Orwell's 1984 Versus Today: The List Of Similarities Are Disturbing As Democrats Are Using The Dystopian Novel As An Instruction Manual Of Control

By Susan Duclos - All News PipeLine

It is no secret that between the two political parties one is a proponent of big government and the other a supporter of small government, but the term big government, pushed by Democrats, includes far more tight-fisted control of the populace than many may know.

George Orwell's dystopian novel titled "1984" is about government control over every aspect of human life, what they say, do, and even what they are perceived to "think," by way of thought police.

While we have seen many compare the book to present day circumstances, it is generally done to highlight a specific proposed policy, or and individual news event, but if we look at a detailed description of the novel we can a provide a cornucopia of examples of Democrats treating the novel not as a work of fiction, but as instruction manual.

Going through the  list we find many similarities between the dystopian fictional novel, and the present day.

SURVEILLANCE IS MOST COMMONLY ADDRESSED

We'll start with the out-of-control surveillance because it is the one example the most commonly addressed. "Big Brother Is Watching You," is a theme that runs throughout the novel, which highlights a society where the the populace is under constant surveillance, willing given up in the name of safety and technology.

As we'll show below, Orwell eerily predicted much of what is happening in the world today, in relation to governmental control, what he couldn't predict was the invasiveness of the Internet and social media.

I am mentioning this because the surveillance of citizens is not just conducted by the U.S. government, but from face recognition software to reading users "private" messages, social media conducts much of the surveillance against Americans, which they in turn share with law enforcement if they deem it "wrong-think."

Question: Ever talk about something at home and next thing you know you are seeing online ads associated with what you were talking about?

Aside from the U.S. government, and social media gurus, we also have "smart" technology in appliances that are in the home.

Example: "Samsung's small print says that its Smart TV's voice recognition system will not only capture your private conversations, but also pass them onto third parties."

The wording, first spotted by the Daily Beast, first informs you that the company may "capture voice commands and associated texts so that we can provide you with Voice Recognition features and evaluate and improve the features."

This is almost understandable. It's a little like every single customer service call, supposedly recorded to make your next customer service call far, far more enjoyable.

However, the following words border on the numbing: "Please be aware that if your spoken words include personal or other sensitive information, that information will be among the data captured and transmitted to a third party through your use of Voice Recognition."

Computers, smart TV's, Alexa, Siri and other "personal assistants," all have fine small print and in many cases require users to actively monitor or change their settings, and even then it cannot be assured that no one is listening to you.

About those smart TV cameras....they could also be watching you.

The surveillance is everywhere.... just as Orwell predicted.

THOUGHT POLICE AND CONTROL

In the novel 1984, Orwell creates a dystopian society in which citizens do what the government commands. They follow the rules due to fear of discovery and subsequent punishment. This fear results from the knowledge that the government has systems in place to ensure they know what citizens are doing at all times. Due to the awareness they are always watched, people learn to even modify their thinking to avoid thoughts that would be considered in opposition of the government. This comes about through the added threat of the “Thought Police” who are also always watching through the use of telescreens which are never allowed to be turned off.

Who needs "telescreens" on every public wall when we have computers in almost every home and business and social media/government determining what is is what is not allowable thoughts and ideas. Cameras in our phones and mobile devices as well as recorders.

Look at the social media and big tech deplatforming of many high profile individuals, Alex Jones, Laura Loomer and President Trump just to name three, all because they say and think things big tech disagrees with, so the "thought police" simply silence them.

Telescreens are put in private residences and public locations, lining every hallway and street. These screens aren’t the only means the government has of watching the people. While a telescreen may not be in view, one cannot be certain their voice is not being picked up on a hidden microphone, or that a helicopter used to spy out those who break the law may not suddenly appear above them. In this society. even a child is to be feared as they are trained and rewarded for turning in parents and other adults.

Not even going to address the helicopters, though there are a lot of stories out there.... but the highlighted portion about teaching children to turn in adults, is another aspect we have seen Democrats apply.

A recent example is schools asking children if they celebrated Thanksgiving during the pandemic:

Small gatherings have already been prohibited, but officials worry many will chose to gather for Thanksgiving anyway.

Gov. Phil Scott says that next week school children and their parents will be asked if they attended gatherings outside their households.

Any who say “Yes,” will be required to quarantine at home and participate in school remotely.

As stated that is just a recent example. We have seen discussions about using children to report and/or answer questions about their parents activities, gun ownership and more....

Just as Orwell predicted.

CIVIL RIGHTS GIVEN UP IN THE NAME OF SAFETY

Although this surveillance creates anxiety and all but eliminates privacy, no one attempts to overthrow the system. This is because they are willing to relinquish the right to think, speak and act as they choose in exchange for perceived safety from the unending war allegedly being fought. Their fear is escalated by the frightening facts reported by the Government. Additionally, though there is a history of peaceful relations with the countries with whom Oceania is supposedly at war yet the people do not know this due to government’s policy of re-writing the past and the present whenever necessary to suit their needs.

Since the media, like big tech, walk in lockstep with Democrat politicians, the examples of this category are countless.

Fear... the media insists we "fear" Republican ideology, religious beliefs, free speech proponents, and we even have a very recent example where Nancy Pelosi attempted to group all Republicans as "domestic enemies" of the state.

The "unending war" rhetoric can be seen in the comparisons as to how Democrats defend Antifa and BLM groups rioting, arson, vandalism and destruction, yet claim that Republican protests are  "insurrections."

The liberal media pushes that rhetoric every day onto their viewers, convincing gullible liberals that civil rights must be relinquished in order to be safe from those nasty conservatives.

We have to wonder when Democrats will actually try to pass a bill criminalizing all conservative thought.

I am not joking!

As it stands we are seeing some liberals suggesting that conservative children be taken away from their parents to be "re-educated."

The principal counsel for the Public Broadcasting Service revealed his disturbing radical views in a new undercover video from Project Veritas.....

In the video, released on Tuesday, Michael Beller was heard saying Americans are “f–king dumb” and that children of Republican voters should be put into “re-education camps.” The principal counsel for the non-profit corporation, which receives millions in taxpayer funding each year, also compared President Donald Trump to Hitler while advocating throwing Molotov cocktails at the White House.

“We go for all the Republican voters and Homeland Security will take their children away. What do you think about that?” Beller asked an undercover Project Veritas journalist in the undercover video. “And we’ll put them into re-education camps.”

“Amen,” the journalist quipped.

"Amen" from the journalist. Says all we need to know about the state of the media today.

BOTTOM LINE

Aside from the inability to predict how huge the internet would become, which in turn limited the predictive ability in regards to social media and big tech, Orwell was scarily on point about where the world was headed.

Rather than seeing Orwell's "1984" as a fictional novel, Democrats seem determined to use it as an instruction manual.
