust, they have lost their ability to control the narrative, therefore control the people, and they will use any tactic, intimidation, fear, and attacks, against those they consider the enemy.

The only answer for Independent media and conservatives is to push back against these tactics, speak up, speak loudly, and document every example of the media's lies, their abusive coverage, and their hypocrisy.
