On July 31, 2026, President Trump made an announcement on the Freedom Haulers Initiative that came from EO 14286 Enforcing Commonsense Rules of the Road for America's Truck Drivers (discussed in my April 29, 2025 ANP Article). Currently 1 in 10 veterans are driving US heavy trucks today. President Trump and his Administration would like to see that number increase to 2 in 10 or even 3 in 10 or more. President Trump specifically thanked UPS, FedEx, and Werner Trucking as well as the National Commander of AmVets, Paul Shipley; Chief Operating Officer of the Independence Fund, Doug Ackerman; and the great patriots from the Wounded Warrior Project, American Legion, Blue Star Families, Gary Sinise Foundation, Vietnam Veterans of America, and Paralyzed Veterans of America for their participation and assistance in the Freedom Haulers Initiative.
Under directive from President Trump the Trump Administration is working to end the state practice of issuing CDLs (Commercial Driver's Licenses) to unqualified aliens who do not speak our language and cannot read our road signs. These unqualified aliens drive recklessly causing many, preventable, deaths by doing such things as making unlawful U-turns in the middle of interstate highways, running over people, and generally causing havoc on US roadways. Unqualified aliens have caused 30 deaths last year with many more individuals seriously injured. So far, 24,000 non-English speakers have been removed from behind the wheel and more than 28,000 CDL's were canceled.
Data shows that Veterans currently driving big rigs have 42% fewer accidents while they tend to drive double the number of miles as non-Veteran drivers. Veterans driving big rigs have been proven to make our roads safer.
But, it is not enough to simply take these unsafe drivers off the road. With 75% of our supply chain depending upon the people who drive heavy trucks, removing unqualified drivers from the road leaves a huge need for qualified drivers. The proposed solution is to replace these unqualified drivers with American Veterans under the Freedom Haulers Initiative. Any [honorably discharged] Veteran who drove a heavy truck during their military service (for at least 2 years) is now automatically eligible (if it has been less than 2 years since they were discharged) for a CDL. They will be able to skip redundant road tests. For those [honorably discharged] Veterans who want to drive big rigs but did not do so as part of their military experience, they will be able to enter a special licensing program of 3-4 weeks.
So far, 34 states have joined the Freedom Haulers Initiative with Indiana, Wyoming, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, and Maryland joining on July 31, 2026. Some of those states who have yet to join the initiative are just now finding out about its existence. President Trump hopes all 50 states and Washington DC will become members and support US Veterans.
Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, states that big rig drivers can make from $70k to $100k per year to start. And foreign drivers are out while Veterans are in for the Trump Administration and this is just one way they are assisting Veterans while allowing for the supply chain we all depend upon to run smoothly.
Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Doug Collins, reiterated that the GI Bill will pay 100% of your training and you can use that funding to pay for the CDL. In addition, the DOLE Act allows for the shortening of the process from 2 years to a few weeks.
This bill addresses various programs, benefits, and services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), including those related to health care, educational assistance, home loans, homelessness, and disability and memorial affairs. Among other elements, the bill
modifies the administration of the Veterans Community Care Program, including by providing protections for care agreements between veterans and clinicians;
increases the expenditure cap for non-institutional care alternatives to nursing home care;
provides certain support to family caregivers under the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers;
modifies the administration of certain educational assistance programs and benefits, including by removing the expiration on a surviving spouse’s entitlement under the Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship;
expands the Native American Direct Loan program by allowing Native American veterans to refinance other existing mortgage loans on the same property if certain conditions are met;
requires the VA to provide a burial and funeral allowance for certain veterans who die prior to October 1, 2026, in a home or other setting at which the veteran was receiving VA hospice care (if such care was directly preceded by VA hospital or nursing home care);
temporarily increases the maximum rate of per diem payments provided by the VA to entities that furnish services and transitional housing to homeless veterans;
authorizes a program to modernize the electronic health record and other relevant health information technology systems of the VA; and
addresses various oversight and reporting matters.
