Over the course of the past three years we at ANP have noticed and documented the increasing frequency of physical attacks and harassment over political ideology, many times incited by the media, and encouraged by certain politicians like Maxine 'Mad Max' Waters, urging supporters to gather in mobs to attack conservatives.
The latest example of the threats faced by many conservatives is the image above, which according to Summit News, are fliers that have been posted on streets posts and parking meters in New York, which say "DEATH CAMPS FOR TRUMP SUPPORTERS NOW!!!"
The fact is political violence is on the rise and with the media's irresponsibility with their constant "outrage reporting," where everything President Trump does is the "end of the world," or "racist," or whatever they are claiming at that moment, deliberately keeping their audience infuriated and enraged, it is only going to get worse.
Now, more than ever, it is vitally important for Americans be prepared to defend themselves....and there are a variety of ways they can do so, from obtaining proper training in firearms to learn how to safely and responsibly prepare to defend themselves with lethal force, to non-lethal measures for personal security.
SELF-DEFENSE IS EVERYONE'S RIGHT................
As our regular readers know we at ANP are proponents of prepping, whether it is long-storage emergency survival foods, first aid kits, water....etc.... it is important to bre prepared for any event, whether it be a natural disater or a terror attack, a grid down scenario, and for some those preparations have helped them through long-term unemployment until they could get back on their feet, but it is just as important to prepare to defend yourself against bad actors.
One of the first things many think about in terms of self-defense is a firearm, and there are some very good reasons offered by the website The Federalist as to why more people should consider concealed carry, but not everyone is comfortable around guns, or for whatever reason simply do not want to go that route.
In a recent article I touched on a few items that could be used for personal protection, but it was not the focus of the article, and while researching self-defense weapons other than firearms, I found a cornucopia of information, and different ways that can be used to protect ourselves and those around us.
Further research, via reviews and descriptions, highlighted which are the most popular, but more importantly, not every method is appropriate for everyone.
For example, an elderly woman or man might not be cordinated enough to use non-chucks, while a small stun gun may be more appropriate. Many choices are also dependent on whether the personal security item is for use within the home, or something to carry while out and about in the case of an attack.
The point here is that each and every one of us are entitled to self-defense, to protect ourselves, our families, friends and community, but the method one chooses or the weapon of choice one chooses, is a very personal decision, which takes into account our mobility, our level of training, and our individual abilities.
NON-LETHAL SELF-DEFENSE WEAPONS
Starting with the non-lethal, the products below are affordable and have some very good reveiws.
Pepper Sprays:Note - This seems to be best used for outdoors, but not advisable for indoor use unless absolutely necessary as some of the reviews were clear that the rate of dissipation ended up affecting the user as well as the attacker.
Out of all the products researched, when it came to pepper sprays, the SABRE brand received the best reviews with 4 and 5 stars.
Tasers: (Note- Tasers are a little more expensive, but rather than just stunning the attacker from up close, they fire barbs attached by wires to batteries, which will incapacitate them temporarily.)
While many prefer non-lethal options to disable an attacker in order to get away, against multiple attackers that could be problematic, so survival knives, or switchblades are another option of a weapon that can be carried on you unseen, but offers the ability to disable a person fast in order to focus on the next threat.
WARNING: While we should not have to say this, after reading many of the reviews on the products to determine which were the best to suggest, we found an astounding amount of people that thought it would be a good idea to test the products on themselves.... which they regretted immediately. So, warning: Do not test these products on yourself or friends and family.
BOTTOM LINE
We all have the inalienable right to self-defense, but the choice of what weapon to use is generally a personal choice that factors in skillset, ability, and even mobility in some cases.
We prepare for emergencies, we prepare for survival.... everyone should also prepare to defend themselves, especially given the increase of political violence we are seeing in this day and age.
EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER:Despite generous donations, the still dwindling advertising revenue over the course of the last two years has forced us to completely deplete all our savings just to survive and continue to keep All News PipeLine online.
So due to continuous attacks upon us and ongoing censorship, ANP is extending our emergency fundraiser through September. PLEASE HELP KEEP ANP ALIVE BY DONATING USING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING METHODS.
