On September 11, 2025, President Trump signed the proclamation Patriot Day 2025, The 24th Anniversary of the September 11 Terrorist Attacks on December 18, 2001 Congress approved HJ Res 71 and President Bush signed it into Public Law 107-89 designating September 11 each year as Patriot Day. The law calls upon the President to issue a proclamation each year for Patriot Day. The proclamation is to call upon
1) State and local governments and the people of the US to celebrate Patriot Day with appropriate programs and activities; 2) all US flags on government buildings are to be at half-staff for the day; and 3) people in the US to observe a moment of silence for those who lost their lives in the attacks.
In the Proclamation, President Trump does exactly what Congress requires of him:
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, do herby proclaim September 11, 2025, as Patriot Day, 2025. I call upon all departments, agencies, and instrumentalities of the United States to display the flag of the United States at half-staff in honor of the 2,977 innocent souls who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. I also invite the Governors of the United States and its Territories, and interested organizations and individuals, to join in this observance. To our Nation’s young people, I encourage you to ask your family, friends, and neighbors, as well as our military service members and first responders, to recount their memories of that fateful day, share how it touched their lives, and reflect upon the unmatched pride that comes with being an American citizen.
In the video short below, President Trump makes remarks about 9/11.
On September 11, 2025, the White House published the article President Trump, First Lady Mark 9/11 with Solemn Vow to Never Forget while at a memorial service at the Pentagon. President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump participated in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Pentagon to honor the victims of that day. At the event, in Arlington, Virginia, the President made remarks (shown in the video below). He spoke of acts of heroism on that day such as Army Sergeant First Class Steve Workman who, once he led others to safety, returned to the building and rescued the only survivor from the Navy Command Center. He also honored the son of US Army Lieutenant Colonel Kip Taylor, Luke, who is now a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army, following in his father's footsteps. He spoke of the crew and passengers who found out about the twin towers and decided, in the skies over Pennsylvania, that they would not allow their plane to be used to desecrate another US founding landmark, attacking the hijackers and taking the plane down themselves in an open field.
Unfortunately, I think we ARE forgetting what was done on 9/11. If we weren't the socialist Islamist in New York City would not have been made the democratic party's candidate for mayor of that great city. Sharia law would not be replacing our US Constitution and Bill of Rights in major cities across our great nation. Members of Congress would not be stating, on the record, that they owe their allegiance to a foreign country instead of to the US. But we HAVE forgotten. The alternative news cycle on 9/11 is full of speculation about the assassination of Charlie Kirk (discussed in my September 11, 2025 ANP Article) instead of remembering 9/11. I stood firm when it mattered most.
Today's Patriot is Thomas Stone who was born in 1743 at Poynton Manor in Charles County, Maryland. He was 1 of 13 children (at least 6 of whom were half-siblings), 11 of whom survived to adulthood. His ancestors were of English and Swedish origin.
Thomas was admitted to the Maryland bar in 1864, practicing law in Frederick, Maryland until about 1771 when he returned to Charles County. In 1765, he rode the circuit court riding from Port Tobacco to and from Frederick, Annapolis, and Philadelphia.
Thomas' political career began in December 1774 when he was elected to be a delegate to the First Continental Congress, taking is seat in May 1775. He signed the Olive Branch Petition on July 5, 1775. This Petition was the last official effort to directly bring reconciliation between the Colonies and Britain. In 1776, Thomas was elected to the Maryland Senate and continued to represent Maryland at the Second Continental Congress, joining Charles Carroll of Carrollton, William Paca, and Samuel Chase. Although he preferred to find ways to make peace with Britain, he both voted for Independence and signed the Declaration of Independence anyway. In 1777, he served on the committee to form the Articles of Confederation.
He died from grief at age 44 on October 5, 1787, while waiting to board the ship to England in Alexandria, Virginia. He is interred at the family estate, Habre de Venture, near Port Tobacco, Charles County, Maryland. The family estate is now called the Thomas Stone National Historic Site.
The USS Thomas Stone (AP-59) was named after Patriot Thomas Stone. The ship, a passenger liner, was launched on May 1, 1941 and originally commissioned the USS President Van Buren on August 12, 1941 in Newport News, Virginia. The ship was acquired by the Navy on January 14, 1942 to be used to transport troops. It was commissioned the USS Thomas Stone on May 18, 1942. The ship was damaged during the war and the high winds and heavy swells drove the ship into the shore causing further damage. Because of this damage, the ship was reclassified to APA-29 on February 1, 1943. After a year of salvage, efforts were made to refloat the ship in spring of 1944; but the ship did not float. The ship was placed out of commission on April 1, 1944, the name was struck from the Navy's list of ships on April 8, 1944 and the hulk was sold as scrap to Le Materiel Economique, Algiers. The USS Thomas Stone received one battle star for WWII service.
Those are some of the exact words used by Google’s censors, aka 'Orwellian content police,' in describing many of our controversial stories. Stories later proven to be truthful and light years ahead of the mainstream media. But because we reported those 'inconvenient truths' they're trying to bankrupt ANP.