Using the DOLE Act, the VA will waive the 2 years CDL requires for Veterans with service-connected disabilities. The VA is ready to go with a training program, they just need Veterans to apply. Secretary Collins says that Veterans will drive us into the future.
President of Werner Enterprises, Nathan Meisgeier, states that Werner Enterprises is one of the largest, safest, and most successful transportation companies. This year, Werner Enterprises celebrates 70 years in keeping the American economy moving. He points out that 75% of all freight in America moves by truck. Currently 15% of the 14,000 associates nationwide are either Veterans or military spouses. Today, they announce a new strategic initiative: hire 1,400 Veterans over the coming year. At Werner Enterprises, Veterans can move up the ranks swiftly into roles such as driver leaders, premier road team captains, mentoring the next generation of drivers, and representing the absolute best of American trucking (i.e., Werner Enterprises).
Army & Army National Guard Veteran who served 30 years, Ricky Washington, says he asked himself how do I continue to serve once his service ended. His answer, being on the open road behind the wheel of a commercial truck. He reiterates that Veterans make exceptional truck drivers because they have the core values of the military aligned seamlessly with the trucking industry. Discipline, vigilance, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to getting the job done and on time are all skills and values taught in Military Service. The trucking industry is the backbone of our commerce where Veterans, spouses, and service members can find a purpose, community, and way to continue keeping our great nation moving forward.
President Trump concluded the announcement thanking everyone there for their participation in the Freedom Haulers Initiative. He also mentioned to Nathan Meisgeier that Nathan's competitors will be doing the same thing (hiring Veterans) and that it will be fantastic for the Veterans looking to be hired.

Section 1 - Policy and General Findings - states that recoverable critical minerals and materials (CMMs) are necessary to national defense; the US national defense is currently at risk due to reliance on imports of certain CMMs; and to counteract this risk, the US must secure the supply of CMMs.
Section 2 - Definitions - defines the terms recoverable critical minerals and materials and critical minerals and materials.
Section 3 - Ensuring an adequate Supply of Recoverable CMMs - this Action declares that CMMs are scarce and critical to US national defense and a significant dislocation of the supply chain could disrupt these CMMs. This Action authorizes the Secretary of Commerce to take action to implement this Action.

QSP from Australia, Canada, CAFTA-DR countries, CBERA countries & territories, Columbia, Republic of Korea, Israel, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Singapore are exempt from this proclamation (except as otherwise addressed in this Proclamation).

It's been a while since we last saw any border facility permits for maintenance, upgrades, repairs, etc. I'm glad to see that these border crossings are finally receiving the care they need to remain operational.
On July 30, 2026, Secretary Marco Rubio announced that another 250,000 America 250 historic passports available in a variety of states (see the list of available places to apply here). You MUST make an appointment to appear in person in order to receive one of these passports and they recommend you use the online form to fill out then print to take with you.
On July 31, 2026, the White House published the release President Trump Hosts Historic Cabinet Meeting at Camp David live. The Cabinet session covered the rapid progress in restoring US strength, security, prosperity, and common sense. president Trump opened the meeting with highlights of some of the achievements his administration has achieved for US families.
VP Vance followed with a brief report on the Fraud Committee's achievements by locating $230B in fraud of which only $56B has currently been halted.
Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, provided steps to restore US leadership and sovereignty abroad. He announced that the International Criminal Court (ICC) is seen by the Trump Administration as being an illegitimate organization because the ICC is going after those who are NOT part of the ICC. He pointed out our service members could be held accountable by the ICC for following legal orders such that these service members and their families would not be able to travel outside the US for fear of being kidnapped by this court.
Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, detailed what the DoW is doing to rebuild a lethal, merit-based military, starting with the complete dismantling of DEI which is bringing about record recruitment numbers where they are breaking recruitment records every month. Defense companies have made private investments ($75B so far) in new plants, equipment, and assembly lines to provide the munitions our military requires.
Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent, gave examples of how the Trump Administration has successfully delivered an economic agenda for Americans, from the Working Families Tax Cuts to increased manufacturing hiring needs.
Secretary of Health & Human Services, Robert F Kennedy Jr, spoke of the TrumpRx program that has provided over $700M in savings on over 800 pharmaceuticals. He also announced that Amazon and GoodRx have made deals to include these savings in their offerings.
While diplomacy and peacebuilding are important to this effort, they are surpassed by our collective ability to place children above international disputes. Every reunion is a reminder that compassion, dignity, and family can transcend even the darkest of times: war. My representative and I continue working with the governments of Russia and Ukraine to safely return children to their families and communities.
Melania Trump's leadership on this issue has crossed political lines in order to place the well-being of children above the conflicts of governments. And those warring governments are cooperating.

Of course, there will be delays, as the Senate has proven that although the GOP has the slight majority in the Senate; they are too busy infighting to do anything to promote anything President Trump, or We The People for that matter, want done - even though it is their JOB to do so.
The HOUSE convened July 30, 2026 at 8:30am and adjourned at 8:32am for a pro forma session. They held NO votes. The HOUSE will reconvene August 3, 2026 at 4pm for another pro forma session.
BOTH houses of Congress need to recognize that the mid-terms are not that far away. And, the more they refuse to do the Will of We The People, the worse their chances are of re-election come November. If they think that not putting the SAVE America Act into law is going to help them win the election in November, they are sorely mistaken. And that goes for Democrats and Independents who are NOT DSA (Democratic Socialists of America, i.e., communists) as well. They, too, need to be concerned since the 80/20 issue of Election Integrity crosses party lines. The House should be putting pressure on the Senate to pass this much needed AND WANTED legislation!
Articles of IMPEACHMENT are being filed in less than 48 hours against Leftist pro-Somali Judge Allison Burroughs by Rep. Andy Ogles. This comes after she DISOBEYED the Supreme Court by blocking President Trump from ending Temporary Protected Status for Somalis. OGLES: “On Monday I will file Articles of Impeachment against Judge Allison Burroughs for her unconstitutional act of Judicial Activism!!! Enough is enough, Americans First NOT 3rd world migrants.”
Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) wins $5.2M from socialist professor David Greenberg's retirement account by successfully claiming they are the "successor organization" to the now defunct New American Movement mentioned in Greenberg's will. I'm pretty sure they do not plan to give (or even share) that money with the almost bankrupt DNA of which they are supposed to be a part (rather, they are taking the name & members and leaving the debt behind).
The investigation into Michigan began on October 27, 2020 when the FBI was briefed; however, a case was not opened until February 11, 2021 but voter fraud was not authorized at this time. On April 1, 2021, election and law enforcement started to gather information on voter fraud. On September 13, 2023, the FBI Laboratory conducted voter registration application examinations. Interviews of canvassers were begun on September 27, 2023. On January 8, 2024, the FBI Laboratory was asked to update the status of the examination of the voter registration applications submitted to them on September 13, 2023. By February 12, 2024 they were still waiting for the FBI Laboratory examination results. On March 11, 2024 it was predicted that this case would not lead to prosecution. On March 20, 2024 the FBI Laboratory stated they had finally completed the handwriting analysis but the "indented writing exams" were still being evaluated; however, the lab could issue 2 separate reports. On March 21, 2024, indicated that the handwriting report would be beneficial; however, a final determination could not occur until both evaluations were complete. On May 15, 2024, the second report was completed and the recipient requested a charging decision from superiors based on the evaluations. On July 17, 2024, a group of agency representatives, including PCU Section Chief Devin Kowalski decided there would be no prosecutions in this case. On August 1, 2024, the case was no longer being actively investigated but there were FOIA requests. On October 8, 2024, prosecution of this case was being reconsidered. On October 25, 2024, an attorney wanted to review files from the investigation. This was the last of the actions recorded in the timeline.

