The 'Dark Web," a collection of hidden websites or pages created by using special encryption tools, which hide IP addresses of the servers that run them, making it so that the only way to access those particular pages and/or sites is to be using a browser which utilizes that same encryption tool. For example, sites or pages created using the Tor encryption tool can be accessed by using the Tor browser, but cannot be accessed using other browsers such as Google or Firefox or Safari.
Everything from illegal drugs, to weapons to even a "hitman network," can be found in the Dark Web, but a specific webpage went live last week which is soliciting funds to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump and Vice president-elect Mike Pence. Discovered and reported on by CSO, who reports the page consisted of a single HTML file with an image of Trump in the crosshairs of a scope and asking for donations in order to fund "Terminating both Donald Trump and Mike Pence."
A portion of the text reads "We are part of a well-known underground organization that always defended and protected the rights of all people against crooked governments and regimes using different cyber attacks, but now, we have to go further as it will require much more than cyber attack to defend ourselves to avoid civil war or another world war.
We have several assets in different branches of government, security and even some working in secret services. Unfortunately, the plan we need to implement requires a lot of money to pay for equipment, bribes and also to pay those assets. If you are like us and wish to see our plan succeed for our society's, children's and planet's sake, you can donate anonymously using the following Bitcoin address."
They follow that with a bitcoin address and beneath the image they provide a contact email address, all of which is blurred out above.
Via RT "It’s understood the Secret Service has been informed about the website’s existence."
SCAM OR LEGITIMATE THREAT?
Note- We have linked to the CSO report, and another can be found at RT, but ANP has chosen not to link directly to the Dark Web page itself as to not provide direct access in the event this is a legitimate threat to the President elect and his the VP-elect, although for those that want to verify our assertions, those links are provided by CSO.
While many would instantly assume this is a scam set up to collect money from hapless fools, it is interesting that following the links from the CSO report does verify their assertion that the Bitcoin wallet listed on the Dark Web "Terminating both Trump and pence," web page, has collected more than $88,000 since March, with only $119 of that total collected since the launch of the new page.
Following a list of donations on that Bitcoin wallet shows they have been collecting donations since July 2015, although for what services is yet to be determined, but is indicative of either someone very good at running different scam or legitimate services being render to justify further donations.
That seems indicative of people paying for some type of service they have some level of confidence in, along with multiple listings of people donating more than once.
In support of the "scam" option, as others have reported, in the source code for the Dark Web page in question, there appears to be a "message" from a hacker, claiming they have "modified the bitcoin address" to prevent funds from being donated to the "little scammer," to whom this hacker who signs his message "The kind austrian citizen, 1k4," claims to have identified.

CONSPIRACY TO MURDER
While there are points to be made as to whether this is a legitimate threat to Trump and Pence or whether this is just a scam, it does bring up another important point.
What about those that are donating?
According to Cornell Law, '18 U.S. Code § 1117 - Conspiracy to murder,' it states "If two or more persons conspire to violate section 1111, 1114, 1116, or 1119 of this title, and one or more of such persons do any overt act to effect the object of the conspiracy, each shall be punished by imprisonment for any term of years or for life."
The Dark Web can be a dangerous place, and I say that after having browsed though some of the websites and pages in the Dark Web for this article, but conspiring to murder Trump and Pence should be something investigated not just by the Secret Service but by other government agencies. Not just to identify and locate those behind this specific site, but to identify those donating to the stated cause of assassinating a President-elect and the Vice President-elect.
Throughout this election season we have seen constant threats of assassination against Donald Trump and his supporters. Since the election members of the Electoral college have been harassed, had their names and personal information published on the web and have also been receiving death threats, yet the DOJ is refusing to investigate them.
Enough is enough, it is time for our law enforcement agencies to start doing their job and going after the real criminals rather than harassing patriots, Tea Party groups, veterans, constitutionalists, preppers and survivalists.
