As America Passes The Point Of No Return As 'Rogue Government' Imposes Draconian Dictates To Control Everything, Only Americans Fighting Back Will Stop The Coming Bloodbath

Just this last week, Thomas Sowell published an essay asking if our nation had degenerated to a point of no return – an essay well worth reading, especially now. Just Monday night, our own FBI raided the home of Donald Trump, ostensibly at behest of the government’s National Archives, claiming to be looking for classified materials that Trump allegedly took when he left office. 

Since the warrant along with its supporting documentation is still under seal, we don’t know what official justification was provided for the raid. We only know that it is unprecedented in our history, and almost certainly politically motivated as a way for the Democrats and the Deep State to maintain power by eliminating a threatening opponent. 

The champion must be eliminated 

Only this last weekend, I wrote of how Trump was subject to persecution by the Left, particularly as embodied in the present Democrat party and their supporters in the administrative state. I was not aware at the time that the FBI raid was in the works, but it is consistent with all the Left has been doing ever since Trump announced his candidacy in 2015. His recent announcements of how he would clean up the administration were he to be reelected in 2024, merely made it even more imperative that the Left stop him as soon as possible. 

It is clear to me, at least, that we are in the middle of a slow coup. It started long ago, probably with Woodrow Wilson taking the position that our government had grown too complex for ordinary people to manage, and we needed a “professional” set of administrators to run things. FDR made great strides toward an administrative state, and things accelerated under Obama. It is only in the last two years that it has come to a head. With the subversion of the 2020 election, the coup has progressed into an active phase. 

A point of no return 

In every coup, there comes a time when the conspirators must commit. They will have gone far enough that they must continue to victory or death. Benjamin Franklin expressed that when he said “We must all hang together, or we will all hang separately”. The Left realizes that it must solidify its control quickly, or lose its opportunity, perhaps forever. The 2020 election was their decision point. Up to then, they could simply back down, live with a Trump presidency, and try again later. They instead, elected to show their hand, secure in their belief that they could stave off investigations and challenges long enough for them to consolidate power and complete their coup.

The raid on Mar-A-Lago is simply another step in that consolidation. The January 6 commission was to show that no one opposing the regime was safe. The raid on Trump’s home was to reinforce that lesson. It is likely also an attempt to provoke the Right and Trump supporters to take some sort of rash action that would justify the imposition of martial law. 

They know that if the normal processes of our government are allowed to go forward, they will lose the 2022 midterm elections badly, and will have to relinquish significant power when a new Congress is sworn in in January 2023. That would be a first step to full surrender of power were Trump to be re-elected in 2024. They cannot allow that.

Waving a red flag 

Aside from the fact that the raid happened at all, many believe that the FBI, under the control of the Left, will take the opportunity of the raid to “produce” evidence of wrongdoing by Trump, sufficient to disqualify him from further office. He could be tied up in courts for years before he was finally cleared, ensuring that he could not campaign, even if found not guilty. 

The hope of the Left would be that the raid and subsequent actions would be sufficient to goad the Right into precipitate action, perhaps even a real insurrection, that would justify martial law. The response would be gulag-style mass incarceration, seizure of guns and other weapons, Canadian-style freezing of bank accounts, and other actions against “domestic terrorists”. 

Out of time 

On the other hand, the Left feels that if the Right waits to redress matters in the 2022 midterm elections, they have also won, as it would give them time to complete their plans. Nearly three months until the elections, and an additional two and a half, until a new Congress is sworn in, is more than ample time for them. 

There are many actions that the Left could take before January 2023 to nullify the Constitution and eliminate their need to give up power. They have already tried to provoke wars with Russia and China – wars that they could use to their advantage. Recent passage of the cynically named “Inflation Reduction Act” includes funding for 87,000 new armed IRS agents. It is doubtful that these agents would be armed with pencils and calculators, especially as the IRS has also received funding for thousands of .40 cal pistols, automatic rifles, shotguns, and lots of ammunition. 

Circumvention of the Constitution 

These agents would not be subject to the Posse Comitatus law that prevents use of military forces against US citizens. Likewise, it could be argued that the agents were not bound by the Constitutional protections in the Bill of Rights, since those pertain to civil and criminal law, and not to tax matters. Armed raids by IRS agents is not out of the question. After all, why should the FBI and ATF have all the fun? 

Current and previous Democrat administrations have not hesitated to use the IRS against political opponents, and there is no reason to believe that the current administration has recently developed any sort of conscience in the matter. Indeed, the use of the FBI against the J6 people, as well as others like Roger Stone, Steve Bannon, Peter Navarro, and many others in addition to Donald Trump is ample evidence that they will use any tool the Deep State can provide to retain Power. 

Not only about us 

The Left has powerful friends in their coup attempt. Our enemies would welcome any civil disruption that might prevent us from acting against their interests. Think what China might do if the US were embroiled in a major civil disturbance, or even God forbid a civil war. Goodbye Taiwan and the South China Sea. Goodbye Ukraine. Welcome a New World Order. 

What do we do? 

We are running out of options. While it is possible that the Left will not make any major moves to stop the 2022 election and the 2023 transfer of power, I do not rate that likely. I sincerely hope to be wrong, but I don’t think that the midterms should be our sole recourse. I have consistently advocated for use of the 10th Amendment powers as an ultimate recourse, and Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake just issued a statement of her own in that regard. 

For those unfamiliar, the 10th Amendment acknowledges that all powers not specifically granted to the Federal government reside in the hands of the States and the People. Those powers are broad and absolute. Among actions that could be taken include: 

- Enjoining the FBI and any other Federal agencies from taking any actions against Donald Trump or his supporters; 

- Declaring the actions of the January 6 commission to be unconstitutional and requiring immediate release and pardon of all those imprisoned or prosecuted for January 6 activities at the Capitol; 

and the big one 

- Declaring the 2020 election to be null and void so that all Executive Orders issued since, all legislation signed, and all other actions taken by the installed administration are null and without effect. 

A 10th Amendment action could be taken almost immediately. The Left would likely respond aggressively, trying to claim that such action was illegal, claiming that those organizing such actions were subversives and trying to prosecute them for seditious activities, seeking to imprison or otherwise persecute organizers, or many other punitive actions that a rogue government can take to try to maintain control of its captive citizens. 

I don’t think we have gone so far yet that such activities could succeed for long. I have no doubt that the Left would try, however. Things could get very ugly in the meanwhile. But then, they are already very ugly. 

A time to choose 

We are at a crossroads. Do we wish to continue as a free and independent nation under rule of law subject to the rights and obligations of a strong Constitution, or do we stand aside to let a totalitarian state conduct its midnight raids on its opponents, impose draconian rules to govern our every action, and live in fear and subjugation? The words of an old hymn come to mind: 

”Once to every man and nation 

Comes the moment to decide, 

In the strife of truth and falsehood, 

For the good or evil side.”