A certified nursing assistant (CNA) and medical transportation driver worked as an office clerk from August 2020 to around October 2020. This Canvasser was responsible for redacting voter forms (individual's name, date of birth, address, and phone numbers - the forms did not include SSN) received from canvassers who were going door-to-door registering people in the local area to vote. The Canvasser was only supposed to process forms that were filled out correctly. The witness said canvassers were paid $10 per hour with a $50 bonus for collecting X amount of registration forms (the Canvasser did not remember how many they had to produce). The Canvasser mentioned the canvassers were not people the Canvasser would hire because they appeared to be off the street. The Canvasser stated it was unknown if false applications were submitted but that the Canvasser did not submit false application. However, the Canvasser did say it looked like the company was actively trying to suppress or prevent people from voting for President Trump.
The Canvasser heard about a job in 2020 where one would work 4 hours going into office buildings soliciting voter registrations as well as waiting outside gas stations. The Canvasser turned in the registrations and saw them placed into an envelope. The Canvasser received no incentives for submitting registrations. The Canvasser recalled that in another office employees were instructed to make up phone numbers and dates of birth on the applications (but was not instructed to do so personally).
The Canvasser was hired in 2020 to sign people up to vote and received a T-shirt to wear during the job. The Canvasser specifically collected applications from those people who would vote for Obama. The Canvasser was paid via gift card based on how many applications were gathered. The Canvasser was expected to submit 2-3 applications per shift and was not offered bonuses. There were also no incentives or opportunities to work in other cities or states. The Canvasser said no gifts were given to the people completing the applications; however most of the employees submitted voter registrations with false information because it was easy money. The Canvasser was instructed to not make up information to complete the forms. The Canvasser heard about other people submitting falsified forms.
The Canvasser worked as a canvasser registering people to vote in 2020. The Canvasser's assigned area was outside Walmart. The Canvasser returned registrations at the end of each shift and earned $400 bi-weekly via direct deposit or prepaid debit card. There were no incentives or bonuses for the number of applications. The Canvasser knew of other canvassers who would trade something (drugs, money) for applications. The Canvasser said others were probably submitting applications with false information. The Canvasser met a person during canvassing who later became a lover stating that the person likely filled out fictitious information on the application but that person is now in prison on an unrelated issue. Agents showed the Canvasser 2 canvassing contracts and the Canvasser confirmed the writing and signature for both contracts.
The Canvasser initially could not recall working for a specific company until the agent specified the location. Then the Canvasser recalled that in 2020 an application was made to work as a canvasser collecting signatures for voter registration being paid based on how many signatures were collected with a minimum quota for the day. The Canvasser was not paid for hours worked if no signatures were obtained. The Canvasser said many people faked signatures including the Canvasser who admitted to forging application signatures on some of the forms submitted. [Remember the canvassers were NOT paid if they did not submit signed applications at this business.]
The Canvasser was hired to stand outside businesses soliciting voter registrations. The Canvasser said there were over 100 people doing the same thing in the area. The Canvasser was paid based on how many voter registrations they submitted at the end of the day. The Canvasser stated that 7-8 applications were required per shift if working alone and 10 if working with another person. The Canvasser said debit cards were issued to each employee and their pay would be loaded on the card each week. The Canvasser was told the company was huge and had operations in other states and those who turned in the most voter registrations had opportunities to travel to other states to work. During the interview, the Canvasser first stated that every voter was a true person. Once confronted with evidence, the Canvasser changed the story to stating that canvassers were told to fill in the voter applications themselves if they could not meet their quota. Over 100 canvassers were present at the meeting and when the meeting leader was asked what was meant, the leader filled in false information on a blank form, showed it to the group, and stated this is what I mean. The Canvasser also was told to make up SSN or DOB and make up names and confirmed that at the end of each shift the Canvasser would collect blank forms and fill them out and sign them with the fake name to meet the required quota for pay. Sometimes others in the office would help fill them in and then sign them. The Canvasser was told the forms would be sent to the main office where they would be shredded so it did not matter if the information on them was made up. The Canvasser was just trying to make money and did not know if others Canvasser just there to make money or if the others were actively trying to influence the election. The Witness worked at the organization for almost a month. The Canvasser estimated submitting 100 fake voter registrations knowing it was fraud but needed the money.
