Despite allowing himself to be pressured into making a follow-up statement regarding the events that occurred in Charlottesville, VA over the weekend, President Trump's initial statement was spot on and should have been left alone, condemning the violence on "many, many sides," because the Confederate Monument controversy is simply the latest "justification" on the part of the increasingly violent left, which started well before Donald Trump even announced his plans to run for President.
THE SECOND CIVIL WAR IN AMERICA STARTED LONG AGO
The link above is to an Atlantic article titled "The Rise Of The Violent Left" which is a good read and explains much of the escalation we have been seeing in Antifa driven riots and violence Americans have been subjected to since President Trump was elected, but a good summary of events, provided by Ben Domenech over at The Federalist, adds much-needed context as examples of leftists protests that have turned violent over the past eight years are documented.
Oakland 2009, Akron 2009, Pittsburgh 2009, Santa Cruz 2010, Oakland 2010, Los Angeles 2010, Oakland 2011, Chicago 2012, Anaheim 2012, Brooklyn 2013, Ferguson 2014, New York City 2014, Baltimore 2015, Anaheim 2016, Chicago 2016, St Paul 2016, Milwaukee 2016, Charlotte 2016, Standing Rock 2016, Oakland 2016, Portland 2016, Washington DC 2017, Berkeley 2017, Anaheim 2017, Berkeley (again) 2017, Berkeley (again again) 2017, Olympia 2017, and Portland 2017. This is a list of overwhelmingly leftist protests.
Adding even more context, we note the multiple "free speech" rallies that stayed largely peaceful until Antifa showed up, with the deliberate intent of causing violence, so that the media could say it was a "violent free speech rally" rather than outside agitators crashing a peaceful event.
An example: The April 15, 2017 Patriots Day Free Speech rally hosted by The Liberty Revival Alliance, an event scheduled ahead of time, and Antifa groups started telling its members that it was really a Nazi rally, asking for members to join in to show up and "shut it down."
Once Antifa showed up, all hell broke loose, exactly as they planned. They weren't there to "defend their communities" as their signs said, because the free speech rally participants were not in any way being disruptive or violent, until they were attacked by Antifa.
Now lets look at Charlottesville, VA, where a rally to protest the removal of confederate monuments was scheduled, with organizers obtaining the permits to hold their rally, and once again Antifa type groups decided to "counter-protest," which is fine, except they deliberately planned, once again, to cause chaos and violence, which resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to dozens of others.
I have reported this but lets make it clear how we can make that assertion: The governor of Virginia himself, warned the day before the rally was to take place that people should "stay away from Charlottesville" because "extremist groups, many of which are located outside of Virginia, who may seek to commit acts of violence against rally participants or law enforcement officials."
Make no mistake, we are not defending the man that allegedly rammed his car into a crowd of people, killing a woman, and if investigations show he did so deliberately and not a tragic accident in an attempt to escape harm himself, then he should be held fully accountable for his actions, but the media, the violent left and their enablers, want to rewrite history, by ignoring the fact that authorities knew Antifa groups were coming to attack police and rally participants.
The mainstream media, Democratic politicians and the liberal left would have everyone believe that anyone that joined the rally in protest of removing American history in a war against Confederate monuments and flags, which they now are calling for them to all be "outlawed," are all to be labeled as "white supremacists," and "racists," which they are now casting "alt-right" and "nationalists" with the same brush, but that narrative also is blown to bits by a group in Dallas that has just formed, of "predominantly African Americans," calling for the monuments to remain standing.
The debate about Confederate statues in Dallas intensified on Monday as a group made up of predominantly African Americans called for the monuments to remain standing.
Several cities across America have now begun to remove or talk about removing Confederate markers shortly after a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville turned deadly.
Former city council member Sandra Crenshaw thinks removing the statues won’t help.
“I’m not intimidated by Robert E. Lee’s statue. I’m not intimidated by it. It doesn’t scare me,” said Crenshaw. “We don’t want America to think that all African Americans are supportive of this.”
Crenshaw, along with some Buffalo Solider historians and Sons of Confederate Veterans are coming together to help protect the Confederate markers from toppling over in Dallas.
They feel the monuments, like the Freedman’s Cemetery, tell an important story and help heal racial wounds.
“Some people think that by taking a statue down, that’s going to erase racism,” said Crenshaw. “Misguided.”
Will the media now declare Ms. Crenshaw a "racist" or a "white supremacist" because of her position that the Confederate monuments should stay standing? Her point is the same as is being made by many others, whether their positions on this specific topic aligns with other positions help by white supremacists or not.
Just because some people want to stand holding signs with Swastikas while protesting the removal and erasing of history, doesn't mean all those against removing the confederate monuments are part of the white supremacist groups, and that is what the media refuses to acknowledge.
In other words if I agree with one Democratic proposal based on its merits, does that make me a liberal or a Democratic when everything else I stand for is more conservative? If a Democrat stands for one proposal by the Trump administration, while arguing against most others, does it make that Democrat a conservative or Republican?
No, that is just silly, yet that is what the MSM is feeding their sheep of an audience.
This has been noticed by many others, as I noted this morning a post at ATS titled "So apparently I'm an alt-right neo-Nazi."
So, apparently I'm an alt-right neo-Nazi now. What the hell is an alt-right anyway? From what I understand, basically anyone that supports Trump is alt-right, basically anyone that doesn't share the leftist ideology is alt-right, basically anyone that believes in freedoms for ALL is alt-right. Apparently alt-right and neo-Nazi is now synonymous because an idiot wing-nut decided to be an idiot and ram his car into a crowd full of people, and apparently since this idiot supported Trump, Trump now has blood on his hands and apparently so do I because I support him. And apparently all Nazi's deserve to die. Or something like that..
