The Trump Phenomenon - President Trump Becomes More Popular After Second Impeachment And Liberals/RINOs/NeverTrumpers Just Can't Deal

By Susan Duclos - All News PipeLine

No longer in office. Banned by social media giants. Attacked by the liberal media for 5+ years, and still being attacked by them even while out of office.  Suffered through not one, but two, "witch hunt" impeachments by radical Democrats, and was acquitted both times in the Senate. Spent three-four years being accused of being in cahoots with Russia in the great "Russian collusion hoax." An average of 91% hostile and negative coverage by the MSM since before the 2016 presidential election.

Despite all of that and more being thrown at him, Donald Trump is still the most popular figure in the Republican party.

That right there is terrifying liberals/media and making NeverTrumpers and RINOs (Republican In Name Only) freak out with temper tantrums.

NEVERTRUMPERS/RINOS/LIBS FREAKING OUT

Detractors call him "Teflon Don," while so-called 'conservative' NeverTrumpers describe his popularity with the Republican base, no matter how much he is attacked, the "Trump Phenomenon," and the recent polling shows that despite everything, Donald Trump is still the 2024 choice for 54% of Republicans, with the next favored hypothetical candidate, Mike Pence, coming in at just 12%.

In fact, Trump's numbers are higher than all the options combined.

It is noteworthy that the poll in question, Morning Consult, is a left leaning organization, so we can assume the numbers are most likely even more favorable for Trump.

As soon as those poll results were published, the freakfest began, with known NeverTrumpers, such as Hot Air's 'AllahPundit, who is obviously pushing the liberal media narrative of Trump being responsible for the capitol protest, which turned deadly for a few people.

Bold emphasis below is mine. We will take those points highlighted below apart beneath the quote.

And of course, even without partisan media running interference for Trump, the klieg lights of an impeachment trial were destined to heat up partisan tribalism to the point where Republican voters would start moving back in Trump’s direction organically. An amazing data point from Morning Consult: Just 27 percent of Republicans now say Trump is at least somewhat responsible for the Capitol riot, down 14 points from early January despite the evidence produced at the trial all the reporting that’s been done about his actions before and during the insurrection since then. An even more amazing bit of data, though, is that 46 percent of Republicans say Joe Biden is somewhat responsible for what happened, which is *up* four points over the same period. How GOPers have concluded that Sleepy Joe is somehow culpable for an event he took no part in, I can’t begin to imagine. Either they’re hardcore election conspiracy theorists (“if he hadn’t rigged the election, there would have been no rally that day”) or it’s knee-jerk partisanship in its purest form. I.e. when a pollster asks if you blame Trump or Biden more for something bad that happened, a good Republican answers “Biden,” no matter what.

In fact, the ultimate test of how hot partisanship can get in the climate of impeachment is that Republican approval for impeaching Trump actually dropped several points during the trial. On February 1, 21 percent supported it. (A not insignificant share of the party, actually.) Two weeks later, just 17 percent did despite the evidence presented by Dems, including Jaime Herrera Beutler’s statement about what Trump allegedly told Kevin McCarthy on January 6. By comparison, support for impeachment among independents rose three points over the same period.

1.) He claims that "partisan media running interference for Trump" is why Trump's numbers rebounded so fast and so much, yet notice not a word in the whole anti-Trump biased essay, does he explain that the majority of all establishment media is liberal and they make no bones about it anymore.

So at least tens times the amount of anti-Trump stories make it to the major news outlets, yet AllahPundit there thinks the few "conservative" media outlets could overcome all of that to change peoples' minds?

2.) The 14% decrease in Republicans blaming President Trump according to Hot Air, "despite the evidence produced at the trial all the reporting that’s been done," shows an astounding tone-deafness about the increasingly biased reporting by the MSM. Apparently the majority of the Republican party has a better grasp of exactly how untrustworthy and biased the MSM truly is, than Allah there.

As to the "evidence," the House Democrats were unable to produce anything other than "Trump said," this or that, and none of those direct quotes included any call from President Trump for "violence."

3.) Once again, he speaks to evidence that doesn't exist, because as a NeverTrumper, any baseless claim must be true if it matches what their Trump Derangement Syndrome riddle brain tells them.

That is something that has been noticed and documented throughout the Trump presidency.... NeverTrumpers will side with the media, liberals, Democrats and anyone else as long as they are attacking Trump.

A look over at the website Memeorandum which aggregates which reports are discussed by other writers the most, gives us a good idea of how other liberals, NeverTrumpers and the media are reacting to Trump's rebound in polling numbers and his growing popularity despite being silenced online.

