Complete Societal Breakdown On The Horizon As We're Given Dire Warnings Of A 'Winter of Discontent' And Told There Will Be 'People On The Street' From Director Of IMF
When we see references to "global" issues such as inflation, food shortages, and energy costs just to name a few, and we are warned that we will see "people on the street" globally as society breaks down if inflation continues at its present rate, they are not just talking about "other" countries, but America is included in these dire warnings.
There will be “people on the street” globally unless steps are taken to protect the most vulnerable from inflation, International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) chief Kristalina Georgieva warned on Wednesday.
“It is important to think that this compounded impact of multiple crises is already testing the patience and resilience of people. And if you don’t take action to support the most vulnerable, there would be consequences,” she told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour.
While I have never been a fan of the UN, that is no justification to ignore their warnings, especially when it will affect the lives of Americans.
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres gave a grim assessment of global developments on Tuesday, September 20th. Guterres said that we are looking at a fairly gloomy and dark upcoming “winter of global discontent” from rising prices, a warming planet, and deadly conflicts.
“Our world is in peril,” Guterres told the opening of the United Nation’s 193-member annual assembly in New York. “A winter of global discontent is on the horizon,” Guterres said according to a report by Euractiv.
Aside from the screeching about "climate change," the warnings are worth mentioning because inflation is real, energy costs are skyrocketing and people, even many right here in America, cannot feed their families.
It is also noteworthy that the food banks, meant to help those having a hard time feeding their families continue to see a rise in the number of families in need.
In 2022 compared with 2021, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, prices for the aggregate category of fruits and vegetables are now predicted to increase between 7% and 8%, processed fruits and vegetables prices between 9.5% and 10.5%, sugar and sweets prices between 8.5% and 9.5%, nonalcoholic beverage prices between 8.% and 9.5%, and other foods prices between 12.5% and 13.5%.
That means electric bills will spike this winter unless Americans do what they can to offset the increase in other ways, which we will discuss a little lower in this article.
The national news are busy trying to explain their version (which seems to always be spun to protect the Biden regime and their policies) of "why" food and energy costs are skyrocketing, when in reality a mother or father trying to feed their hungry children care far less about the "why" than they do about "how" to continue to survive.
Especially since there doesn't appear to be an end in sight, and experts are predicting things will get much worse.

WINTER OF DISCONTENT...
While we usually start with food, water and basic necessities in our prepping pieces because one cannot survive without food, one also cannot survive an icy cold winter (for those in cold climate states) without heat and/or the ability to stay warm.
The question this winter will be how to afford to keep warm without going broke and still being able to put food on the table.
If your home has central heat, one system that heats the entire home, even unused rooms, it can get quite expensive in the winter months just to keep warm, but with a little creativity, you can have the same level of warmth, or more, by using space heaters, wood stoves, and even some DIY (Do It Yourself) methods to warm a room or a home.
Using Stefan and myself as an example, we use gas for heat, yet the cost of heating three floors and the rooms on each floor is astronomical, and that was before the massive inflation, the war between Russia and Ukraine, and Biden killing America's energy independence.
Our office space is easy, we have a fireplace and it keeps the entire floor warm. The top two floors though must be kept warm, so we use space heaters, one per floor. The cost of electric using both of them is less than a quarter of the amount than if we use the central gas heat.
If we can cut heating costs by three-quarters, anyone can.
And should the grid go down like it did in Texas during that February of 2021 storm, each one of the items listed below could have saved lives had people down there been prepared ahead of time.
With grocery prices up 13.5% over the past 12 months and gas prices above $3.39 a gallon, Harriger has had to make cuts. He’s down to two meals a day instead of three – typically a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch and trout for dinner if a friend had a good day fishing.
He filed for bankruptcy two months ago, which made his cost of living more manageable. Basic monthly expenses like groceries and electricity now cost him about $1,500 instead of $2,400, but he still worries.
“You’re sitting there, wondering whether you’re going to have (enough) at the end of the month to pay your bills and whether you’re going to get food to feed your family,” Harriger told USA TODAY. “It puts you in a distressed state.”
The stories told are heartbreaking, where many of our nation's seniors cannot afford to three meals a day.
While energy is the top category for inflation, food comes in second with some very disturbing numbers. More so when considering that food inflation is still rising.
The average price of food in the United States soared 11.4% in the 12 months ended August, the most since May 1979 and after rising 10.9% previously, according to the latest inflation data published Sept. 13, 2022, by the U.S. Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
The MSM describes overall inflation as 8.3% but that is "all items," which include products that are not basic necessities like food and water.
Both energy and food increased by double digits. Energy saw 23.8% inflation, while food saw an inflationary increase of 11.4%,
Some of the foods that the BLS surveys every month for inflation include meats, poultry, fish, eggs, cereal, bakery products, dairy, beverages, and various fruits and vegetables. The following chart shows how prices for some these items have increased in the 12 months through August 2022.
Since the month of September is not over yet, there are no final totals on inflation from the U.S. Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics for September, of course.
So, the obligatory food links for those that need to stock up, replace, top off or even increase their stocks for the "winter of discontent" ahead.
The media is massively downplaying true inflation, ignoring the fact that every single time a consumer goes to the grocery store they feel it.
Make no mistake, they are doing this to protect Democrats from the abject failure of Biden's policies.
Americans are starving, and this winter many will be freezing as more than 20 millions U.S. households are behind on their utility payments with a "tsunami of shutoffs" coming, yet Biden is sending tens of billions of dollars to Ukraine, rather than using that money to help Americans survive.
When people cannot feed their families, we face a complete societal breakdown.
