A visit to the live earthquake map ast the Global Indidents report finds much of the entire eastern half of the ring of fire littered with quakes over the past 24 hours as seen in the screenshot above with two large ones just southwest of the long dormant Tanaga Volcano in Alaska headlining the recent string of quakes. As Strange Sounds reports in this recent story, the Tanaga volcanic complex hasn't erupted in more than a hundred years, dating all the way back to 1914, are these latest eruptions more signs that a major quake is in our future?

As has been proven time and again, deep sea creatures often 'sense' way ahead of an earthquake that something is about to happen and research has shown that some will often come to the surface before one. As this Wikipedia entry on 'electroperception' reports, electroreception is the biological ability to perceive natural electrical stimuli and it has been proposed thatsharks can use their acute electric sense to detect the earth's magnetic field by detecting the weak electric currents induced by their swimming or by the flow of ocean currents.
As we can see in the photographs at the top of this story and below, the eastern half of the Ring of Fire has really come alive recently and as we hear in the first video below, with an Earth-bound CME arriving on May 10th and a full moon due on the 10th of May as well, a larger earthquake than the 5.2 to 6.6 magnitude quakes that recently hit Alaska may be due.

The Big One may be overdue to hit California, but scientists near LA have found a new risk for the area during a major earthquake.
They claim that if a major tremor hits the area, it could plunge large parts of California into the sea almost instantly.
The discovery was made after studying the Newport-Inglewood fault, which has long been believed to be one of Southern California’s danger zones.
“It’s not just a gradual sinking. This is boom — it would drop. It’s very rapid sinking,” Robert Leeper, lead author of a new study published in Nature, carried out with the help of the US Geological Survey, told the LA Times.
Cal State Fullerton professor Matt Kirby, who worked with the Leeper on the study, said the sinking would occur quickly and likely result in part of California being covered by the sea.
“It’s something that would happen relatively instantaneously,” Prof Kirby said.
As we hear in the 2nd video below, the strong quakes in Alaska are now putting more pressure upon the Cascadia Subduction Zone, an area just off the West coast of the state of Washington stretching from Canada all the way down to northern California that has long been warned to be overdue for a massive quake that could cause havoc from the West coast to the East coast.
As we reported on ANP back on March 8th of 2016, a strong quake in the Cascadia Subduction Zone, also part of the 'awakening' Ring of Fire, might lead to a devastating tsunami that could lead to a series of cascading events that severely impacted the US from West coast to East. From that 2016 ANP story.:
The 182-page PDF from Oregon's government documenting the Cascadia Rising exercise tells us that internet service nationwide might be disrupted by a Cascadia quake as undersea cables are ripped apart and we also learn that a complete failure of the electrical grid could trigger a chain reaction leading to failures in the electrical system not only along the West coast but in other locations throughout America as well. In such a catastrophic failure, some people could be forced to go without electricity for weeks or even months or more.
“Available studies estimate fatalities ranging from 1,250 to more than 10,000 due to the combined effects of earthquake and tsunami, tens of thousands of buildings destroyed or damaged so extensively that they will require months to years of repair, tens of thousands of displaced households, more than $30 billion in direct and indirect economic losses (close to one-fifth of Oregon’s gross state product), and more than one million dump truck loads of debris,” the report said.
Rizzo said there is a 37 percent chance that a monster earthquake will occur in the state sometime during the next 50 years. Emergency management experts in Oregon predict such a mega quake would cripple refinery gas lines, down the electrical system, and make transportation on the interstate come to a screeching halt after overpasses and bridges collapse. All this destruction would reportedly stem from approximately two to four minutes of ground shaking and weeks of stability-stressing aftershocks.
The destruction is also expected to cause liquefaction if the ground is saturated with water, causing “causing hardware, such as sewer systems, septic lines and gas tanks, to rise up out of the earth,” the Mail Tribune newspaper reported.
Electricity in the valley would be cut off for one to three months, while power in the coastal regions would be off three to six months, according to the report to the legislature. Drinking water and sewer services would be out in the valley up to one year, and along the coast one to three years. It would take health care facilities along the coast up to three years to get back to normal, and those in the valley areas about 18 months.
Top-priority highways would take six to 12 months to repair.
As we see documented in the screenshots below an astonishing number of earthquakes to strike the planet on May 8th alone, specifically along the Ring of Fire, we get more proof the planet is 'shaking, rattling and rolling' with over 100 quakes being documented in only 12 hours.