Agents interviewed a Canvasser who worked in 2020 making $700-$800 per week. This Canvasser was driven to different locations to collect voter registrations. The Canvasser said some people filled out the voter registration form on multiple times different days. There was no shift/day quota but those who submitted more registrations were promoted to driver or supervisor. The company also had people who would go door-to-door hanging fliers requesting the recipients vote for Biden. The Canvasser quit shortly after finding this out.
Agents interviewed a Canvasser who worked M-F 8am to noon after submitting a W2, employment documents, and providing a drivers license. Pay was based on the amount of hours worked and payment was given via a Visa gift card. The Canvasser admitted no IRS taxes were filed for this income. The Canvasser was dropped off in front of various stores and had a goal for how many forms were to be completed by the end of each shift. The Canvasser noticed that the younger Canvassers would return with a lot of signed registrations and remembered thinking that those registrations must be forged. Canvassers were told that their Secretary of State had cleared what the business was having employees do. Canvasser was not told there were incentives for producing more registration forms.
A Canvasser who at first did not remember working for a company as a Canvasser who called the investigator later admitting to having worked for about 1 week in 2020 as a Canvasser. He was told he could make up names and get paid. The Canvasser quit having never collected any actual registrations. The Canvasser said during the time assigned the Canvasser would sit in a car and put down the name of a friend or relative on the voter registration form turned in at the end of the shift.

On July 30, 2026, the White House published the release The White House Government Transparency Task Force Fact Sheet reports the following 5 facts from the intelligence community. These facts were approved to be released by Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the National Security Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the Department of Homeland Security.
The People’s Republic of China (China) and their proxies bought, stole, or hacked as many as 220 million Americans’ voter registration data. China’s collection included non-publicly available data.
The declassified documents provide the official definition used by the Intelligence Community for “election interference.” That definition includes a foreign power’s targeting of voter registration infrastructure or data. The definition from the documents is: “Election influence includes overt and covert influence activities of foreign governments or actors serving as agents of, or on behalf of, foreign governments intended to affect directly or indirectly a US election- including candidates, political parties, voters or their preferences, or political processes. Election interference is a subset of election influence targeted at the technical aspects of the election, including voter registration, casting and counting of ballots, and reporting of results.”
The Intelligence Community in 2022 flagged a Chinese Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) actor as having acquired voter registration data stored on commercial websites. CNE actors typically use cyber activities to illicitly obtain data that is not publicly available.
The Intelligence Community documents describe the potential malign activities a foreign power can activate once it possesses American voter registration data. Here is a verbatim quote from the documents: “Adversaries could alter data to potentially prevent individual voters or groups of voters from voting, causing delays on election day or forcing voters to use provisional ballots. Adversaries could also use the registration data which in some cases is also available publicly or for purchase – to tailor other interference or influence efforts.”
In preparing President Trump’s July 16, 2026 speech on China’s election interference, the White House coordinated with representatives from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Homeland Security, the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The Intelligence Agencies approved the factual statements from their documents used in the President’s speech.
It appears this Fact Sheet is supposed to counteract charges that President Trump was just making up everything in his July 16, 2026 speech on China's election interreference intended to counteract CBS Mornings, MSNow, King 5 Seattle, Fox 26 Houston, and others. Of course, the propaganda media revels in "fact checking" everything President Trump says. And yet, the evidence is still coming out and much of it is current, like New Jersey finding 400 illegal aliens voted in the 2024 election.
