Online news outlet Modernity has compiled a list of the 10 craziest stories in 2024 of people being punished for wrongthink.
10. Chapelle Resisted Re-education
Back in April, comedian Jim Breuer claimed that Dave Chapelle told him he was once “visited” by an unnamed elite group of people and told to ‘correct’ his views.
The apparent visit took place in 2005 after Chapelle’s TV show became highly popular and before the comedian opted out of fame for close to a decade.
This goes some way to explaining Chapelle’s continued refusal to bow to the woke mob.
9. Elon Musk Is Australia’s Number One Thought Criminal
In April, an Australian Senator called for X owner Elon Musk to be jailed for life for refusing to adhere to the Australian government’s demands to remove a video of the brutal attack on a Christian Bishop in Sydney by a Muslim extremist.
Musk warned that no country should be able to demand national, let alone global content bans. The X owner continued to resist Australia’s authoritarian demands much to the ire of the government and the Prime Minster there. Ultimately Elon, and freedom of speech, prevailed.
8. British Man Visited At Home By Police For Being Angry About Bishop Being Stabbed By Islamist
A man in the UK was investigated at his own home by two police officers and an NHS psychologist after he expressed anger online about the stabbing of the Bishop in Sydney by an Islamist attacker.
A 61-year-old man in the UK was jailed for 18 months for chanting “who the fuck is Allah” and telling police officers “you’re not English anymore” during a protest outside Downing Street.
Wayne O’Rourke had nearly 100,000 followers on X and predicted his own arrest days beforehand.
The whole thing culminated in the new Labor government releasing violent offenders early to make room in overcrowded prisons for the thought criminals.

5. Jailed For Distributing Stickers
In March, a man in the UK, yes the UK again, was imprisoned for two years for the crime of distributing stickers that criticized mass migration.
While Sam Melia was locked up for ‘offensive’ stickers, the same judge gave a man who was caught in possession of child sex images no jail time.
Thankfully after a few months in prison, Melia was released and able to spend Christmas with his wife and children. But he’ll forever be a thought criminal in the eyes of the state.
4. FBI Visits Americans At Home Over Social Media Posts
British people were not the only ones being interrogated for social media posts. In April videos emerged showing FBI agents apparently visiting people’s houses to ask questions about ‘offensive’ Facebook posts.
3. Prison Sentences For Parents Who Refuse To Let Their Kids Go Trans
All the way back in January, it was reported that parents who refuse to accept their children identifying as transgender could face seven years in jail under a new law in Scotland.
Scotland had a hell of a year when it came to thought crime, with the government actually making it illegal to express thoughts it deemed to be hateful.
1. Ireland Targets People Angry About Children Being Stabbed
Meanwhile, over in Ireland, the government reacted to the stabbing of children outside a primary school in Dublin by a man of Algerian origin by preparing new laws to punish those who were angry about it.
What on earth does 2025 have in store after this list, which is only the tip of the iceberg?
