It is telling when the liberal mainstream media pounces on a narrative because it indicates they are trying to either get in front of a story or control the entire narrative, hammering it into the minds of their mindless followers before the truth comes out.
Another very telling thing the liberal media complex does, is to completely ignore a huge story if it doesn't fit their agenda. If they cannot control the narrative and influence an outcome, they simply pretend it isn't happening. Frankly, not being part of the "liberal" media, I am not sure if they truly delusional enough to believe that if they ignore something it isn't happening, or if they are just terrified of their audience learning about it which would strip them of even more influence than they have lost already.
Examples of this type of willful blindness can be seen in two major hot topic stories to which the media is completely ignoring right now.
LIBERAL PROGRESSIVE MEDIA IS TERRIFIED OF THE UPCOMING OIG REPORTS
For example, the upcoming DOJ Inspector General reports that are due by the end of May or early June. One which will detail the actions of former FBI director James Comey leading up to and following the 2016 President election, and the second, a more comprehensive look into the actions of the intelligence community under Obama during the election season, in regards to applications filed with the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), before and after the 2016 presidential election.
The fact is the media cannot spin those upcoming reports because there have been no "leaks," and the control of the narrative will be the Inspector General himself with his report which will be made publicly available, so the media is ignoring the whole mess in favor of screaming "Constitutional Crisis," and trying to keep the Russia collusion hoax alive in the minds of the public, despite the Mueller report finding no U.S. person, including members of the Trump campaign "conspired" with Russia to interfere in the 2016 election.
Just do a search for the term "constitutional crisis" on any search engine, for the last week, and page after page comes up, using that exact term, indicating they have coordinated on their narrative of the week.
Apparently we have found our "collusion," as the media itself seems to be "conspiring," and "coordinating" on a narrative to avoid "reporting" on the IG reports which by all accounts are expected to be devastating to the former intel officials being investigated.
One, progressives are terrified that a number of Trump's critics -- Brennan, Clapper, Comey, McCabe -- may soon be indicted. They apparently seek to preempt such indictments by attacking Barr, a seemingly no-nonsense prosecutor who will likely follow up on any criminal referrals from any inspector general that reach his desk.
See the IG, Michael Horowitz, does not prosecute, but what he does is investigate, puts out his reports which are usually lengthy and in-depth, and recommends criminal referrals to the Attorney General. That would be AG William Barr, which is why Democrats and the media have been attacking him non-stop since Mueller's report was released, which found no collusion, or the official terminology, no U.S. person "conspired" or "coordinated," with Russia.
The point here is that the liberal media knows all hell is about to break loose and there is nothing they can do to prevent the OIG's reports from becoming public knowledge once released, and those being investigated are the very people the same media has given the stage to push their Russia collusion hoax, and other lies.
How is going to look to their readers/viewers to see the IG list the wrongdoings of the very people the media has hired to misinform their followers?
MEDIA SILENT ON THE MASSIVE GROWTH OF THE #WALKAWAY CAMPAIGN
Another huge news story the media is terrified of reporting on, is the massive growth of the #WalkAway campaign. The #WalkAway campaign is a grass roots movement started by a gay hairdresser from New York, Brandon Straka, who voted for Hillary Clinton, then became so disillusioned by Democrats and the media lies he was fed, he started doing his own research, which led him to #WalkAway from the Democrat party, as he encouraged others to do the same.
Hundreds, then thousands started sharing their #WalkAway stories on social media. At first the media did report on it, just to claim that those stories were being pushed by Russian bots. Then these people fired up their cameras, showed America they were real people, not Russians, and started documenting their disillusionment with Democrats and telling their stories of why they walked away.
Hundreds of videos and testimonies started going viral, and BOOM, the media went silent on the movement.
Now, celebrities have joined, the latest of which is actor/producer Isaiah Washington, along with singer Joy Villa, as Straka and others travel the country to speak to crowds, with celebrities, gays, transgenders, blacks, women, Hispanics, all groups that usually and overwhelmingly vote Democrat, explaining why they will no longer support Democrats because they continue to try to control them and own them by telling them they are "victims."
Straka is chipping away at demographics that traditionally vote for Democrats, people prominent in their own communities. gays, transgenders, black celebrities, feminists (not the bat-crap crazy kind), along with every day ordinary Americans, all encouraging people to think for themselves, ignore the media and start doing their own research and #WalkAway from the Democrats when they learn how badly they have been lied to.
The importance of this cannot be overstated, and is the exact reason the media is refusing to report on how the #WalkAway campaign is continuing to grow and thrive.
Trump still won. So any percentage of either group, or both combined, walking away from Democrats takes those votes from the party in 2020. Some may vote third party, and some are stating they are all onboard for voting for president Trump in 2020, so either way, that is less votes for the Democrat that is selected by the party, and more for President Trump's re-election.
BOTTOM LINE
The liberal media is terrified, which is why they are grasping at the attacks against Barr, and the "constitutional crisis" narrative, as well as refusing to let go of the collusion delusion, because they know they have just a few short weeks before all eyes are on the OIG report and the focus is totally on the former intelligence officials actions during the 2016 election cycle and beyond.
Knowing all that damning information is going to reflect badly on them for ignoring the real collusion for three years, and coming at a time when the 2020 election campaign is occurring is going to be a huge blow to the media and to Democrats heading into 2020.
Top that off with the growing popularity of the #WalkAway movement, and other movements encouraging demographic groups to leave the Democrat party, like Blexit and Jexodus, and the liberal MSM's favorite candidate for president in 2020 (which will be whatever Democrat the party chooses), is already facing headwinds the MSM will not be able to run interference on for the Democrats.
The cherry on top is the tanking ratings for the MSM ever since the Mueller report dropped, and we may very well be looking at a Trump landslide in 2020, which will pretty much destroy what is left of the so-called mainstream media.
Bottom line is the media is running scared, ignoring huge stories like the upcoming OIG report, and the impressive growth and success of the #WalkAway movement, but what has their heads really ready to explode over, is that despite their every effort to destroy President Trump, in November 2020 Trump will likely win re-election.
