In this day and age where athiests are displaying billboards encouraging people to skip church and businesses are forbidding their employees to say "Merry Christmas" and the Satanic Temple is allowed to hold a state sanctioned Satanic ceremony on the capitol steps in Michigan, it is a welcoming sight to see people fighting back against the so called "political correctness," and declaring themselves "Politically INcorrect."
On November 25, 2015, Berndt Petersen from Eyewitness News 9, took to Twitter to show a sign that a Georgia Sheriff posted outside the Harris County's Sheriff headquarters (shown above) stating it was getting a lot of attention. The sign states "Warning: Harris County is politically in-correct. We say Merry Christmas, God Bless America and In God We Trust. We salute our troops and our flag. If this offends you... LEAVE!"
According to Breitbart, Sheriff Mike Jolley paid for the sign out of his own pocket.
The sheriff is defending his sign, saying that not enough people today are speaking up in support of traditional American values. He called those who support traditional values a “silent majority” in America.
“I spent 20 years in the army to give everyone the right not to agree with it, and voice their opinion if they’re not and that’s fine. But after being the sheriff of Harris County for 23 years, I believe that the vast majority of my citizens here in Harris County agree with what’s on that sign,” Sheriff Jolley told CBS affiliate WRBL.
On November 20, 2015 it was reported that Schuler's Bakery in Ohio posted a sign on their door which states "Notice. This store is politically incorrect. We say Merry Christmas, God Bless America, we salute our flag & give thanks to our troops, police officers and firefighters. If this offends you, you are welcome to leave. In God We Trust.” — Schuler’s Bakery, Trent A. Schuler (CEO/Owner)"
According to WGNTV multiple Facebook users posted the sign and received thousands of shares for it, with one user stating "I'm still laughing! In our day and age, where everyone is offended by everything, I thought this was perfect!! Thank you to Schuler's for this sign!! I hope all of their locations have this!!"
On December 20, 2015, ABC News reports that another business is joining the list of those that refuse to be "politically correct" for the sake of those that act all offended when people celebrate Christmas or wish others a Merry Christmas.
A Texas restaurant chain called Berryhill Baja Grill has put up a sign at their restaurants across the state, stating ""Notice: This store is politically incorrect. We say 'Merry Christmas,' 'God bless America.' We salute our flag and give thanks to our troops, police officers and firefighters. If this offends you, you are welcome to leave. In God we trust."
The CEO, Jeff Anon, who happens to be Jewish, spoke to ABC News to explain "I just got tired of all the news of everybody having to be politically correct." Anon continues on to say "There’s nothing wrong with saying 'Merry Christmas' in lieu of 'Happy Holidays.' When people say 'Merry Christmas,' they’re being nice."
"The outpouring of support has been absolutely terrific. We’re actually getting a lot of requests from people to get the sign," he said. "Some people say you shouldn’t take religion into the workplace. We’re not trying to bring religion into the workplace. It has nothing to do with religion. It’s the spirit of the holidays."
Here at ANP we hope to see these signs popping up all across America because "political correctness" is just another way to limit free speech.
We at ANP wish you a Merry Christmas and "If this offends you.... LEAVE!"