The headlines say it all:

• Republicans Love Trump Even More Now That He's Been Impeached Twice

No mention of the fact that the House impeachment was partisan sham, but the actual "trial," in the Senate, which requires 2/3 of Senators to vote guilty, acquitted Trump twice.

• The 43 Senators of the Republican Sedition Caucus Are Every Bit As Guilty as Donald Trump

Sedition caucus.... ha! HA! HAHAHAHAHA

These people are truly an unfunny joke. Oh,m and the headline is a direct lie because Trump was acquitted, therefore was not found guilty.

One of the most amusing headlines comes from the liberal Washington Post, which reads like an angry teenager.

• The Republican Party’s buck-passing caucus

From the far left Politico:

• Republicans can’t quit Trump.

I would like to point out that it was the Democrats that decided holding an impeachment trial in the Senate for a man no longer in office, which is proof that Democrats are the ones refusing to quit Trump.

Amazingly the media still hasn't learned that the more they attack him, the more popular he is reportedly becoming.

Yet they keep on keeping on. We never accused them of actually being smart.

Those are representative of badly NeverTrumpers/Liberals/Media are taking both the Trump acquittal, and the fact that Republicans would vote for Trump before any other hypothetical candidate in 2024.

All that work to destroy him in the eyes of his supporters and all for naught. No wonder they are freaking out.

(7 GOP RINOs That Joined Democrats Against Trump)

GOP TRAITORS FACE CENSURE AND ALIENATION

Interestingly enough, seven GOP RINO's, shown above, voted with Democrats against Trump in the Senate trial, and others did so in the House theatrical show, and some are suffering the fall out now for going against their constituents wishes.

In the House, Liz Cheney has been censured over her impeachment vote against Trump by the Wyoming GOP:

Wyoming Republicans argued that in voting to impeach the president, Cheney had disregarded the will of Wyoming residents, who overwhelmingly supported Trump.

"Does the voice of the people matter and if it does, does it only matter at the ballot box?" said Joey Correnti, the GOP chairman in Carbon County, according to the Associated Press

Illinois GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger's family publicly admonishes him for impeachment vote in a letter sent to him and other lawmakers.

Eleven members of his family signed a letter lambasting him for his vote last month to impeach the then-president, who they defended as a Christian.

“Oh my, what a disappointment you are to us and to God!” they wrote, accusing Kinzinger of going “against your Christian principles” and joining the “devil’s army.”

"It is now most embarrassing to us that we are related to you," they added.

His relatives also sent the letter to other conservative lawmakers.

“We should listen even more grievances against you, but decided you are not worth more of our time to list them,” the letter from his relatives continued. “You have embarrassed the Kinzinger family name!”

Senators are also being censured by their state legislatures for going against the will of their constituents, starting with NC Richard Burr, LAs Bill Cassidy, and Utah's Mitt Romney.

Burr:

In a unanimous vote Monday night, North Carolina Republican Party leaders censured U.S. Sen. Richard Burr for voting to convict former President Donald Trump over the weekend in his impeachment trial.

"The NCGOP agrees with the strong majority of Republicans in both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate that the Democrat-led attempt to impeach a former president lies outside the United States Constitution," party leadership said in a statement issued shortly before 8:30 p.m., less than half an hour after the party's central committee began its meeting on the issue.

County level parties across the state will likely reprimand Burr, one of seven Senate Republicans who voted to convict Trump, as well. The Wake County Republican Party said on its Facebook page Monday night that it did so Sunday, voting not just to censure Burr, but to ban the Winston-Salem Republican from the party's Raleigh office.

Romney was censured by a long, very long, list of GOP voters, because the "Utah Republican Party leadership has failed to issue a censure."

The censure and the list of names  can be found in this Google document

Bill Cassidy:

Louisiana Republicans aren't happy with their state's senior senator. On Saturday, the Senate voted to acquit private citizen Donald Trump on the impeachment charge of inciting the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. But seven Republican senators broke ranks and voted to convict. Within hours, the Louisiana Republican Party officially censured the state's senior senator, Bill Cassidy (R-LA), for his vote to convict the former president.

"The Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Lousiana has unanimously voted to censure Sen. Bill Cassidy for his vote cast earlier today to convict former President Donald J. Trump on the impeachment charge," the state party announced in a press release.

Pat Toomey:

Pennsylvania Republicans may censure Sen. Pat Toomey over impeachment vote

BOTTOM LINE

Politicians that have generally sided with just about anybody if they were attacking President Trump are facing serious fall out, as well as primary challengers in their next election over voting against the wishes of their state's voters, while President Trump has rebounded in support and continues to gain more support.

Liberals/RINOs/Media just cannot deal with the "Trump Phenomenon."
