A phenomena has been sweeping across America, via the Internet and homes throughout the nation, where Russia, the "Boogeyman" of an age past referred to as the Cold War era, has become a nation with their president being cheered by Americans while at the same time demonized by the Obama adminsitration, politicians and the American press.
One cannot be blamed for thinking this is extremely inexplicable with Russia's domestic policies which are, for the most part, largely the antithesis of the U.S. constitution.
The disconnect stems from the fact that the same Americans that are cheering for Putin's very revealing statements about U.S. policies and standing up against them, would never even consider a man like Putin as the leader of the U.S..... if asked, the answer would not just be no, but HELL NO!
The crux of the matter and what political pundits and the MSM do not seem able to comprehend, is that Putin "cheerleaders" do not want Putin as their leader, they want the U.S. to have a leader that will put in the interests of America and American citizens, above that of the "international community."
Leaders are chosen to represent America, to protect Americans, to defend and uphold the U.S. Constitution, something the Russians do not have, so their domestic policies which are largely criticized, even by those rooting Putin on, aren't even part of the discussion at this point.
OATH OF OFFICE
The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives' reads "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God." (Source - senate.gov - House.gov)
The Presidential Oath of Office reads "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States." (Source)
For that that think just because the Senate did not ratify that 2013 Arms Treaty the Obama administration has given up, think again as reported in August 2015, officials from the Obama administration attended the UN Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) conference in Mexico City.
Breitbart News previously reported that the ATT is an international gun control treaty designed to be implemented apart from, or in spite of, the general framework of governance for countries that are signatories to it.
Thus, while it will not do away with the Second Amendment on paper, it will subjugate the Second Amendment to the ATT’s gun controls if Obama administration officials return and implement the plans they will discuss in Mexico City.
This is all above and beyond the constitutional violations on a domestic front... this is pecifically pinpointing Obama's willingness to subvert America's sovereignty to the "international rule of law."
Many point to Crimea and claim Putin violated Ukraines sovereignty without mentioning how the U.S. and the international community not only interfered first but actively supported a movement that resulted in ousting Ukraine's duly elected president before Putin took action in Crimea.
A look at how many U.S. and international military bases surround Russia, consistently encroaching their terrorities, playing in Russia's backyard, so to speak, some believe that Russia's actions are not only justified but are a direct push back and done to protect Russia itself.
Others believe differently and that Russia is attempting to expand their influence.
In an interview conducted in June 2015, Putin said "US military spending is higher than that of all countries in the world taken together. The aggregate military spending of NATO countries is 10 times, note – 10 times higher than that of the Russian Federation. Russia has virtually no bases abroad. We have the remnants of our armed forces (since Soviet times) in Tajikistan, on the border with Afghanistan, which is an area where the terrorist threat is particularly high. The same role is played by our airbase in Kyrgyzstan; it is also aimed at addressing the terrorist threat and was set up at the request of the Kyrgyz authorities after a terrorist attack perpetrated by terrorists from Afghanistan on Kyrgyzstan.
We have kept since Soviet times a military unit at a base in Armenia. It plays a certain stabilising role in the region, but it is not targeted against anyone. We have dismantled our bases in various regions of the world, including Cuba, Vietnam, and so on. This means that our policy in this respect is not global, offensive or aggressive.
I invite you to publish the world map in your newspaper and to mark all the US military bases on it. You will see the difference." Via Global Research:
The main sources of information on these military installations (e.g. C. Johnson, the NATO Watch Committee, the International Network for the Abolition of Foreign Military Bases) reveal that the US operates and/or controls between 700 and 800 military bases Worldwide.
These facilities include a total of 845,441 different buildings and equipments. The underlying land surface is of the order of 30 million acres. According to Gelman, who examined 2005 official Pentagon data, the US is thought to own a total of 737 bases in foreign lands. Adding to the bases inside U.S. territory, the total land area occupied by US military bases domestically within the US and internationally is of the order of 2,202,735 hectares, which makes the Pentagon one of the largest landowners worldwide (Gelman, J., 2007).
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so the image below shows how many are in Putin's backyard:
PUTIN VERSUS OBAMA
It is the aforementioned violations of the U.S. presidential oath which swears to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, versus Putin's single-minded focus on Russian sovereignty and the refusal to put Russia's interests behind those of the "international community," which has those that would never, ever vote for a man like Russian President Vladimir Putin, rooting for him here in America against Barack Obama.
Putin cheerleaders are not Putin supporters per se, they are Americans that want the leader of the United States of America to do for Americans what the leader of Russia is doing for Russians....... putting them first when it comes to international affairs and the sovereignty of their country rather than selling the country down the river as Barack Obama has done since he took office.
