Increasing Attacks On U.S. Farmers Are Really Attacks On Every American - Imagine Being Dependent On The Government For Every Scrap Of Food On Your Plate
Aside from more than a hundred food processing/manufacturing plants/chicken farms being destroyed over the past few years, and the millions of chickens and egg laying hens being destroyed due to avian flu, another more insidious war has been happening against small farmers.
We have reported reported on the government attacks against an Amish farmer, who was fined $300,000 for their traditional selling of raw milk and meat, after the feds raided his farm. A court sided with the farmer, Amos Miller, in 2022, which lowered the fines to $55,000 and allowed Mr. Miller to resume operations. That same farmer was raided again this year, and the battle against him by Biden's Agriculture Department continues to rage on .
Now we see recent reports about states run by liberal leaders doing everything in their power to prevent small farmers and homesteaders from being able to grow and sell their produce.
We'll start with Oregon. Under the guise of water conservation and groundwater protection, farmers are being choked out of business.
Imagine being told you cannot use your well water to grow your crops to sell to your community. Well, that is exactly what is happening to Christina del Campo, who grows food on a half acre of her own land, and is now being told she does have "water rights" to irrigate her fields.
For seven years, del Campo has used well water to grow vegetables here, which she’s sold at farmers markets and to her neighbors. She said that’s been her primary source of income.
“It’s like a convenience store,” said del Campo. “People can stop in. I see a lot of people come on Sunday mornings to grab fixings for breakfast.”
However, everything changed last September. That’s when Oak Song Farm received a letter from the regional office of the Oregon Water Resources Department. It was a notification that the farm couldn’t irrigate its commercial crops without a water right.
Del Campo said this came as a complete surprise. Today, she said her business has been essentially destroyed.
“I don’t know why growing food is illegal,” she said. “That’s what doesn’t make sense to me.
Here is the kicker: "There are some exemptions, as those without a water right can use up to 5,000 gallons a day for commercial or industrial purposes. However, this doesn’t include irrigation."
Ms. del Campo used less that one fifth the amount others are allowed an exemption to use, yet because it is for irrigation, for farming, she is forbidden from running her business, on her own land, using well water.
What is happening to not just Ms. del campo, but to others, is explained in the video below, including stories of others that are being shut down, and suing the state because of another arbitrary rule. One woman simply had three milking cows, and they shut her down.
In 2023, we saw the Biden regime offering to pay Colorado farmers to let their fields run dry as part of a new water conservation program funded by the U.S. government aka American taxpayers.
"They're talking system conservation, and I'm afraid that's the first step to what I would call 'buy and dry,'" he said, referring to a fear that the federal government would buy up the land for pennies on the dollar and dry it out for good. "And there goes, you know, generations and generations of family farms like ours."
Remember, in 2021 it was reported that the Biden regime was paying farmers more to not use their land for farming, than they would have made farming and selling their products, with the goal of adding 4 million acres of farmland to the Conservation Reserve Program, all in the name of "climate change."

ATTACKS AGAINST HOMESTEADERS.....
"Homesteading" is a lifestyle to become self-sufficient. Growing food, canning, storing food, and living off the grid as much as possible, are some of the characteristics of being a homesteader.
Media Matters, founded by Hillary Clinton's "bull-dog," David Brock to attack conservative media and anything else that includes conservative principles, recently put out a hit piece on "homesteaders," criticizing their belief system, including being against illegal immigration, and the gender idiocy that has taken over the left.
Several viral right-wing homesteading and farming influencers are pushing anti-immigrant conspiracy theories and demonizing migrants to their hundreds of thousands of followers across social media.
These conspiracy theories come as the broader right-wing media are increasingly attacking migrants, whipping up hysteria over a flimsy “migrant crime” narrative, and Republican lawmakers are advocating for laws that make it easier for Americans to kill undocumented people.
Conspiracy theories? Ok, so bringing in millions of illegal immigrants, having them counted in the U.S. Census, which gives liberal states that welcome illegals and call themselves "sanctuary" city/states. more seats in the House of Representatives, is a "conspiracy?
No, it is a fact.
Also, laws making it easier to kill immigrants? Again, that is an outright lie. Laws are being created in conservative border states that allow the arrest of those entering the country illegally, and laws allowing Americans to protect themselves and their property, not just from illegal aliens, but from anyone.
Another the MM attack against homesteaders:
The homesteader lifestyle, which these influencers proudly promote and base their content on, is not exclusively a right-wing phenomenon. “Crunchy” culture, which is the foundation of the homesteading movement, is deeply rooted in anti-government sentiment and “anti-modernism,” which strives for independence from the mainstream. The movement broadly disavows cultural relevance and focuses on life and survival without government interference, often choosing to settle in rural areas with plenty of room to grow food, graze animals, and raise children.
Subscribers to this movement promote self-sufficiency, and some advocate for traditional gender norms as well, aligning themselves with the adjacent “tradwife” sect that has been gaining popularity within right-wing circles for romanticizing antifeminism.
Frankly, modern feminism is something to be against, since all they want is to dominate men, and promote hatred of men and masculinity by claiming they are "toxic." Promoting self-sufficiency and gender norms, is what people with common sense do, so MM using those as "attacks" only works with radical liberals.
Readers can see the rest of MM's attacks on homesteaders here at this link. Some of the homesteaders they go after include, The Patriot Nurse, The Prepared Homestead, The American Homestead, and basically anyone else that promotes homesteading.
IMAGINE BEING DEPENDENT ON GOVT FOR EVERY SCRAP OF FOOD.....
Tyson foods is laying off 1,200 workers in their ninth closure since early 2023. The claim is that there is less demand for the product, yet the only reason for that is because food prices are so high, most Americans can barely afford to feed their families.
Tyson is also buying into the "insect-protein" business by investing in Protix black soldier flies.
Protix will leverage its technology and Tyson Foods’ global scale, connections and experience to meet current market demand and bolster the production of insect ingredients, which is increasing in line with the global push toward finding alternative proteins to feed the world’s growing population.
Every day we get closer to the point where we are dependent on the government for every scrap of food we eat, and/or we are eating insects.
BOTTOM LINE....
No matter how much space one has, inside or outside, to grow, unless we do want to be totally dependent on the U.S. government for anything we want to eat, growing all our own produce is going to be the only way to prevent that.
A handful of freeze dried meats, and homegrown veggies can be used to make casseroles, stews, soups, salads and more, cam be the difference between independence and being completely dependent on the government to survive.
