Despite the gaslighting of the Biden regime and their media supporters, the price of food is not, and will not be coming down.....at all. While August's numbers on inflation and food inflation won't be released until September 13, we do know that July's overall inflation rate rose, and that food inflation has remained far higher than overall inflation for more than two years.
In some cases food rose more than double of overall inflation.
On top of that we now see due to circumstances right here in America, we once again have multiple "looming grocery shortages," which will raise the prices of those consumables even more than the price spikes we have seen over the past couple of years,
The economy is in the dump and no matter how many times the media, or Joe Biden op-eds, tells us how great we are doing, Americans are going to judge that for themselves by what they see in their wallets, their bank accounts, and what the bill is every time they shop for food, appliances, cars, homes or anything else they may need to purchase.
Many Americans have been waiting for prices to lower, but even if inflation came it at zero (which isn't even their goal, 2% is), prices will not come down, they just wouldn't rise for that month. The only way to lower prices is to see negative inflation, which simply isn't going to happen.
Those who do not "prep" for survival, stocking up on basics and necessitates, and even a few that do, have preferred to wait until thigs got "better" instead of accepting that prices have risen far more than wages, and part of survival now should be learning to live in a lot of ways, as our ancestors did.
Before getting into that, let us take a look at some of the food and economy news.
ANP Emergency Fundraiser: The globalists war on ANP is all part of the globalists 'Big Tech' effort to silence conservative and independent voices, allowing them to maintain a monopoly on the flow of information. As George Orwell made clear to us decades ago, "The further a society drifts from the truth, the more they will hate those who speak it." But, with your amazing help, we at ANP promise to keep 'speaking truth to power' because, as Orwell also reminded us, "If liberty means anything at all it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear."
BIDENOMICS IS FAILING...
The number of Americans living paycheck to paycheck came in at 61% according to the latest polls. That 61% is an average between those making less than $50,000, those making $50,000 to $100,000 and those making more than $100,000 annually.
Now, 78% of consumers earning less than $50,000 a year and 65% of those earning between $50,000 and $100,000 were living paycheck to paycheck in July, both up from a year ago, LendingClub found. Of those earning $100,000 or more, only 44% reported living paycheck to paycheck.
Setting aside those that make more than $100,000, out of those making less than that, the number living paycheck to paycheck comes in at a little more than 71%.
More disturbing news about how "well" Bideonomics is doing, shows that less than half of Americans, 45%, have an emergency fund, with 26% of those having less than $5,000 saved.
Cereals and bakery products are still seeing more than double the inflation as "overall" inflation. Overall came in at 3.2 (the goal is 2%, which we haven't seen since before 2021).
"Other food at home," which includes boxed and canned foods, and foods not covered by specific categories, rose at 5.4% in July, and we'll know more about the number for August in about nine days.
According to the 'Eat This, Not That' website, we have five looming shortages, or to be more accurate, five foods and groups of foods that will be seeing more shortages and price hikes.
Those products are rice, chocolate, pasta, flour and salmon.
The salmon we cannot do much about, but there are a few Amazon items that can help, but the others, we can finally accept the shortages and/or price hikes are staying and start taking steps to mitigate those issues.
For example chocolate, for those that do not want to use the longer process using cocoa beans, can be made by using cocoa powder, sugar, butter and milk.
All you need other than the ingredients is a double broiler, a mold or ice cube tray and voila, homemade, rich, delicious chocolate.
The flour will help with the outrageous and continuous rise in the costs of bread, pies, muffins, cakes, and any other bakery products, in fact, practically anything made with flour.
I know many have been putting it off because of the extra work involved, but frankly, getting your own wheat berries, (which there is a shortage of due to droughts and other weather related events here in America), and a grain mill, along with whatever grains you want for flour other than white, and you can save yourself quite a bit of money, and it takes far less time than what most people think.
Make no mistake, the price of bakery products, including breads, will not go down. It will only continue to rise and even if the Biden regime managed to bring food inflation, especially for the cereals and bakery products, down to overall inflation rates, the prices we see now are not going away.
The benefits of making your own cannot be overestimated. Breads and all other bakery products, are fresher, with no preservatives. The pastas taste so much better than store bought it is almost unbelievable that they are the same products.
I say this from personal experience because I now make my own bread and the one time I had to go back to store bought bread for a week (due to injuring myself ), I hated it.
Even sugar has seen an annual change of more than 28% in 2023, according to a 37 year historical chart, meaning all foods made with sugar will continue to get more expensive.
Many Americans, including some preppers, continue to think food prices are going to go down, but without negative food inflation, that is not going to happen.
Since 2021 we have seen a 20% increase in food costs (scroll down at this link to verify), yet the majority of Americans, or the 99% so to speak, have not seen a 20% income increase.
For some American families this has already reached crisis levels. The rising food costs here in America are unsustainable as even 44% of those with incomes at $100,000 a year are still living paycheck to paycheck.
We, as a nation, have to stop thinking the prices of food and almost all other items, will go down. Prices may stop rising as much, but they will not be going down.
We have to take some lessons from our ancestors, and start making the things we can, from scratch. It is better for us, costs less in the long run, and can teach us to survive when the economy completely collapses.

Stories later proven to be truthful and light years ahead of the mainstream media. But because we reported those 'inconvenient truths' they're still trying to hide, they pulled their ads from ANP.
