Quick Reminder: On December 26, 2016, ANP reported on Obama signing the NDAA, which included the Countering Disinformation and Propaganda Act, setting up a de facto, government controlled, "U.S. Ministry of Truth," to which as of January 20, 2107, Donald Trump would be in control of. We reported the that Obama had just handed Trump the tools to declare the MSM as 'Fake News," if he so chose.
I wrote:

Yes, the same man that benefited from Independent Media fighting back against the lies of the MSM.
The same man that by all accounts hold the mainstream media in contempt for their "promoting" Hillary Clinton, while attacking him and his family and his supporters for the last year and a half.
The same man that the media is already whining about because he hasn't given them the access that President-Elects have done traditionally in the past.
The same man that called MSM high profile personalities together for a summit which one insider terms as a "f**king firing squad."
Since Trump announced his candidacy, the mainstream media has relentlessly attacked him, his supporters and his family, which has continued even after he won the election, and there have been clear indications that during a Trump administration, the MSM's free ride as the only arbiter of what is "news" and what people should think, or pay attention, is over.
Trump's habit of announcing transition news on his Transition 2017 YouTube channel and reporting it on his https://greatagain.gov/ website, rather than allowing the MSM to always be the "first" to inform the public, has had the MSM running to catch up with the news, rather than being allowed to 'spin" it before the public gets hear it.
We have seen a number of reports since the election over how "Journalists fear for their profession under Trump"(written the day after the election, when they realized the candidate they were promoting lost) and "Donald Trump’s Real Threat to the Press." Those are two examples, but the are representative of the dozens upon dozens of articles which show the absolute panic the MSM is experiencing about the loss of control of the narrative.
The media would love, and does attempt, to portray all their angst as being the fault of Trump's contempt for the MSM because he calls them out regularly and has since he started his campaign, but the media avoids acknowledging that since day one, they have been contemptuous of Trump and his supporters, to the point where they made no bones about "throwing out textbook American journalism, when reporting about Trump.
Example: CNN's audience editor, tweeted on August 8, 2016, "to throw out the textbook American journalism."
That tweet referenced a NYT writer pushing for the same thing, to throw the rule book out, to throw neutrality out the window... yes, I know that is amusing since they have shown none at all during the campaign season and it has gotten worse since the election, but they are actually recommending treating a sitting U.S. president as an enemy, as the "opposition."
PAYBACK IS A 'B*TCH'
Well, they have succeeded and as Neil Cavuto so outstandingly points out, "Payback is a b*tch" and the "shoe is now on the other foot," and now kicking the MSM in the "a**," in reference to how Fox News has been the target of the Obama administration consistently throughout Obama's term in office and now, CNN has felt, firsthand, how that feels.
Now we see that liberal journalists from groups like Huffington Post, Slate, CNN, and Univision, are all meeting together, huddling in order to collude on "how the news media can and should proceed to cover," Trump during his term.
Newflash: It doesn't matter because it appears that "traditional" journalists will not be the only ones allowed to have the same access to the Trump administration as part of the "White House Press Corps," and there are discussions within the Trump transition team to increase the amount of reporters, which will likely include Independent Media, because as one Trump official told Esquire, "We are taking back the press room," calling the mainstream media the "opposition party."
Spicer cast the possible relocation of the press corps as a matter, in part, of logistics. "There's been so much interest in covering a President Donald Trump," he said. "A question is: Is a room that has forty-nine seats adequate? When we had that press conference the other day, we had thousands of requests, and we capped it at four hundred. Is there an opportunity to potentially allow more members of the media to be part of this? That's something we're discussing."
Sean Spicer has been chosen to be the Trump administration's Press Secretary, so his answer and reasoning for the discussions about moving the White House press room to the White House Conference Center, near Lafayette Square, or to the Old Executive Office Building, next door to the White House, is a little more diplomatic than that of another official quoted by Esquire, who states bluntly, "They are the opposition party. I want 'em out of the building. We are taking back the press room."
THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION HAS ULTIMATE AUTHORITY TO CHANGE IT ALL
The White House press room currently seats 49 reporters. Each seat is assigned to one news gathering organization, with the most prominent organizations occupying the first two rows. Reporters who don't have an assigned seat may stand. Seating assignments are selected by the White House Correspondents' Association, not Press Secretary or White House staff. (Source)
It wasn't always that way though. What many don't know is that the White House Correspondents Association has only had the responsibility for assigning the seats in the briefing room for the last two decades.
The TV networks are in front, behind them roost NYT, WaPo, NPR, and so on. "The White House press secretary used to decide who got what seats, but this authority was given to the White House Correspondents Association in the middle of the George W. Bush administration."
Former George W. Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer makes some excellent points in that article, stating "While approximately 750 reporters hold White House credentials, the briefing room holds 49 seats, and they are occupied overwhelmingly by mainstream media reporters, with barely any assigned to the new dot-com world."
Fleischer continues on to say "Nothing prohibits the incoming administration from taking it back. The valuable West Wing real estate occupied by the White House press corps isn’t the property of the press. It belongs to the U.S. government."
BOTTOM LINE - AMERICANS WANT MORE INFORMATION, NOT CONTROLLED INFORMATION
The precious little snowflakes in the mainstream media, the same ones whining at every given opportunity, as if they are the news, as if being called out for their bias, and in many instances outright lies in their so-called "reporting," is threatening to them, when they are the ones that declared war on Trump, his family and all of his supporters, with lies, misrepresentations and constant negative reporting, and are displaying extreme "entitlement" symptoms.
They are entitled to continue to be the arbiters of news, no matter how many false stories they spew. They are entitled to be treated with respect no matter how disrespectful they are to others. They are entitled to be the only ones that are part of the White House press corps, given preferential treatment when they are attacking anyone that disagrees with their ideology. They are entitled to our trust when they have recently been busted reporting actual "fake news."
The MSM continues to claim they are the conduit between the administration and the American people, in order to play the victim card, acting like Americans will know nothing if they cannot be front and center, but that is as untrue as the recent Washington Post story, which they later retracted about Russians infiltration the U.S. power grid, because Trump has learned he can speak directly to Americans, allow them to take his statements and announcements and research them for themselves, and the press are freaking out over it.
Why should the MSM be the only ones allowed to ask the White House press Secretary question? Choose what is important to the rest of us? Why shouldn't Independent Media outlets be allowed to follow up on issues their readers feel are important as well?
If this election cycle has proved anything it is that Americans want more information that they can research for themselves, they are sick and tired of "controlled information" by the MSM.
