After browsing through the news this week, it would not surprise me in the least if we soon heard from the media that the sky is green and the grass is blue, because the nature of some of the news coming out these days, truly does make it seem like we are living in the Twilight Zone. (For youngsters, learn what Twilight Zone was at IMDb)
Or how about seeing that the UK has become so Islamicized that a man, Tommy Robinson, is arrested for livestreaming outside of a trial of a child grooming gang, with the claim that he was "breaching the peace." Robinsion was then carted off to jail to serve a previous 13 month sentence that had been suspended, just for reporting on the child grooming gang that has been charged with child rape, trafficking and supply of Class A drugs to children. To top it all off, reporters that were documenting the trial and arrest of Robinson have been forced to scrub the reports, saying there has been a "reporting restriction" put in place.
We have the Mockingbird Media spending countless hours with hundreds of headlines to claim that a man sent to covertly spy on members of a presidential campaign, paid by for the FBI of an administration from the opposing party, shouldn't be called a "spy." So intent to cover up and distract from the actual news, that they are busy hammering their audience with semantics over a "word," and the meaning of said word. The man that was spying wasn't a spy, the media claims, he was an "informant," or a "Confidential Human Source."
Never have I see the MSM work this hard to avoid reporting the news just to distract their audience from learning about the mass-scale misconduct on the part of the Obama administration and the actions of senior level members of intelligence agencies under him. If we weren't in the Twilight Zone this would be a story that true investigative journalists would be salivating over, rushing to interview people, turning over every rock and stone to get to the bottom of it all, but no, alas, they would rather debate the meaning of a "word."
Reminds me of a Bill Clinton quote "It depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is."
How many ever thought they would live to see the leaders of North Korea and South Korea hugging, talking, laughing and holding hands, after decades of being at war? Not only have we witnessed that historical moment, but in the course of a few weeks, we have now seen it twice. Or, despite setbacks that had people clutching their pearls and declaring WWIII was about to begin, seeing the U.S. sending a pre-advance team to Singapore to prepare for a possible U.S.- North Korea summit?
Farrakhan, answering a question on how the Trump administration has helped the black community, then said that while it wasn't the intent, the "Nature of this administration is good for us, because now, you know sometimes, you think you are where you are not, and so Trump is letting you know where you really stand, and because of Trump's way, he is an anomaly. There has never been no president quite like Mr. Trump, but there is something that he is doing, I'm gonna come out in a few weeks and talk about it, but Trump is destroying every enemy that was an enemy of our rise."
He then asked, "Who is the enemy of our rise? Is it the Department of Justice where we get none? Is it Congress where you make a law that favors us and then you turn around and destroy it? Is it the media that has destroyed every black leader that stood up for us? Calling us out of our name, Martin Luther King suffered it, Malcom suffered it, Dubois suffered it, Marcus Garvey suffered it, so he's attacking the media, calling them fake news, well I don't think everything is fake but I know, I know very well that we have been the victims of some fake news. He is beating up the FBI." Farrakhan then started clapping his hands, saying "Go at it baby, because they been beating the hell out of us."
While Farrakhan is still not a fan of President Trump's foreign policy, what he has just done is like what Kanye West did when he caused an uproar on the internet for praising President Trump to his tens of million of followers. Farrakhan has just exposed his followers, most who probably have never uttered or been prepared to listen to, one word of praise for President Trump, to the truth of what the Trump administration has done for the black community.
This isn't about a person or his beliefs, which are categorically opposed to the majority of conservatives, and many would say was anti-American, but it is about waking up a whole segment of society to the good that has occurred for them under this administration, such as the lowest black unemployment in history, good that the media never tells them about.
So while I have never quoted Farrakhan before and most likely won't again, like Kanye he has just exposed millions to some hard truths.
Next thing we know, he'll be wearing a Make America Great Again hat, like the the vocal former NeverTrumper, Glenn Beck, who all of a sudden is praising the president, wearing the MAGA cap, and shredding the media for their lies.
Welcome to the Twilight Zone.
NOTE TO READERS: With digital media revenue spiraling downward, especially hitting those in Independent Media, where attacks from every direction continue to come unabated, it has become apparent that traditional advertising simply isn't going to fully cover the costs and expenses for many smaller independent websites.