Apparently..
Interesting.. so I guess I'm an alt-right neo-Nazi now, even though I'm not white, even though I'm of immigrant descent, even though I'm not a righty, even though I'm not a republican or conservative.. but because I support Trump, because I support freedoms for everybody, and because I can tolerate unpopular views that some people consider hateful. Or something like that..
That ladies and gentlemen is the whole point, dare to disagree with the MSM preferred narrative and they will label you. This is excellently explained with an analysis by T.L. Davis over at Christian Mercenary, calling it the "Collectivist question, stating "Racism is a tool of the collectivist. The goal is to dismantle the American society by attacking whites and the symbols of white success by branding it oppression'."
Convert or die, or conform to the official narrative or be destroyed by the "guilt by association" crowd.
Today, the question is not whether or not one is a racist, but whether or not one is a collectivist, because the way the issue has been framed by the collectivists in government and the media is that if you are not one of them you are by definition a racist, or an Islamophobic or homophobic, because that is the way they intend to destroy not only you as a traditional American (of whatever color) but the traditional America and seize complete control of the nation. When they achieve that, complete control, the real killing will begin, so answer that question carefully. It is the Jihadist (and why they like them so much) question: "Convert or die?"
Everyone must be divided into groups and if the Antifa crowd becomes violent the media will call it a "protest" and if anyone that believes in free speech, in not erasing history by allowing the removal of historical monuments in this latest excuse for violence, fights back against the Antifa groups, they are automatically labeled violent.
Who would gain the most from a civil war on American soil? The communists, the globalists of the deep state, the media, Democrats, establishment Republicans (including the NeverTrumpers) that are using irregular warfare tactics, in order to overthrow the duly elected President of the United States. The same people that fought tooth and nail to prevent Donald Trump from winning the presidential election.
Quite a bit of information has come out since the events in Charlottesville, VA, which has many asking some serious questions. For example: How coincidental is it that man named Brennan Gilmore, a former Obama State Dept.employee, also the former chief of staff for Tom Perriello's gubernatorial campaign (Perriello's was given $500,000 by George Soros), and just happened to captured the footage of the car ramming into the people in Charlottesville.
There are also questions being asked about Jason Kessler, former paid CNN contributor assigned to cover Occupy Wall Street and Democratic activist, new to the "alt-right" scene as the media would have us believe, also listed as being the person to organize the Unite The Right rally in Charlottesville. That is an awfully big leap from one extreme to the other. Just sayin'.
While authorities have arrested and charged a 20 year-old for the car ramming incident, there are those questioning whether he was, indeed, behind the wheel, as shown below, and readers can weigh in with their own thoughts below in the comment section, we are just showing that there are points of view out there that contrast the official narrative.
Another coincidence brought to our attention is that authorities nationwide use Dodge Challengers as police vehicles, the same type of vehicle that was used in the car attack.
IS IT TOO LATE TO STOP WHAT IS BARRELING TOWARDS US?
This morning as I was collecting links for this article, I ran across a number of articles which forces us to take a good look at what is happening and ask ourselves if it is already too late to stop what is coming?
Many of the same groups that have organized violent demonstrations in Berkeley, California and elsewhere are now calling for an aggressive response to the violence in Charlottesville. Far-left “anti-fascist” (or antifa) figures are advising agitators to do the job that police won’t: shutting down “fascists” and preventing them from organizing.
Using fascists tactics to shut down free speech, even if it is offensive speech, and pretending they are "anti-fascists."
Another group, Revolutionary Abolition Movement, claims that showing up with the sole intent of causing violence against the rally participants, exactly as the governor warned beforehand that they were planning to do, actually "saved lives."
I kid you not.
“Our fighters showed daring and a willingness to risk their own safety for the sake of others, and we hold them in the highest regard. Due to their fortitude and unwavering determination, the anti-fascists held their ground and succeeded in stopping the rally. Though we will never know exactly how many lives were saved by their actions, it is clear that without resistance to their fascist terror many more would have been harmed,” reads the statement.
Notice they never acknowledge that had they, groups supported by Geogre Soros, not deliberately attended with the intent to create chaos and violence, no one would have been injured, no one would have been killed. Typical communist, crybully, snowflake mindset.... start trouble, attack others, and when violence finally spirals out of control, act like they are the victim.
On the other side, we have the white supremacists, whom the MSM labels "white nationalists," in order to lump everyone that disagrees with the official narrative into the same category, declaring that Charlottesville was just the beginning, announcing plans for more demonstrations to promote their agenda.
It might be too late to stop what is barreling towards us.
The question here is what about the rest of us, the conservatives willing to fight for their constitutional rights, their right to freedom of religion, free speech, those against the removal of the monuments, etc...... and those that ideologically might agree with many of the stances of Antifa, yet speak out against the violence, which of course we don't see much of as most simply enable them by trying to justify their antics, but still..... what are the majority of Americans to do when speaking up and standing on principle automatically has us labeled as one extremist side of the spectrum or the other?
The answer to that is to speak louder, refuse to allow ourselves to be labeled or to have those labels be used against us. We must hammer the point home that just because we might agree with one side or another on a certain issue, doesn't put us in the same "boat" as the extremists on other issues. We also have to call them out every single time they engage in violence with the sole purpose of creating a full-out civil war on American soil in order to overthrow the Trump administration.
If we allow them to get away with labeling us, rewriting history, deliberately allowing violence just to further their agenda, we deserve what we get.
Otherwise, it is time to fight back and show them they have bitten off more than they can chew.
