First the news in a brief summary, because it is the reactions, from the media to the liberal politicians to the screaming Mimi's of social media that is far more interesting than the original news itself.
The true importance of this news isn't that Musk wants to bring transparency and an equal playing field to all users of all ideologies, but the reaction by liberals. That means the MSM, so-called celebrities, online screeching "Karen's" and liberal politicians.
Before moving along to the ongoing meltdowns, hissy fits, and whining (and that is just the media!!!) let me offer a quick disclaimer:
For me, since Musk is taking Twitter private, he can set up whatever guidelines he wishes, but the unequal enforcement of said terms of service/guidelines/rules, call them whatever you want, has always been my, and most conservatives, complaint about Twitter.
All we ever wanted and asked for is a level playing field. To be able to debate issues without being censored because our opinions differ from what the media and liberal politicians claims to be the "ultimate" truth of any given subject.
The critically important thing to document is the outright blatant calls for complete shut down of conservative opinions and actual civil debate in the "public square" which is social media, with claims that any "speech" that disagrees with the official narrative or the liberal agenda, is hate speech, white supremacy, and "dangerous" to democracy.
What Musk has done is yanked the roof off hell and is allowing Americans, and the world, to see the demons within.

THE MEDIA MELTDOWN.........
The media, always wanting to be in control of all information, and declare themselves the arbiters of truth, no matter how many times they have been publicly documented as pushing "fake news," have exposed their true nature, intent and fascist, tyrannical tendencies.
MSNBC tells their liberally-minded audience that the "safety" of "women and people of color" is threatened because Musk wants to allow open debate without subjecting one political side or the other to censorship based on nothing more than their ideology and opinion.
Elon Musk saying he thinks that Twitter has tremendous potential here, but remember, this is a very controversial, polarizing owner of Twitter. A lot of the individuals and critics that we’ve been speaking to in recent weeks say they’re really concerned about safety and violence and threats, especially against women and people of color on Twitter. Several people I’ve spoken to today already saying no, they don’t trust safety and the, you know, goodness of Twitter if Elon Musk is the owner.
I find that example extremely interesting as they highlight the "goodness" of Twitter, which has inarguably been one of the most hateful places on the Internet as liberals allowed to attack, threaten and mob any conservative, including females and people of color, without pause, yet conservatives are banned outright if they fight back.
So.... to MSNBC, only liberal women and people of color are unsafe now that conservatives with soon be allowed to debate openly without fear of have their account terminated.
The HORROR!!!!!
MSNBC's Morning Joe's reaction was just as entertaining and enlightening. Not as enlightening for those of us that already knew how badly the liberal media would freak out if Musk succeeded in his bid to buy Twitter, but should be an eye-opener to any "moderate" democrats that still trusted the media in the slightest.

Earlier in the discussion, Andrew Ross Sorkin of The New York Times lamented that no hero investor had stepped in to save the social media platform from Musk: “I think we’re at the point where there was no white knight, they looked, there were lots of calls made to others to potentially come in and try to buy. Nobody else wants to buy it, at least at this price, $54.20.”
Of course no one on the MSNBC morning show dared to suggest that Musk himself might be Twitter’s “white knight.”
Instead, Sorkin fretted: “Of course, this is gonna raise all sorts of questions about the role, frankly, of free speech, billionaires and influence, and, yes, whether former President Trump returns to the Twitter platform.”
This is not the first time MSNBC has freaked out over Musk buying Twitter since he first started making moves to acquire the company a few weeks ago. On April 14, afternoon anchor Katy Tur feared “massive life and globe-altering consequences” to Musk’s vow to support free speech if he took over Twitter.
In addition, Axios recently compared Musk to a “movie supervillain” and CBS Mornings claimed that “a lot of people think Elon Musk is sort of like a Bond villain now.”
The level of fear and panic being openly shown over nothing more than a social media platform being sold to someone that wants to open debate up without fear of one side being shut down, expose the algorithms for transparency sake, get rid of spam bots and make improvements to the user side, such as adding an edit button, is so very telling.
The improvements are not what they are scared to death of.... it allowing open debate. allowing the questioning of the liberal media narrative. Allowing disagreement on gun control, climate change. Allowing people to openly say woman are woman and men are men.
To show the proof of that final point, look at the headlines below:
I am sure you are starting to see the pattern, but if you need more just search out Twitter bans and the type of things people are banned for, should tell you all you need to know as to why it is so important, especially during election season, that debate on Twitter be open to all sides of an issue.
So, who knows? I think that's an example of a broader question for Twitter, which is if you – If you get invited to something where there are now rules, where there is total freedom for everybody, do you actually want to go to that party or are you going to decide to stay home?
And that's a question for Twitter users. Some might love the idea there's going to be absolutely no moderation and no rules at all. Others might not want to be anywhere near that.
I doubt he goes to many parties.....or even be invited to many.
The examples are vast and are coming out a mile a minute, with conservatives cautiously optimistic, albeit highly entertained by the media meltdown and online freakfests, and politicians, the White House, online liberals across the entire Internet going nuts.
Ha! That from the people that deliberately hid the Hunter Biden laptop from hell story until after the election and pushed the Russian collusion hoax for more than four years.
“If you own all of Twitter or Facebook,” Melber prefaced by saying, “You don't even have to be transparent. You could secretly ban one party's candidate or all of its candidates, all of its nominees.”
Apparently having no self-awareness or sense of irony at all, he continued his laughable speculation: “or you could just secretly turn down the reach of their stuff, and turn up the reach of something else and the rest of us might not even find out until after the election.”
In one of the videos at the end of the article we see that statement, and he says it with a straight face, as if that isn't what Twitter has been doing to influence elections in favor of democrats for years!
NYT writes "The world's richest person didn't like Twitter. So he's buying it," while Wapo screeches about "Twitter workers face a reality they've long feared: Elon Musk as owner," and NPR laughably claims that all because of Musk "the amount of disinformation in our media ecosystem," will explode, as if Twitter hasn't been pumping our disinformation, while hiding inconvenient true news for more than a decade.

Like Musk or hate him, but at least give him kudos for forcing liberals to openly admit they are petrified of open and civil debate and want only one ideology or political opinion allowed to be expressed.
