MSNC's liberal host Katy Tur got much more than she bargained for when she invited Pastor Rev. Darrell Scott onto the show, where once he got Tur to shut up and stop giving her own little anti-Trump speeches (2nd video), proceeded to rip the "left wing" media, informing Tur that the media created the "ridiculous" narrative of President Trump being a racist, which in turn is why white supremacy groups automatically gravitated towards his candidacy.
"The media has driven the narrative that Trump embraces white supremacy, so the white supremacists said, 'well, if this candidate embraces us, we’re going to embrace him,'” Scott said. "But it’s not true."
"No matter how many times he denies being a racist, no matter how many times he denounces white supremacy, it’s never enough," he continued. "This racist climate in America is being fueled by the media as well…the media is fueling this only because Trump is president."
Pastor Scott also laid the blame for the recent uptick in racial animosity right on the MSM's doorstep, highlighting how he believes the "Left wing media and the white supremacists have a synergistic relationship. They feed off of each other. "
That was simply too much for Tur to be able to handle as she said she was going to stop him right there, then attempted to deny his point, stating "I am going to stop you right there! The left wing media does not feed off white supremacists groups," as Scott interrupts her and states "I think it does, I think it does."
The important part of interview like this, with prominent African Americans speaking out with truth in response to the media "spin" and lies, is 1) It was on the liberal MSNBC, so that finally the asleep audience that rarely gets to hear the truth, actually got to hear it 2) Showed how Tur wanted to drive the conversation with her obnoxious pontificating when the point of an interview is to get the perspective of the person being interviewed; and 3) Coming on the heels of President Trump, finally using the so-called "bully-pulpit," being the only politician today to have the courage to call out the "alt-left" for showing up in Charlottesville without a permit with the specific intent of causing chaos and violence against rally participants that had a permit for their rally.
Watch both segments of the interview with Pastor Scott, and then we'll take a look at some media reaction to the truth bombs President Trump laid on the media and the American people last night.
PRESIDENT TRUMP'S TRUTH BOMBS
In yesterday's article, which received a wonderful response from readers, ANP highlighted a list put together by Ben Domenech over at The Federalist, of violent liberal protests that have occurred since 2009, where politicians, the media, and the former president would call out "violence," but never highlighted where the violence was coming from, who was responsible, for the mass injuries, destruction of property, and rioting.
Oakland 2009, Akron 2009, Pittsburgh 2009, Santa Cruz 2010, Oakland 2010, Los Angeles 2010, Oakland 2011, Chicago 2012, Anaheim 2012, Brooklyn 2013, Ferguson 2014, New York City 2014, Baltimore 2015, Anaheim 2016, Chicago 2016, St Paul 2016, Milwaukee 2016, Charlotte 2016, Standing Rock 2016, Oakland 2016, Portland 2016, Washington DC 2017, Berkeley 2017, Anaheim 2017, Berkeley (again) 2017, Berkeley (again again) 2017, Olympia 2017, and Portland 2017.
In almost all events listed above, the mainstream media attempted to justify the mass violence on the part of the liberal groups like Antifa and BLM, which have direct ties to George Soros, just as they have been doing in regards to the tragic events that occurred in Charlottesville, VA, on Saturday, acting like Antifa groups had a right to show up in masks and carrying weapons in order to violently attack rally goers who had a permit to hold a rally in protest of Confederate monuments being removed.
President Trump highlighted that very fact when answering questions at what was supposed to be an presser about infrastructure.
I will tell you something. I watched those very closely. Much more closely than you people watched it. And you have, you had a group on one side that was bad. And you had a group on the other side that was also very violent. And nobody wants to say that. But I'll say it right now.
You had a group, you had a group on the other side that came charging in without a permit and they were very, very violent.
Later in the presser President Trump reiterated that point:
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Excuse me. You had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group, excuse me, excuse me, I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park, from Robert E. Lee to another name.
George Washington was a slave-owner. Was George Washington a slave-owner? So will George Washington now lose his status — are we going to take down — excuse me. Are we going to take down statues of George Washington? How 'bout Thomas Jefferson? What do you think of Thomas Jefferson? You like him? Ok, good. Are we going to take down the statue because he was a major slave-owner? Now we're going to take down his statue. So you know what, it's fine. You're changing history, you're changing culture. And you had people, and I'm not talking about the neo Nazis or the white nationalists because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo Nazis and white nationalists, ok? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly.
Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people but you also had troublemakers and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets and with the baseball bats. You got a lot of bad people in the other group too.
REPORTER: You said the press has treated white nationalists unfairly?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: No. There were people in that rally, and I looked the night before, if you look, they were people protesting very quietly the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee. I'm sure in that group there were some bad ones. The following day it looked like they had some rough, bad people. Neo Nazis, white nationalists, whatever you want to call them. But you had a lot of people in that group that were there to innocently protest and very legally protest. Because I don't know if you know, they had a permit. The other group didn't have a permit. So I only tell you this, there are two sides to a story. I thought what took place was a horrible moment for our country. A horrible moment. But there are two sides.
