Targeted For Imprisonment, Lethal Injection

By Deborah Dupré

An innocent targeted individual’s worst nightmare in ‘Don’t Mess With Texas’ state is being messed with to save her life from lethal injection. Charity organization Reprieve sent a statement in an email Tuesday to Deborah Dupré regarding its recently obtained explosive new evidence of authorities blackmailing and intimidating key witnesses into lying in testimonies about TI Linda Carty to ensure her conviction.

Both the Linda Carty’s case and new evidence regarding it are exemplars of human rights violations against innocent targeted individuals. They show extraordinary means that an ugly, sophisticated underworld use to abuse the justice system to target innocent ethical people, according to new evidence, albeit under reported.

Lies, Core Tool Used To Ruin TIs’ Lives

Targeted grandmother Linda Carty, 56, on death row ten years after recruited to be an informant and framed for kidnap and murder, has come closer to exoneration due to charity organization Reprieve’s work. New and crucially important evidence has emerged. A witness, who claimed seeing Carty kill a woman, has now admitted that to prevent being placed on death row as authorities threatened, he lied.

Today, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals is considering Reprieve’s new evidence. Reprieve ultimately hopes to secure a new trial, according to its emailed statement Tuesday.

“If Linda is not granted a new hearing, she faces the death penalty based on lies extracted by prosecutors desperate to secure an execution at any cost.” stated Clare Algar, Executive Director of Reprieve. “Her last hope is that Texas recognizes that she deserves a new – and this time fair – trial.”

The crime occurred May 16, 2001 when three men broke into the apartment of Rodriguez and her partner Raymundo Cabrera, demanding drugs and cash. The three abducted Rodriguez and her four-day-old son, Ray. The baby was later found unharmed in a car. Rodriguez had suffocated. “The perpetrators saved their own lives by laying the blame on Linda,” according to Repreive.

Framing Tactic To Ruin Innocent TI Lives Employed On Carty

Carty, a Sunday school teacher, had been attempting to leave her secret position as an informant after the DEA recruited her to rat on neighbors and church members. It is opined that what she learned as an informant resulted in her wanting to have nothing to do with it. People involved in the illegal drug industry then framed and accused her of masterminding a conspiracy to abduct a newborn baby by murdering her neighbor, the baby’s mother. Carty’s trial was then utterly flawed. The main evidence against Carty was by convicted criminals who actually carried out the murder.

No evidence of TI wrongdoing exists for any of the hundreds of accounts sent to Deborah Dupré. No evidence against Linda exists, except testimony of those who involved in the crime, some of whom were career criminals, who blamed the plot on Carty.

TIs find no help from attorney’s, most seemingly part of the corrupt system to ruin a TIs lives as though they have orders “from the top.” As TI Richard Cain recently told Dupré in an email, lawyers these days will not touch a TI case since TIs are on a watch or hit list as a terrorist and aiding or abetting a terrorist is grounds for imprisonment. Carty’s lawyer has been Jerry Guerinot, “incompetent,” according to Retrieve.

“An incompetent lawyer, prosecutorial misconduct and a trial riddled with holes led to Linda’s conviction for the murder of Joana Rodriguez in 2001. Linda has now been on death row in Texas for over a decade,” Reprieve stated today.

In fact, Carty was represented by possibly the worst capital lawyer in American history, court-appointed Jerry Guerinot, who put 20 people on death row. That is more than the number of death row prisoners in 26 of the states. He did not meet with her until two weeks before her capital trial; spent only 15 minutes with her; failed to interrogate prosecution witnesses; and failed to call to the stand those who would most certainly have saved Linda’s life, according to Reprieve.

Throughout this “catastrophically flawed” case, Reprieve and Carty have battled illicit drug traffic industry profiteers protected by the court.

A well orchestrated smear campaign against Carty was launched, including an op ed by an anonymous “independent writer.” The campaign typifies lies and rumors spread to discredit targeted individuals in attempt to ruin their lives. It appears that a comment under one of several articles written by this author about the Carty case was written by someone who led or at least participated in this campaign against Carty. Along with his YouTube video, The Ugly Truth About Convicted Murderess Linda Carty,“Alexander Baron” commented under Dupré’s Examiner article Sun Times letter re TI Linda Carty TX execution sentence scandal:

“Anyone reading the Reprieve briefings re Linda Carty is in serious danger of being misled. Carty was convicted of murder on compelling evidence, and if the other members of the gang she recruited had been as callous as her, three people would have been left dead instead of just the one. The murder was not drug-related; Carty had intended to murder the victim and steal her baby; she would have been better off mounting an insanity defence rather than crying foul and telling a pack of lies.”

Texas District Attorneys threatened witness with death penalty if he didn’t lie

At Carty’s trial, Christopher Robinson originally stated that he saw her murder Joana Rodriguez in 2001. Robinson recently disclosed that Texan District Attorneys “threatened me and intimidated me” into identifying Linda as the culprit.

He has also admitted that he never saw Linda kill anyone, and that he lied at Linda’s original trial. He said the Texan District Attorneys “[told] me I would get the death penalty myself if Linda Carty did not get the death penalty.”

Christopher isn’t the only recanting witness. Several others have since admitted that the Texas prosecutors “blackmailed” them and as a result, they lied or omitted evidence, according to Reprieve.

Carty has continually maintained her innocence. She’s experienced the worst TI nightmare, being dangerously close to execution since the US Supreme Court refused to hear her case in 2011.

“There will be a lot more to do before we can finally secure justice for Linda,” Reprieve’s Death Penalty director Maya Foa said. “But this breakthrough gives new hope to Linda, her family, and all of us who have been fighting to save her life.”
