Those who come here illegally, are, by definition, criminals because they start their "career" in the US by breaking US Immigration Law. Then, they continue to remain in the US which violates yet another clause in US Immigration Law. Then, they have to "work under the table" because as an illegal, no one is supposed to hire them to work. And if they can't work "under the table" they WILL resort to crime to support themselves.

No Amnesty - Deport them ALL - It is the will of We The People, and that includes those who immigrated to this country LEGALLY as seen in this post found by ANP Reader/Commenter Tuskers:

ANP Reader/Commenter Amos Moses - He>i posted:

Just note that this ruling is preliminary and based solely on the idea that the argument in the suit claims President Trump's EO and Memorandum are unlawful whereas SCOTUS says the government will likely win on the appeal of this designation. The lawsuit STILL needs to be heard by the full SCOTUS. The case 24A1174 islisted in the docket filesat SCOTUS and states:

Application (24A1174) for stay presented to Justice Kagan and by her referred to the Court is granted. The May 22, 2025 preliminary injunction entered by the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, case No. 3:25cv3698, is stayed pending the disposition of the appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and disposition of a petition for a writ of certiorari, if such a writ is timely sought. Should certiorari be denied, this stay shall terminate automatically. In the event certiorari is granted, the stay shall terminate upon the sending down of the judgment of this Court. The District Courts injunction was based on its view that Executive Order No. 14210, 90 Fed. Reg. 9669 (2025), and a joint memorandum from the Office of Management and Budget and Office of Personnel Management implementing that Executive Order are unlawful. Because the Government is likely to succeed on its argument that the Executive Order and Memorandum are lawfuland because the other factors bearing on whether to grant a stay are satisfied we grant the application. We express no view on the legality of any Agency RIF and Reorganization Plan produced or approved pursuant to the Executive Order and Memorandum. The District Court enjoined further implementation or approval of the plans based on its view about the illegality of the Executive Order and Memorandum, not on any assessment of the plans themselves. Those plans are not before this Court. Justice Sotomayor concurs. (Detached Opinion) Justice Jackson dissents. (Detached Opinion)

Speaker Mike Johnson provided a graphic of the 28 EOs that have been codified in the OBBB. I will keep these in mind as I continue my series on "What's actually in the OBBB."

OBBBTitle III Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs has 4 sections.

Section 30001 covers a funding cap for the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection changing the 12% per year to 6.5% per year.

Section 30002 covers recission of unobligated funds originally earmarked for green and resilient retrofit program for multifamily housing. These unobligated funds will be available for redistribution via this act.

Section 30003 covers the securities and exchange commission reserve fund rescinding 15 U.S.C. 78d subsection (i) securities and exchange commission reserve fund in its entirety. Subsection (j) and (k) now become (i) and (j) respectively. These funds are directed to be used for paying awards to whistleblowers until the available funds are exhausted or October 1, 2025 is reached. Obligated funds may still be spent between now and October 1, 2025. Funds remaining on October 1, 2025 will be transferred to the general fund of the Treasury. The account will then be considered closed.

Section 30004 covers appropriations for Defense Production Act stating that an additional $1 billion will be available to the DOD through September 30, 2027 to carry out the Defense Production Act(50 U.S.C. 4501 et seq.).

This section reduces the amount of funding cap increase by almost 1/2 and eliminates an entire subsection of allocated funding. Unfortunately, it looks like the rest is a wash. They close one source of spending then earmark those funds for the DOD. So the allocated money is spent, just in a different place.

Thomas Lynch Jr was born August 5, 1749 at Hopsewee Plantation in Prince George Parish, Winyah (now Georgetown, SC) and died approximately December 17, 1779 when the ship he was on was lost at sea.

Thomas Jr attended school at the Indigo Society School in Georgetown, SC. He went to Eton College and Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, England where he received honors. He studied law and political philosophy at Middle Temple in London. Thomas Jr returned to SC in 1772. Thomas Jr married Elizabeth Shubrick May 14, 1772. It appears the couple had no children.

Thomas Jr represented the people of SC at the Provincial Congress in 1775. He was a company commander in the 1st SC regiment. He contacted a bilious fever during the march into Charlestown, SC. While he was recovering, he learned of his father's ill health. He was given leave to travel to Philadelphia in 1776 because he was elected to the Continental Congress. The leave had a side benefit of his being able to tend to his ailing father which had previously been denied. He wound up taking his father's place in the Congress making them the only Father/Son pair to serve in the Continental Congress.

After the signing the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jr, along with his father, headed back to SC. On the way, his father died in Annapolis, Maryland in December 1776 after having had a second stroke. Thomas Jr retired in 1777. His illness lingered until his assumed death in 1779 when the ship he and his wife were on appeared to be lost at sea with no known survivors. In his will, he required all the female members of the family to change their last name to Lynch in order to inherit from him. His sister, Sabrina, and her husband, did so and their son, John Bowman Lynch inherited when he came of age.
