To fully understand the scope of what we are watching play out very publicly since President Trump ordered the declassification of relevant documents in regards to the actions of Obama-era high level intelligence officials before and after the 2016 presidential election, giving Attorney General Bill Barr the authority to gather information from a number of agencies and to decide how much can be declassified, we have to take a quick trip back to January 6, 2017.
The widely misrepresented Office of the Director of National Intelligence report titled "Background to “Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections”: The Analytic Process and Cyber Incident Attribution," where information from three intelligence agencies was collected and put into a report that was compiled by the Director of National Intelligence office.
The media, politicians and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton all misrepresented the report claiming it was the work and conclusion of 17 intelligence agencies, claiming they all found that Russia interfered int he 2016 election in order to help Donald Trump.
On Page 6 of the 25 page report, it clearly stated the following:
This report includes an analytic assessment drafted and coordinated among The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and The National Security Agency (NSA), which draws on intelligence information collected and disseminated by those three agencies. It covers the motivation and scope of Moscow’s intentions regarding US elections and Moscow’s use of cyber tools and media campaigns to influence US public opinion. The assessment focuses on activities aimed at the 2016 US presidential election and draws on our understanding of previous Russian influence operations. When we use the term “we” it refers to an assessment by all three agencies.
In December of 2016 Barack Obama ordered the production of the report and demanded it be completed before he left office and before President Trump was inaugurated.
THOSE SAME BAD ACTORS ARE THE ONES MELTING DOWN NOW
The Director of National Intelligence at the time was James Clapper. The Director of the FBI at the time was James Comey. The Director of the CIA was John Brennan.
The same three men who are now pointing their fingers at each other over who out of the three insisted the unverified and salacious Steele dossier be used as part of the "intelligence" that went into that January 6, 2017 DNI report.
Is it any wonder that John Brennan is going on MSNBC and having a meltdown over AG Barr's investigation and authority to declassify the underlying documentation to show exactly what these senior level former intelligence officials were up to back then?
Here is Brennan below, claiming his former colleagues are "looking upon this with great concern and worry." Brennan himself is "deeply, deeply concerned about what is going on right now."
I bet he is concerned. A look at John Brennan's Twitter feed shows a very public meltdown, and an obsession with President Trump, where he consistently attacks the President and even AG Barr, in an apparent attempt to preemptively discredit the investigations into the investigators ahead of the Inspector General report that is due by the end of May or in June.
James Comey doesn't appear to be taking the turn of events very well either, as on May 24, 2019 he took to Twitter to state "Investigate whatever you wish about 2016 but don’t forget the people of the FBI must investigate and stop Russian efforts in the 2020 election. What impact will loose talk about “spying” and disgraceful talk about “treason” have on FBI agents and analysts?"
Meanwhile, Clapper told CNN's Anderson Cooper that the "bigger issue" is "what exactly is the scope" of the declassification, whether it involves all of Russia's interference in the election or just the counter-intelligence probe. He expressed similar concerns as Brennan regarding sources and methods being exposed and putting "people's lives at risk."
Clapper, now a CNN analyst, insisted that the infamous Steele dossier was not used as sourcing for the intelligence community assessment in January 2017.
ONE MAN SAVED THE U.S. FROM A MASSIVE CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS
Back to that Intelligence Community (IC) assessment. Notice that only one agency head from that IC report, former NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers, is not all over social media and liberal cable news complaining, throwing a fit and basically freaking out?
Rogers served as director of the NSA, commander of the U.S. Cyber Command, and Central Security Service chief from April 2014 to May 2018. Rogers is the one that exposed the Obama administration's "702" illegal spying operation.
Section 702 permits the government to target foreign persons located outside the United States for surveillance, with the purpose of acquiring foreign intelligence information. Oversight of Section 702 collection is conducted by the FISA court. For more on Title III and Section 702, see here.
Key quote from that piece:
Rogers played a major role in uncovering ongoing FISA abuses, and his efforts are revealed in the April 26, 2017, FISA court ruling. Significant changes to the handling of raw Section 702 FISA data resulted from the FISA court’s findings.
At approximately the 2:50 minute mark below, former Federal prosecutor Joe diGenova highlights the part that Rogers played in exposing massive FISA abuses, calling Rogers a "hero."
That is why we are seeing Comey, Clapper and Brennan have very public nervous breakdowns over the upcoming IG report, the review by AG Barr into their actions, and the appointment of U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate the investigators, yet we are not hearing one word of complaint from Admiral Rogers, because chances are, he will be their key witness into the illegal activities of the others.
After Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election, Barack Obama ordered the DNI report, where Comey, Brennan and Clapper set up the entire Russian collusion hoax, and Admiral Mike Rogers made sure there was a trail to follow to prove it.
That entire January 2017 DNI report is compromised and they all know it is about to become public knowledge. Those of us that have been reporting on the corrupt actions of the upper echelon of multiple intelligence agencies under Obama, to which the media and others claimed was just a "conspiracy," predicted this would be a big deal, but even we may have underestimated just how big a deal this is going to be.
These men should be on suicide watch because they are about to be publicly exposed.
