Will You Survive The Biden Regime? Liberal Media Ignores Massive Inflation On Products All Americans Need To Survive - Food Inflation Tops 11% In January As New Shortages Announced
The data is in for January 2023, and the average food inflation came in at 10.1%, following December's 10.4%. While overall inflation is at 6.4%, food has replaced energy at the top of the inflationary items.
That 10.1% is the average though and some foods, such as eggs, are quite higher than that.
• Cereal and bakery products have seen an increase of 15.6% since January 2022.
• Dairy & related products have seen an increase of 14%.
• Non-alcohol beverages and "other" foods at home, both increase by over 13%.
• Meats, Poultry, fish and eggs increased by 8.1%.
• Fruits and vegetables by 7.2%.
So when the Biden regime and their puppets in the media tout a 6.4% inflation number year over year, remember they are deliberately leaving out the massive rise in costs for the most important product of all, one all Americans must have to survive....food.
Via emails, notes and comments, one of the most appreciated topics we cover consistently is the food inflation and shortages, so we try to keep up with a data released each month that the media downplays or simply ignores.
We also keep a close eye on shortages, those occurring now and those predicted to be seen in the coming months, saving the reports and links for the next food crisis updates.
With that said, let's get into it.

In other words, what the UK is seeing shortages on right now, such as poultry, is expected to hit the U.S. in the coming months.
Some of the items are not just food-related, such as a continued issues with the baby formula supply, prescription medicines, tampons, canning supplies, cat food, computers and smart phones.
For me the food shortages/inflation falls into three categories; foods we can grow ourselves, can them up and have a supply throughout the year; foods we can make from scratch; and emergency survival foods to use as supplements to those you have grown and made from scratch, such as meats to go into salads, soups, stews and casseroles.
Using the data graph below, and the list above, we can see which foods are getting to a point where we are going to have to start growing them, and which will be far less expensive to simply learn to make from scratch.
GROW YOUR OWN.....
Right now lettuce and tomatoes are items we can grow at home, indoors, year round. Both have been consistently listed as expected shortages in 2023, with some noticing that both lettuce and tomatoes in their local stores are going bad faster, showing they aren't near as fresh as they used to be.
Fruits and vegetables are also list in the graph above as seeing above "average" inflation.
Grab a planter, seeds, a grow light for indoor growing and get some potting soil from your local garden shop.
Cereals and bakery products, especially items make with wheat such as pastas, are seeing the highest inflation of all, at 15.6%. Buying in bulk to store before prices go up even further will still cost more than 15% than the same time last year, so making it from scratch is simply more cost efficient, and the money you spend originally is more than made up in the first few months.
Also, from personal experience, I can vouch for the fact that homemade breads and pastas are so much tastier than store bought.
FREEZE DRIED MEATS, FRUITS, VEGGIES, EGG AND DAIRY
The benefits of freeze dried foods are many, but for me the best part of it is you can open a pouch, use just a handful and the rest won't go bad within a week like most fresh foods will once opened.
It is worth offering a reminder than when buying breakfast or entrée buckets, most do not have meat included, which is why we generally link to meats, vegetable and fruit buckets separately.
Look closely to make sure what you are getting includes everything you want in a meal. Another idea that works is getting the meatless entrée buckets and buy meat buckets separately to add some into the others.
I have made this point before, and I'll say it again, emergency survival foods, canning your own foods for long term use, learning to make your baked products from scratch, all use to be things we thought would be needed to survive a SHTF scenario, but no longer.
At this rate, these prepper actions are needed to survive the Biden regime.
We would like to ask readers to take pictures to document the changes you are seeing at your local grocery stores.