While President Trump denounced in no uncertain terms the man behind the wheel of the car that drove into the counter-protesters, as well as the neo-Nazis and white supremacists ideology of some of the rally participants, he also is the only politician out there today standing up and speaking the truth about how groups like Antifa showed up with violent intent, rather than white washing that aspect, which is what instigated the events which led to the death of a woman and the injuries of dozens of others.
What the media completely ignores is the injuries that occurred to rally participants by those violent Antifa groups in incidents other than the car ramming.
President Trump also called the media out on their refusal to report fully on the issue, when he said " Well, I do think there's blame, yes, I think there's blame on both sides. You look at both sides. I think there's blame on both sides. And I have no doubt about it. And you don't have any doubt about it either. And, and if you reported it accurately, you would say it."
PROVING TRUMPS ASSERTIONS
The videos and images pretty much say it all. Despite the fact that some of the original protest members where from factions and groups many of us would find distasteful, like neo-Nazi's and White Supremacists groups, others were just there to protest the removal of the monuments, as the video of the Tiki March below shows, while there are counter-protesters holding signs from the U. of VA present, there was no violence, no one attacked others, nothing got out of control.
The next day during the protest march, Antifa showed up with masks on, bats in their hands:
Then this type of violence starts:
THE SEEDS OF TRUTH WERE SOWN - MEDIA FREAKS OUT
President Trump's truth bombs instantly sent the mainstream media into a tailspin as they started freaking out live on air, claiming the President was siding with the the white supremacists, rather than acknowledging the truth behind his statements.
The NYT rushed to print with an absurd article where they attempted to tie "conservatives" and the "far right" that attending the rally in protest against erasing history by removing Confederate monuments because they offed the perpetually offended liberals that cannot handle that history actually happened and is part of this nation.
Get it? The vile racists who promoted violence in Charlottesvile, Virginia over the weekend, groups that include the KKK and Nazis, are part of the “far right” and “hard line conservatives.” That’s according to the New York Times in a front page story on Tuesday. The paper used the phrase “far right” or “conservative” six times to connect racist thugs to the political right.
The headline trumpeted, “Far Right Plans Its Next Moves With a New Energy.” Writer Alan Feuer began, “The white supremacists and right-wing extremists who came together over the weekend in Charlottesville, Va., are now headed home.” He later underlined, “The far right, which has returned to prominence in the past year or so, has always been an amalgam of factions and causes.”
Also according to MRC, the network news media was so incensed that President Trump told the American people the truth about the groups that started the violence at the Charlottesville rally, they spent 77 percent of the evening news on the presser.
- CBS Evening News used 100 percent of their air time to talk about what Trump said or tie racism back to him in someway.
- ABC’s World News Tonight had roughly 18 minutes and 36 seconds of total news time and 59 percent of it was talking about Trump’s display (11 minutes). This left only seven minutes and 36 seconds for other news stories.
- On NBC Nightly News, their total news time was 18 minutes and 49 seconds. They came in second with their total Trump press conference coverage accumulating for 13 minutes and 18 seconds (70 percent). That meant they only gave five minutes and 31 seconds to all the other possible stories to cover.
Now let us step for a moment to recent history, where throughout the Trump campaign, the media magnified everything Trump the candidate did and said, only to find that Americans liked the message, understood the truth of his assertions and we all watched him rise in the polls and knock out 16 other Republican candidates.
He sews the seeds of truth and the media, in all their glorified outrage, not only makes sure the whole nation hears those truth bombs, but then they spend the majority of time further making sure the nation hears the truth, while attempting to spin it in a manner more palatable to the media talking heads.
How did that work for them during the campaign season? Oh that's right, he went from a two percent chance of winning the Republican nomination to actually becoming the President of the United States.
Do they never learn?
If they follow their typical patterns they will now do a slew of polls, skewing the demographics to favor Democrats by two-to-one compared to Republicans and then blare headlines saying no one believed the president.... we have seen this game played before during the election and those "polls" were dead wrong.
BOTTOM LINE
Reverend Scott in the interview shown above, along with President Trump, made sure that Americans received the truth of what happened in Charlottesville over the weekend, not just the media narrative of "bad people were talking," and "other groups were protesting those bad people talking" and a "bad man ran over people."
The media, having not learned that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, is considered insanity, has spent two days now making sure that every American knows that they are trying to spin the fact that Antifa groups showed up in VA without a permit, with the intent to commit violence against multiple groups of people that did have a permit to hold a protest rally, and they got what they wanted.
President Trump is right, there were good and bad on both sides, but only one side planned to committ violence at the rally. He was 100 percent right to call them out.
