CNN Botches Another 'Exclusive' Story - This Is Why No One Trusts The Liberal Establishment Media As 95 Percent Of American Adults Are 'Troubled' By The MSM
A brand new poll conducted regarding the state of the media shows that more and more Americans are awakening to the bias and lack of "ethics" within the liberal establishment media, with an overwhelming majority (67%) thinking that journalistic ethics will be even worse during the 2020 elections.
The key findings are:
• 95% are troubled by the current state of media.
• 67% believe ethics in journalism will be worse during the 2020 presidential campaign.
AMERICANS AWAKENING TO THE LIES AND DECEIT BY LIBERAL MEDIA
As the 2016 election taught us, poll numbers, in and of themselves, are worthless, as almost every polling organization got their numbers wrong, but polls are handy to see emerging trends and patterns, especially when conducted by a variety of sources.
Trust in the establishment media has been plummeting for decades, but over the course of the last three years, with the constant attacks on the Trump administration, Americans are awakening to the lies and deceit of today's "reporters" and "journalists."
In September 2018, The Knight Foundation found that trust in the media had declined more on the part of conservatives, independents and moderates, than Democrats, although more than 40 percent of both Democrats and liberals expressed declining trust in the establishment media as well.
Consistent with the trend toward declining trust, 69% of U.S. adults in the current survey say their trust in the news media has decreased in the past decade. Just 4% say their trust has increased, while 26% indicate their trust has not changed.
Republicans (94%) and political conservatives (95%) are nearly unanimous in saying their trust in the media has decreased in the past decade. However, declining trust is not just confined to the political right — 75% of independents and 66% of moderates indicate they are less trusting than they were 10 years ago.
U.S. adults on the left of the political spectrum are less likely to say they have lost trust inthe media, but at least four in 10 Democrats (42%) and liberals (46%) say they have done so. Democrats and liberals are about as likely to say their trust in the media has not changed as to say it has decreased.
Jump forward a year, and Rasmussen found that the majority of U.S. likely voters do not trust the "political news" they are getting from the MSM, saying that most reporters want to "stop Trump."
While the actual percentages may vary, depending on the polling organization, the breakdown in demographics of the respondents, and the phrasing of survey questions, the pattern is clear to see.......The media has figuratively shot themselves in the foot by refusing to separate their own political opinions from actual objective news reporting.
As a perfect example of why Americans are so distrustful of the liberal establishment media these days, CNN has once again botched a story they promoted as an "exclusive," in where they manage to get a headline right, while completely mucking up the story by inserting their liberal bias and spin.
Within the first paragraphs, they pushed their "narrative" in order to blame President Trump:
A person directly involved in the discussions said that the removal of the Russian was driven, in part, by concerns that President Donald Trump and his administration repeatedly mishandled classified intelligence and could contribute to exposing the covert source as a spy.
The decision to carry out the extraction occurred soon after a May 2017 meeting in the Oval Office in which Trump discussed highly classified intelligence with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and then-Russian Ambassador to the US Sergey Kislyak. The intelligence, concerning ISIS in Syria, had been provided by Israel.
The disclosure to the Russians by the President, though not about the Russian spy specifically, prompted intelligence officials to renew earlier discussions about the potential risk of exposure, according to the source directly involved in the matter.
The very same day, their "narrative" was debunked, by none other than New York Times and the Washington Post, when they revealed the Russian asset was endangered by the media themselves in 2016, before President Trump took office.
As American officials began to realize that Russia was trying to sabotage the 2016 presidential election, the informant became one of the C.I.A.’s most important — and highly protected — assets. But when intelligence officials revealed the severity of Russia’s election interference with unusual detail later that year, the news media picked up on details about the C.I.A.’s Kremlin sources.
C.I.A. officials worried about safety made the arduous decision in late 2016to offer to extract the source from Russia. The situation grew more tense when the informant at first refused, citing family concerns — prompting consternation at C.I.A. headquarters and sowing doubts among some American counterintelligence officials about the informant’s trustworthiness. But the C.I.A. pressed again months later after more media inquiries. This time, the informant agreed.
This is not the first time CNN has promoted a "scoop" listing it as an "exclusive," just to have it become clear within a day that they botched the whole.
Another example off the top of my head was when CNN kicked off a "humiliation orgy" of fake news when they claimed that Donald Trump Jr. was given early access to Wikileaks data, before it was published online. MSNBC and CBS jumped all over the story, one even claiming they independently verified the information, only to be exposed as fake news when the real date was revealed, which turned out to be after Wikileaks already made the information public.
Make no mistake, CNN has not been alone in pushing outright fake news regarding Russia over the past few years, after all, almost all major media outlets, whether newspapers or television pundits, pushed the Russia collusion story for three solid years, and now that the Mueller report found their was no conspiracy or coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign, nor any American citizen, we hardly hear a peep about the Russian collusion hoax.
The initial poll showing 95% of American adults are "troubled" by the establishmentment media, with 67 % believing their journalistic ethics will get worse heading into the 2020 presidential election, and it is hard to imagine that they can even get worse than what we have witnessed and documented over the past three years, directly stems from stories like CNN's latest botched exclusive "scoop."
As Sean Hannity shows below, with a number of clips, the talking heads at CNN and MSNBC jumped on the CNN "exclusive," all repeating their false claims about the reason the CIA asset was extracted from Russia, despite the fact that both the NYT and Wapo debunked it the very same day the CNN report was published.
With more people now getting their news online than at any time in history, the establishment media has only two choices in front of them. Fire the liars and hire real reporters or continue to see their numbers tank as more and more Americans, from all political parties awaken to the fact that they are being lied to every single day by pundits that are Democrat activists rather than true journalists.