Jury duty notices are sent from the drivers license database and that same drivers license database is used to register people to vote. So, 75,000 noncitizens in NJ were called for jury duty yet the Governor of New Jersey tells there are only around 6,500 illegal aliens on their voter rolls.
This makes me wonder about the rest of the states and their use of drivers licenses for jury duty and voter registration. I know Nevada recently started automatically signing up anyone who gets a drivers license to vote (even though I and everyone I know voted against the measure - twice).
I think we need to change the language to get to the bottom of things. These people are NONCITIZENS whether they are in our country legally or illegally. ONLY US Citizens should be voting in US elections! ALL forms of US ID need to include whether the person is a US Citizen or not!
In my January 8, 2026 ANP Article, I discussed the newly revised US Nutrition Policy that inverted the food pyramid and emphasized eating Protein, Dairy, and Healthy Fats (on the left of the inverted pyramid) in basically equal amounts to Vegetables & Fruits (on the right of the inverted pyramid) with a drastic reduction of Whole Grains (at the bottom point of the inverted pyramid).
The Protein, Dairy, & Healthy Fats intake should be 1.2 to 1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day.
Vegetables & Fruits intake should be 3 servings of Vegetables and 2 servings of Fruit per day.
Whole Grains intake should be 2-4 servings per day.

How many servings of each per day do I need? Well, it depends on how many calories you need. The Mayo Clinic offers an online Calorie Calculator which begins by asking your age, height, weight, and sex. It then asks for your 'usual' activity level: inactive, somewhat active, active, or very active. It will then calculate your daily calorie needs (rounded to the nearest 50 calories). At this time, it will also show you your calorie needs if you change your activity level. Know that the average US male is 5'9" and weights 199 lbs while the average US female is 5'4" and weighs between 170 and 180 lbs (I will use 175 lbs in my calculations).
So, now we know both what is a serving for each category and how many calories you need based on your age, height, weight, sex, and activity level. How do you determine how many of which things you need to eat each day. Here's a chart that shows servings per calorie level (click on the image to enlarge it):
Using age 45 for both sexes and a 'somewhat active' activity level, the calorie calculator says the average man should ingest 2500 calories while the average female should ingest 1650 calories per day.
But neither of these calorie levels are on the table! At this point we would extrapolate:
For 2400 calories you would need 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 protein servings and it's the same for 2600 calories, so no adjustment in protein servings needs to be made. Dairy is 3 for both calorie levels, so no change in dairy. Vegetables need an adjustment between 3 1/2 and 4 1/4 which I would call 3 3/4 servings. There is no change in fruit as it is 2 servings for both calorie levels. For whole grains the 2400 calorie level calls for 2 3/4 to 5 1/4 servings and the 2600 level calls for 3 to 6 servings, so I would say between 3 and 5 servings of whole grains. Finally healthy fats is 5 for the 2400 calorie level and 5 1/2 for the 2600 calorie level, so I would say 5 1/4 servings.
This creates a serving portion intake for the average male's need of 2500 calories per day resulting in serving sizes of about:
Protein 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 servings
Dairy 3 servings
Vegetables 3 3/4 servings
Fruit 2 servings
Whole Grains 3 to 6 servings
Healthy Fats 5 1/4 servings
Going through the same process for the average female's need of 1650 calories per day resulting in serving sizes of about:
Protein 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 servings
Dairy 3 servings
Vegetables 2 1/2 to 3 servings
Fruit 1 1/2 servings
Whole Grains 2 to 3 1/4 servings
Healthy Fats 3 3/4 servings

Well, Secretary of HHS, Robert F Kennedy Jr just started a new video series called Cooking REAL FOOD at Affordable Prices with the goal of showing how you can cook with real food in a way that is healthy, delicious, and affordable. In the first episode (see the video below), Chef Andrew Gruel will prepare Salmon Cakes with Apple and White Bean & Greens Salad. The website provides links to the recipes shown in the video. While the ingredients list show each dish separately, the directions are written to prepare both dishes simultaneously.
