Despite having a notepad full of topics and related links of things I wanted to write about, a video was sent to me recently that truly underscores the reason why Democrats continue to tank in polls, and why their supporters are being alienated by the radical portion of the party itself, which is increasing numbers as even so-called "moderate" Democrats have become the party of pro-crime, pro-illegal immigration, pro-everything that goes against the majority of Americans believe and want, even the majority of non-political Democrats across America.
First a little on the House Representative that highlighted a video of former president Bill Clinton speaking on cracking down on illegal immigration, then recent reminders of what Democrats look like now.
The Representative is Republican Troy Nehls, a former law enforcement officer, who served as the sheriff for Fort Bend County, Texas from 2013 to 2021.
Below is a video of Nehls on the floor of the House of Representatives, where he highlights a speech by Bill Clinton on illegal immigration, to which the entirety of the attendees gave him applause, both Republicans and Democrats.
Then Nehls had some choice words to say.
Illegal immigration was once an issue that both sides of the political aisle could agree on....to a certain degree, and while ANP readers are quite aware of the antics surrounding illegal immigration within the Democrat party in 2025, examples to prove the assertions made, should always be provided.
Pew like other left leaning publications refuse to use the accurate terminology, the legal terminology, which is "Illegal aliens," and not "Unauthorized Immigrant Population," but the numbers, the chart below offers a visual shock and awe moment.
A couple of key points from the Pew piece:
• The number of unauthorized immigrants in the United States reached an all-time high of 14 million in 2023 after two consecutive years of record growth, according to a new Pew Research Center estimate. The increase of 3.5 million in two years is the biggest on record. Data from 2023 is the most recent available for developing a comprehensive and detailed estimate.
• The increase from 2021 to 2023 was driven primarily by growth in the number of unauthorized immigrants who were living in the U.S. with some protections from deportation, such as immigrants paroled into the country and asylum seekers. About 6 million immigrants without full legal status had some protection from deportation in 2023, up from 2.7 million in 2021. In 2007, when the total unauthorized immigrant population was at its previous high (12.2 million), about 500,000 had some protection from deportation.
The entire breakdown is worth the read, simply to understand why it has been so hard for President Trump to mass deport illegals, including the "protected status" of millions, forcing trump to fight some on a case by case basis.
One last point I would like to highlight before moving on, is how the Pew attempts to justify their refusal to use to legal terminology of illegal alien, with their explanation of the term "Unauthorized Immigrant Population."
The label “unauthorized immigrants” captures a complex array of statuses, including immigrants who entered the U.S. legally. While the label is not perfect, it groups together immigrants living in the country with impermanent, precarious statuses. The term has been used for decades by researchers who develop estimates of the population and is generally used in this report.
I agree the label is not perfect, but would go further to say it isn't even accurate. No matter the reason, whether someone overstayed their Visa, or snuck across the border illegally, if they are here against the law, they are illegal aliens.
WHY DEMOCRATS FAVOR ILLEGAL ALIENS OVER AMERICANS.....
During President Trump's first term, he attempted to prevent those in the country illegally to be counted as part of the 2020 census in regards to apportioning House of Representative seats, but was blocked ultimately by the U.S. Supreme Court, but with the caveat that it could be done, but the first Trump administration just hadn't provided "proper" justification.
The court's majority said the government has the right to ask a citizenship question, but that it needs to properly justify changing the long-standing practice of the Census Bureau. The Trump administration's justification was "contrived," Roberts wrote, and did not appear to be the genuine reason for the change, possibly implying that the real reason was political.
The decision makes it difficult for the Commerce Department to justify the question and make it part of the census before the forms have to be printed in only a few weeks. But it leaves the door open for the government to try again, and some legal experts believe the government could succeed.
So, President Trump is trying to do so again during his second term.
Using the 2020 census as an example, we see exactly why Democrats are fighting harder to keep criminal illegal aliens in the country, than they fight for America's rights.
The net effect of increases in both legal and illegal immigration in the 2020 Census shifted 17 House seats and 17 Electoral College votes, resulting in a net gain of 14 seats in Blue States — ten seats shifting from red states and four from battleground states. That Democratic net gain is greater than the respective electoral votes of all but ten states.
In part because districts with high percentages of noncitizens tend to vote Democrat, “of the 24 districts where one in five adults is not an American citizen, 20 were won by a Democrat in 2022. In contrast, the Democrat won in just five of the 54 districts where 98 percent of adults are citizens.”
OH, THE HUMANITY!
Democrat party leaders continue to insist their reasoning for bucking the majority of Americans on the issue of illegal immigration is the humanity of it all, fighting for those that just want a better life, yet they ignore the fact that by cross over into America illegally those very people they fight so hard for are committing a crime. They are so invested in keeping their House seats that they only get by using the census to count illegal aliens in order to apportion more seats to Democrat-run states,, they continuously fight publicly to keep even gang members and traffickers in the U.S.
They are criminals. End of.

Since Scott Jennings first became a commentator and regular fixture among the leftist CNN, many social media users question why bother, but the common sense he speaks to an audience that is liberal in nature, the more Americans can "see" clearly how CNN, and their panelists are more pro-crime and illegal immigration than they are pro-American.
This is why Vice President J.D. Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, spend half their time on liberal networks, rather than just conservative networks. A mostly-liberal audience won't hear any common sense on the issues of crime and illegal immigration otherwise. Which is the exact reason they walk into the lion's den of liberalism as often as they can.
BOTTOM LINE....
Bill Clinton had his own set of issues, but at least he understood that illegal immigration needed to be stopped as much as possible, yet the Democrat party has strayed so far off the path of any sanity, that even their own supporters are fleeing from the party in droves.
