"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or abridging the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
In 2015 it was found that 33 percent of American adults could not name any of the rights mentioned above from the First Amendment. 57 percent could identify freedom of speech, but only 19 percent knew that the First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion. Only 10 percent of Americans knew it includes freedom of the press, 10 percent knew it included the right to assemble and a mere 2 percent knew about the right to petition.
The same survey organization, Newseum, found that in 2016, the number of Americans that could not name any of the First Amendment rights had jumped by 6 percentage points, to 39 percent, and those that could name free speech as part of the First Amendment had decreased from 57 percent to 54 percent.
Those numbers are profoundly concerning, but on one issue an overwhelming majority agree. Protecting free speech is more important than protecting people from being offended by said free speech. 86 percent of Americans say protecting free speech is more important while only 10 percent say protecting people from being offended is more important. FREE SPEECH UNDER ATTACK
While the first amendment numbers above are dismal at best, when college students are surveyed on first amendment issues, we see how much worse things are going to get when they are let loose into the real world outside their "safe space" college campuses.
We have noted the attacks against free speech online by social media giants such as Facebook, Twitter and Google, as well as the constant attacks by Antifa groups against free speech proponents rallying across the country, perhaps the most disturbing pattern we have been reporting on is the violence and rioting on college campuses to prevent a conservative speaker from speaking at a scheduled event.
Who can forget the vial images from Berkeley in February 2017, where Antifa groups prevented Milo Yiannopoulos from speaking at UC Berkeley, where the Antifa members were lobbing firebombs, destroying property, causing over $100,000 of damage to the campus? Or more recently where Berkeley spent $600,000 in security, cordoned off whole sections of the campus, just so Ben Shapiro could give a lecture he was invited to give to college conservatives, where Berkeley snowflakes had to be offered counseling because they were so "offended" that Shapiro was allowed on campus at all.
Despite the fact that the Supreme Court has affirmed time and time again that even offensive speech or "hate speech" is protected under the first amendment, doing so as recently as June 2017 in Matal v. Tam, where they wrote "A law that can be directed against speech found offensive to some portion of the public can be turned against minority and dissenting views to the detriment of all," it appears that a plurality of college students do not think "hate speech" or offensive speech is protected under the first amendment.
Only 39 percent of college students answered yes to the question "Does the First Amendment protect 'hate speech'?" 44 percent said no and 16 percent didn't know.
Important Note- Antifa and other Soros funded groups, including the college snowflakes, think that any speech they consider offensive is deemed "hate speech." Rallying to prevent the removal of confederate statues....declared "hate." Free speech rallies...declared "hate speech."
In one very memorable, recent case, it was claimed that the American flag, the stars and stripes, was "hate speech," and comparable to a nazi or ISIS flag as a student managed to write a resolution to have the American flag banned, which passed with a majority.

It gets worse when the survey directly references controversial speakers. 51 percent of college students believe it is acceptable to disrupt a speech by loudly and repeatedly shouting so that the audience cannot hear the speaker and 19 percent say violence is an acceptable method to prevent a speaker from speaking.
One last set of numbers before we break this all down.
When given two options: 1: create a positive learning environment for all students by prohibiting certain speech or expression of viewpoints that are offensive or biased against certain groups of people, and; 2: create an open learning environment where students are exposed to all types of speech and viewpoints, even if it means allowing speech that is offensive or biased against certain groups of people?, the majority, 53 percent believe free speech should be prohibited if determined to be "offensive."
Offensive to whom? The answer to that is the slippery slope, someone, somewhere is always going to be offended by something.
Make no mistake, this is what we are seeing happen all across America, Antifa groups rioting and attacking attendees at any even that holds opposing views from them, deeming them "fascist," events, or declaring the the lectures and speeches as "hate speech." This is what we are seeing at colleges, which are breeding grounds for Antifa and globalists recruiters, where speakers and attendees are attacked, shouted down, campuses destroyed.
It is all by design to create more divisions, more chaos, leading to either a "revolution" (which is a stated goal on Antifa websites) or a civil war.
FREE SPEECH IS THE KEY TO STOPPING THE GLOBALISTS
Something very, very important happened last week, something that has been downplayed, ignored or spun by the media, but which highlights the importance of free speech and why silencing free speech is a key component to the globalists plan to overthrow the government by revolution, but can also be the answer to stopping the globalists' plan to destroy America.
On September 16, 2017, there was a "mother of all rallies" event by pro-Trump MAGA supporters, and while the media spent more time highlighting the attendance of the "juggalos" that were protesting being labeled a gang by the FBI, what many missed was what happened when members of the Black Lives Matter New York showed up at the pro-Trump MAGA stage.
Given the fact that the media has made sure that Trump MAGA supporters have been labeled racists "deplorables," and the viral images of BLM include seeing BLM activists chanting "pigs in a blanket, fry em like bacon," or the protests turned to riots in cities across America where BLM is protesting, one would think a group of BLM activists, which included the President of the New York chapter of BLM, showing up at a MAGA rally, has all the ingredients to turn ugly fast.
Unless of course the two groups refused to allow themselves to be used as globalists puppets and decide to respect each others free speech.
Let me set the scene: The group of MAGA supporters were up on stage doing their thing, the group of BLM activists showed up, wearing Black Lives Matter shirts, fists raised in the air, chanting "Black Lives Matter" with rally attendees telling them to go away, and the people on the stage telling folks to ignore them, to not spolight them....... until someone on stage said "I am going to let Black Lives Matter come up here."
Everything changed right then and there.
As both groups stood on the stage, Tommy Gunn, the organizer of the Mother of all Rallies, announced the rally "is about freedom of speech. It's about celebration, so what we are going to do, is something you're not used to, and we're going to give you two minutes of our platform to put your message out." He continued on to say "now whether they disagree or agree with your message, is irrelevant, it is the fact that you have a right to have the message."
He handed over the microphone and the BLM member spoke to the crowd, he was cheered on some of his statements, jeered on others, and also had some back and forth with the crowd. Following his speech, another man from the MAGA side stood up and took them to task for protesting only when a white person was involved in a shooting of a black person, when they should be protesting in Chicago where black on black crime is at an all time high.
In other words they spoke to each other, they listened to each other and they refused to let hate define them.
After they all shook hands and left the stage, where the BLM activists stated outright he was a proud American and Christian, where the leader of a 4,000 member militia came over and shook his hand, where a Biker for Trump posed for a picture with him, while the BLM activist was holding the man's son in his arms, the BLM activist states "I feel like the two sides that never listened to each other actually made progress today."
BOTTOM LINE
Free speech, that is the key to stopping the completion of the globalists plan to destroy America. The MSM and globalists across the country do not want open communication, they want divisions. They do not want the two "sides" to see that while they may disagree, if free speech is encouraged, they may find they have a few thing in common as well.
BLM has also received Soros funding, with many of their activists used as puppets for violence and to create civil unrest, with the two sides having been pitted against each other in the media, and by groups fomenting divisions, yet these MAGA event organizers and these BLM activists, just showed us the way to defeat the globalists.... and it all comes down to respecting the right of a group to hold their opinions, their messages, whether we agree with them or not.
It all comes down to free speech, the first amendment, which is why we are seeing it under attack by big tech globalists, George Soros and Hillary Clinton, and at colleges across the nation.
The video above needs to go viral because it is the globalists' worst nightmare as groups that have been conditioned to see each other as "enemies," finally shake hands.
