On September 10, 2025, the White House published the article President Trump Has Crushed Biden’s Inflation Crisis lauds the Producer Price Index (PPI) that was 2.6% in August whereas it was expected to be at least 3.3%. Personally, I don't see it at the grocery store or in my utilities.
In the lawsuit Newsom v. Trump docket # 3:25-cv-04870 filed in District Court, N.D. California on June 9, 2025 about the deployment of the National Guard, the proceedings are stayed as of September 9, 2025. The initial lawsuit seeks the following relief: 1) A declaration that the June 7, 2025 Presidential Memorandum calling into Federal service members and units of the National Guard under 10 U.S.C. § 12406 and Secretary Hegseth’s June 7 and June 9 Orders (and any future orders) calling the California National Guard into service under the stated authority of the President’s use of 10 U.S.C. § 12406 are unauthorized by and contrary to the laws of the United States; 2) Injunctive relief prohibiting the DOD Defendants from federalizing and deploying the California National Guard and military without meeting the requirements of 10 U.S.C. § 12406, which include that issuance shall be “through the Governor” and only for the reasons set forth in 10 U.S.C. § 12406 (1-3) and not to conduct domestic law enforcement activities; 3) Award the State of California its costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees; and 4) Such additional relief as the court deems proper and the interests of justice may require. Judge Charles R. Breyer issued a stay for all proceedings because the case is being appealed to the 9th Circuit and this lower court needs to wait for the 9th Circuit to make it's judgement before acting further in the case. The Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, Circuit Judges Bennett, Miller, and Sung has granted the government's request for an administrative stay until the pending appeal can be considered on its merits.
Charlie attended government k-12 schools Prospect Heights, Chicago, Illinois. Charlie achieved the rank of Eagle Scout as a long-time member of the Boy Scouts of America. In 2010, Charlie became engaged in politics during his junior year of high school, creating an on-campus conservative political group called SOS Liberty. He went on to attend Harper College, dropping out in 2012 to pursue politics full-time. In May 2019 Charlie received an honorary degree of Doctor of Humanities from Liberty University.
In 2012, Charlie founded Turning Point USA (TPUSA) to promote free markets, limited government, and fiscal responsibility to students. In 2019 he founded Turning Point Action as the political advocacy arm of TPUSA. In November 2019, Charlie and Jerry Falwell, Jr co-founded the "Falkirk Center for Faith and Liberty" a right-wing think tank owned and housed by Liberty University. In 2021, the University decided to rename the center Standing for Freedom Center. In 2021, he created Turning Point Faith to mobilize religious communities. Charlie's focus was campus activism, youth engagement, and faith-based organizing.
Charlie became a close friend of President Donald J. Trump, appearing with the President at rallies, fundraisers, and other political events. Charlie held positions in a variety of organizations: William F. Buckley Jr. Council Member of the Council for National Policy; spokesperson for CNP Action; member of the United States Air Force Academy Board of Visitors (appointed by President Trump); and chairman of Students for Trump.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Erika Frantzve, whom he married on May 8, 2021 in Scottsdale, Arizona, and 2 children, a daughter and a son. Unlike many of the Patriots of Olde (signers of the Declaration of Independence) Charlie's net worth at the time of his death was over $12,000,000.
Charlie was assassinated, at age 31, by a currently unknown individual with a rifle firing a single bullet from a rooftop about 200 yards away from where Charlie was speaking on September 10, 2025 at the Utah Valley University, Utah.
