All News Pipeline has been honored over the past several years to be able to publish stories here from one of America's foremost experts on EMP, Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, whose warnings to Americans over the years of the existential dangers facing our country from an EMP attack have just been confirmed in a newly declassified report from the EMP Commission.
As Mac Slavo reports in this new story over at SHTFPlan, the new report put out by the re-established Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack confirms that even a minor EMP attack upon our electrical grid would likely lead to at least a year without electricity in America, if not even longer the Commission warns.
As Paul Bedard reports in this new story over at the Washington Examiner, according to the new report (which we have embedded in full at the bottom of this story for you to read at your own convenience), parts if not the entire United States could "be starved of electricity, water, food, internet service and transportation for a year or longer by the smallest electromagnetic pulse attack on the electric grid" and "as a result of the chaos, millions would likely die".
And while the Examiner and SHTFPlan stories might sound like 'old news' to some ANP readers and those who've been preparing for just such an event to one day happen within our lifetimes, as the report points out, most Americans are still totally unprepared for such an event with potentially hundreds of millions of Americans who have either never even heard of 'EMP' or who have been led by the mainstream media to believe EMP to be something from a science fiction movie.
Yet the same people are glued to their cell phones and other electrical gadgets much of their waking lives, totally unprepared for a few hours without their 'gadgets', much less the hell that could be unleashed with a power outage lasting for a year or more.
With such an outage making everything that makes life 'modern' for Americans a non-factor in our lives going forward, the Commission warns such an event would kick America back to the 1800's and a time where the 60 million or so Americans living here were prepared to live without electricity as they hadn't even come to know it yet.
Just imagine the 327 million Americans living here now attempting to live on the infrastructure of the 1800's.
While we've put out numerous stories on ANP about EMP and the importance of hardening the electrical grid to make such attacks or 'events' such as EMP by solar flare much less dangerous to our country's very survival, this report confirms everything that 'Watchmen' have long warned of with Dr. Peter Vincent Pry leading the way in calls for our electrical grid to be hardened yet confirming we may be running out of time. Every day without hardening the grid brings us one day closer to EMP Armageddon.
As this report also points out, no longer is America vulnerable to destruction to just another nuclear superpower such as
Russia or China but a single nuclear weapon in the hands of ISIS terrorists (or rogue American operatives), combined with the ability to deliver the weapon instantly makes such groups an existential threat to America. From the Washington Examiner story.:
“A long-term outage owing to EMP could disable most critical supply chains, leaving the U.S. population living in conditions similar to centuries past, prior to the advent of electric power,” said the July 2017 report provided Secrets.
“In the 1800s, the U.S. population was less than 60 million, and those people had many skills and assets necessary for survival without today’s infrastructure. An extended blackout today could result in the death of a large fraction of the American people through the effects of societal collapse, disease, and starvation. While national planning and preparation for such events could help mitigate the damage, few such actions are currently underway or even being contemplated,” added the executive summary.
The so-called EMP Commission report said that the threat is real, jeopardizes “modern civilization,” and would set back living conditions to those last seen in the 1800s. And as a result of the chaos, millions would likely die, according to the report titled “Assessing the Threat from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP),” from the recently re-established Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack.
With most Americans not even thinking about having to live for the next day without electrical power much less for the next year, how many people are realistically prepared to survive for more than a few weeks or months without electricity?
Yet anybody living in 'modern day society' knows how quickly even a brief power outage can instantly turn into a headache when one is using electrical power to accomplish their jobs or simply tasks at hand requiring electricity.
Now imagine life without electricity for the next year or more. Are you ready for it? Food stocked up? What about water as it will no longer be freely flowing without electricity? How will you keep your food cold? How will you cook it? Prepared to live your life without modern bathroom facilities? As we read from Dr. Pry in another recently declassified report which he wrote titled "Life Without Electricity", a long term power outage in America from either EMP, cyber attack or solar flare instantly ends life here in America as we know it. More from the Washington Examiner story that brings up topics to consider that most Americans will never think of.: Also declassified was a report from Peter Vincent Pry, who served on a prior EMP Commission and is executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security, spelling out the human toll of an EMP attack on the electric grid. He also advises the current commission.
