Power hungry politicians mixed with liberal tyrannical inclinations, with a dash of people that have nothing better to do than call stay-at-home violation "hotlines," is a very bad mixture and one that is turning neighbor against neighbor. Top that off with making granny feel like she is in prison, while actual prisoners are being released for fear of spreading COVID-19 coronavirus among themselves, and we have the perfect recipe for an enslaved nation.
Seriously, watching the antics of state leaders, hearing the horror stories from concerned family members of the elderly, and reading reports about arbitrary timelines and sheer idiocy going on all across the nation, is enough to make one wonder if familial and neighborly relations will ever be the same again.
One can only hope these elected state leaders that seem to forget they can be easily voted out during the next election, are held accountable and that voters do not forget the tyranny they were forced to live under and the power grabs those same state elected officials took advantage of in a time of pandemic.
Let me provide a few examples.
SNITCHES GET STITCHES
Gangs and inmates use that term, snitches get stitches as a slang term meaning those that tattle, snitch on others will get hurt.
In multiple states, including but not limited to Washington state, Illinois, New York, Los Angeles California, and more, the state governors decided to ask neighbor to report neighbor, brother to report brother, consumers to report businesses, if these people "violated" the social distancing, or no group more than (insert arbitrary number here) gatherings, or someone not obeying the stay-at-home orders.
Over in New York, Mayor de Blasio was forced to shut the hotline down because Americans can be "freakin' awesome."
Incensed members of the community gave him a dose of his own tyrannical medicine, started reporting him for his not following the rules he wants to force, fine, and even arrest people for not following, as well as sending him penis pictures and Hitler memes.
As first reported by the New York Post, screenshots started circulating of people texting vulgarities and other abuse to the “snitch line,” as it’s come to be known. The mayor was resoundingly mocked in many of the screenshots.
One texted a meme of Adolf Hitler, telling people that reporting social distancing violations was the “Reich thing.”
Others got more creative, such as the person who texted a photoshopped picture of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo with a penis-shaped protective face mask.
Another consequence of these state leaders asking neighbors to snitch on each other is that groups are doxxing the snitchers.
People are taking to their Facebook or other social media accounts and posting personal information (doxxing) about those calling to report their neighbors for violating the Nazi-loving politicians' orders to stay home or social distance or gathering together in numbers more than that particular politician has deemed to be too many.
Protesters of Washington’s stay-at-home order to slow the coronavirus rallied again Saturday at the state Capitol while some residents who reported stay-at-home violators said they’ve received threats after far-right groups posted their personal information on Facebook.
Some of the complainants who reported to the state businesses allegedly violating the order say the Facebook posts have generated threats of violence and harassment against them, The Seattle Times reported.
One group publicizing the names, the far-right Washington Three Percenters, has promoted the stay-at-home protests and one of its leaders spoke at Saturday’s demonstration. State officials said the groups likely acquired the information through public records requests.
Since that quote does mention the people doing the doxxing are "far-right" groups, let me also add that according to a hysterical poll reported on by JustTheNews.com, it appears that Democrats are far more likely to "snitch" on their neighbors than Republicans are.
Via Just The News: "There is a huge partisan difference," Rasmussen said. "By a 44% to 31% margin, a plurality of Democrats would turn in their neighbors. By a 60% to 25% margin, Republicans would not. Independents are evenly divided. Other data I’ve released shows that a plurality of Republicans now believe the worst of the pandemic is behind us. Democrats strongly disagree."
The Morning Call reports that "Snitches are emerging as enthusiastic allies as cities, states and countries work to enforce directives meant to limit person-to-person contact amid the virus pandemic that has claimed tens of thousands of lives worldwide. They're phoning police and municipal hotlines, complaining to elected officials and shaming perceived scofflaws on social media."
Other cities mentioned in that piece include Chicago, NYC, Naugatuck, Connecticut, describing how police, under the orders of their elected officials, are shutting down businesses that have more people than their arbitrary rules "allow," and disbanding funerals because too many people attended.
All one has to do is perform a search for "coronavirus hotline," to see the amount of these reports are out there... way too many for a "free" nation.
If these state leaders, and "snitches" think that once all of this is over their neighbors are simply going to forget those busybodies, they have another think coming. Those neighbors will never forget..... and they shouldn't.
If Americans cannot depend on their own neighbors to help them battle a tyrannical government, what use are they as neighbors at all?
We celebrated Mother’s Day by visiting my grandma (who was forced to stay inside the building) through a glass window. In the hot sun. With masks on. Again, I am seriously reflecting on the whole situation. I get that there should be precautions with my grandparents who are in their 80’s, but why couldn’t we do visits one at a time? Because a politician (not a doctor or the surgeon general) has made it illegal for ANYONE except certain healthcare providers to step inside a retirement home. People are going to be stone cold furious if their elderly parents get infected anyway because of the piss poor management bringing it in through employees. My grandma is in a prison right now.
Why do I say this is far worse than putting Granny in jail? Because so many liberal state leaders are trying to get convicted criminals released from prison, to allow them to walk about freely, yet these elderly patients cannot even visit with their own family members.
Nursing and retirement homes have seen an extraordinarily fast spread of COVID-19 once it is introduced to their environment, hundreds upon hundreds of elderly have reportedly already died from the virus in cities like Washington and New York, among others.
In mid-April it was reported that in Florida, family members were not even being told if a facility their elderly relative was residing in had any cases of COVID-19, not even when they ask.
When the elderly are treated worse than convicted criminals, there is a major problem that needs to be dealt with.
We understand trying to protect the elderly, but family members are entitled to the ability to check up on their elderly relatives, observe the treatment by the staff towards their family members, as well as the living conditions said relative are forced to live under.
Put them in a mask and gloves, both the visitor and the elderly relative, and LET GRANNY OUT OF JAIL!
BOTTOM LINE
The stress of a pandemic is bad enough for people, but these arbitrary rules, regulations, stay-at-home orders and tyrannical cracking down of social distancing "violators," is already at some pretty high levels, but on top of that we now neighbors snitching on neighbors, encouraged by Hitleresque and tyrannical elected state leaders, which is going to cause hard feelings against each other for years to come.
A note to those doing the snitching...... while we do not encouraging any type of offensive violence, you do deserve the doxxing you are getting if you are willing to stab your neighbor in the back.
You reap what you sow.
The last word goes to Matthew Walther over at The Week, who writes "One of the things the pandemic has shown us is that most of America's problems have been hiding in plain sight for ages. We have always known that nursing homes are dens of illness and misery, that most of what passes for public debate about health in this country is empty self-aggrandizement, that much of the official content of liberalism can be reduced to "I am so much better and more virtuous than certain uncouth others." Coronavirus did not turn people into snitches — it just gave people who always wanted an excuse to be tattletales their chance. The people who are screaming "SIX FEET! SIX FEET!" to random teenagers at the park have probably been that way since they were teenagers themselves."
