The reason Independent Media exists, and is thriving online, is because people became weary of the MSM, their lies, their "mistakes (which always go in only one direction), their collaboration on "official narrative" to be hammered into the minds of Americans, while big tech and social media censors any opinion or argument that is contrary to the MSM.
Report propaganda. Repeat on every channel and format. Block any opinion that doesn't fit said propaganda. Rinse and repeat day in and day out.
Then poll and blast headlines saying Americans all agree......without acknowledging that Americans are only being allowed to hear one side of a story.
Welcome to media manipulation 101.
The Russia/Ukraine "news" is a perfect example of that type of propaganda and manipulation.
While not a huge fan of Russia President Vladimir Putin, I also do not hate him. Watching the spin, the collaboration between the Biden regime, politicians and the MSM, all of which portraying Putin as the boogeyman, while labeling those looking at both sides as Russian assets, such as Tucker Carlson because he refuses to mimic the "official narrative."
Or Democrat Tulsi Gabbard, who became the latest victim of this "attack anyone that disagrees" mentality, because she dared speak about the U.S. "labs" in Ukraine, just to be called "treasonous" by none other than the RINO (Republican In Name Only) and failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
Whether one agrees with Putin's actions in Ukraine or not, acknowledging the facts about NATO, led by the U.S., consistently moving closer and closer to Russia's sovereign border, with the U.S. politicians, threatening a "nuclear first strike," against Russia and deliberately "poking the bear," should not be controversial.
Flashback, December 2021: "US could ‘rain destruction’ on Russia with nuclear weapons if Putin invades Ukraine, senator warns"
Take a look at the headlines over at the political aggregation website Memeorandum, and note that every major story related to Russia are all hostile to Russia.
Granted the invasion into Ukraine should be reported on, it is news, and America and NATO's reaction to it could lead to a nuclear war, so it is relevant and newsworthy, but there still is no balance to the reporting, no acknowledgement of the "other side" of the argument, being Russia's claims and assertions.
Dare report on those and the label Russian propaganda is screamed from the rooftops by high-on-their-horse so-called "journalists," yet only reporting anti-Russia headlines and news, is also propaganda, and should be treated as such.
Whenever I see colluding headlines, and "reports" that all have the exact same narrative, I become leery of what they are all trying to hide, and this doesn't just pertain to the MSM and U.S. politicians, from both sides of the aisle.
(ANP EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER:Due to a heavy, new censorship campaign by 'big tech' upon ANP articles, we're being forced to run an emergency fundraising drive. We also want to thank everybody who has donated to ANP over the years. With donations and ad revenue all that keep ANP online, if you're able, please consider donating to ANP to help keep us in this fight for America's future at this absolutely critical time in US history. During a time of systematic, 'big tech' censorship and widespread institutional corruption, truth-seeking media and alternative views are crucial, and EVERY little bit helps more than you could know!)
Many that did not like Google's manipulation of search engine results, along with the downranking of entire websites or blacklisting of websites in search results, took their online searching habits over to Duck Duck Go search engine.
Not only did they guarantee privacy, but they also boasted that by using DuckDuckGo you "escape the filter bubble of manipulated results."
Whelp....so much for that.
DuckDuckGo’s CEO Gabriel Weinberg took to Twitter to announce the.......deliberate manipulation of search results.
Sounds like other big tech and social media websites that DDG claims to be different from, yes?
Who decides what that opinions are "disinformation?" Who decides what "news," citations, and point of views is disinformation?
Who decides what "quality information" is? That is exactly why many dumped other search engines and moved to DuckDuckGo, and now they are playing the hide-any-information-we-disagree-with game.
FACEBOOK ALLOWS DEATH THREATS....AGAINST RUSSIANS
Not only has Facebook and other social media sites decided to collude with the U.S. government and the MSM by disallowing "Russia" media websites from sharing their side of the story, by calling it disinformation or propaganda, but they have made an allowance in their "hate speech policy," for death threats against Russians.
In the email recently sent to moderators, Meta highlighted a change in its hate speech policy pertaining both to Russian soldiers and to Russians in the context of the invasion.
"We are issuing a spirit-of-the-policy allowance to allow T1 violent speech that would otherwise be removed under the Hate Speech policy when: (a) targeting Russian soldiers, EXCEPT prisoners of war, or (b) targeting Russians where it's clear that the context is the Russian invasion of Ukraine (e.g., content mentions the invasion, self-defense, etc.)," it said in the email.
More from that article:
Last week, Russia said it was banning Facebook in the country in response to what it said were restrictions of access to Russian media on the platform. Moscow has cracked down on tech companies, including Twitter (TWTR.N), which said it is restricted in the country, during its invasion of Ukraine, which it calls a "special operation."
Many major social media platforms have announced new content restrictions around the conflict, including blocking Russian state media RT and Sputnik in the European Union, and have demonstrated carve-outs in some of their policies during the war.
Once again, big tech and social media companies are actively colluding together, along with the Biden regime and the MSM, to only allow Americans access to American propaganda, while censoring any narrative does not fit the "official" narrative.
BOTTOM LINE
No matter what the opinion regarding Russia and Ukraine, the suppressing of any news that does not fit the coordinated official narrative, should be disturbing to all, and should raise red flagsabout the information they are sharing.
Propaganda is propaganda, no matter who is pushing it.
Considering a nuclear world war would be catastrophic globally, it is more important than ever to understand both sides of the conflict.