In “Life Without Electricity,” he said the results would be:
Social Order: Looting requires dusk to dawn curfew. People become refugees as they flee powerless homes. Work force becomes differently employed at scavenging for basics, including water, food, and shelter.
Communications: No TV, radio, or phone service.
Transportation: Gas pumps inoperable. Failure of signal lights and street lights impedes traffic, stops traffic after dark. No mass transit metro service. Airlines stopped.
Water and Food: No running water. Stoves and refrigerators inoperable. People melt snow, boil water, and cook over open fires. Local food supplies exhausted. Most stores close due to blackout.
Energy: Oil and natural gas flows stop.
Emergency Medical: Hospitals operate in dark. Patients on dialysis and other life support threatened. Medications administered and babies born by flashlight.
Death and Injury: Casualties from exposure, carbon dioxide poisoning and house fires increase.
Dr Pry also recently reported in a story on ANP that the difference between President Trump on the EMP threat and former President Obama on the EMP threat is like night and day with President Trump taking the threat very seriously.
But will President Trump harden the electrical grid before it is too late?
The mere fact that President Trump is taking this threat seriously while the Obama administration totally ignored it speaks volumes and offers all the evidence we need that indeed, President Trump is MUCH different than Obama. Yet as Dr. Pry also points out, the 'Obama holdovers' are still within President Trump's administration. Once again, from the Washington Examiner story.:
“President Trump’s withdrawal from the bogus Iran nuclear deal, and his determination to denuclearize North Korea, are all the more important because even a single nuclear weapon possessed by these rogue states would pose an existential threat to North America by EMP attack,” Pry told Secrets.
He also praised Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson’s focus on the issue in his role as chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Reform Committee, but slammed “Obama-holdovers and Deep State bureaucrats” for ignoring the report.
The report warned that the type of conditions spelled out by Pry could last a long time due to the difficulties fixing the electric grid, which many have testified would be fairly cheap to harden against an attack.
“The United States -- and modern civilization more generally -- faces a present and continuing existential threat from naturally occurring and man-made electromagnetic pulse assault and related attacks on military and critical national infrastructures. A nationwide blackout of the electric power grid and grid-dependent critical infrastructures -- communications, transportation, sanitation, food and water supply -- could plausibly last a year or longer. Many of the systems designed to provide renewable, stand-alone power in case of an emergency, such as generators, uninterruptible power supplies, and renewable energy grid components, are also vulnerable to EMP attack,” said the 27-page report.
While an EMP or cyber attack that takes down the electrical grid in America is absolutely a 'worst case scenario' that would unleash havoc all across the country, as we hear in the 1st video below, it's also likely the biggest threat that America faces as even a nuclear bomb that hits an American city won't lead to the deaths of up to 90% of us or more over the next year to 18 months as an EMP could.
With the electrical grid long our 'achiles heel' and nothing done by the Obama adminstration to 'fix it' despite the recommendations of the EMP Commission dating back years, a 'conspiracy theorist' might ask if their refusal to do anything about the biggest threat we face as a nation might be because they want that threat to remain open.
And while we thank President Trump for taking this threat much more seriously than his predecessor, should enemies of America take down our electrical grid, possibly leading to the deaths of tens to hundreds of millions of Americans, it's easy to believe that 'the masses' will blame President Trump, despite Obama's refusal to do anything about this threat for years.
As our videographer also warns us, with 'Dark Sky exercises' taking place from May 15th to May 17th in Wisconisn, simulating a long term electrical grid outage across much of the state that will feature 'house to house visits' by the National Guard, it wouldn't take much to turn America into a futuristic horror movie featuring 327 million people sent back to the dark ages, with an EMP that takes down our electrical grid nationwide quickly and viciously leading to the 'death of America' as we also hear in the 2nd video below.
NOTE TO READERS: With digital media revenue spiraling downward, especially hitting those in Independent Media, where attacks from every direction continue to come unabated, it has become apparent that traditional advertising simply isn't going to fully cover the costs and expenses for many smaller independent websites.
