Something Very Bad Is Happening In Illinois - Spiking Radiation Levels Causing Concern!

There is something seriously wrong in Illinois, that neither the US government nor the mainstream media is reporting on or even acknowledging.
Once again we are seeing extremely high spikes of radiation in st. Charles Illiniois, which are concerning folks enough that they are sending emails with the constant rising numbers shown by the Nuclear Emergency Tracking Center, which monitors 300 sites across the United States and Japan.
It is no exaggeration to say the levels being seen in this location are literally over the top... if you thought that the high 300's were bad in California, wait until you see the the image below from NETC, for Saint Charles, Illinois!
Once again, compare these numbers to what is supposedly "safe" background levels of radiation.
Now, I am not a scientist or engineer, so I am not asserting any reason for these extremely high levels, whether it is radiation from Fukushima making it's way across America or whether it is our very own nuclear reactors, but I did find it interesting to look at the locations of US nuclear power reactors, shown in the map below.
Questions need to be asked, but more importantly, the mainstream media need to be informing the public about the areas with the highest, consistent levels of radiation..... otherwise they are just as responsible as the government for the consequences that possibly won't be felt or diagnosed for years to come.
What is causing these consistently high levels of radiation in Illinois? Why are they not being reported? What can people do to protect themselves?
