With the Obama administration weaponizing the rule of law against their political opponents including D'Souza, who put out the 2012 movie "2016: Obama's America" and the 2016 movie "Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party", it's not just a coincidence that the eyes of the law were turned upon law-abiding Christians, Conservatives, Libertarians, survivalists and those who support the US Constitution during Obama's 8 years in office.
As Michael Snyder reported back on August 26, 2013 over at The Truth Wins, during the Obama administration, official US government documents labeled 72 different kinds of Americans as potential terrorists, including Americans who were opposed to abortion, communism, globalism, illegal immigration, or a 'new world order'.
With Obama's government also labeling those who talked about 'individual rights' as a potential threats along with those who 'visit conspiracy theory websites' or believe that we are living within 'end times', it's no coincidence that his administration also removed all references to Islam from terror training materials while projecting the words 'potential terrorists' upon huge groups of every day, law-abiding American citizens.
And while Kim Kardashian West recently visited the White House for hopefully the first 'Kim Summit' of 2018 to talk with President Trump about Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old great grandmother serving a life sentence in federal prison for a first-time, non-violent drug offense, we thought we'd take a look within this ANP story about just how badly criminal justice system reform in America is needed and long overdue.
With President Trump also considering pardoning Martha Stewart and commuting the sentence of former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich, a Democrat, we hope that the gangster politics of the Obama era weaponizing the law to use against his perceived enemies and political opponents are done away with along with the dreadful quotas of the prisons for profit system.
And as we see in several other tweets by President Trump, he also recently called out the mainstream media as 'corrupt'. Shouldn't the media be held responsible for the lies that they've told the American people over the years? Certainly their countless and never-ending lies have ruined lives and their lies almost led to the total overthrow of America. And as President Trump also pointed out, the 'Russian collusion lie' has cost the American people over $17 million dollars.
And if you're somebody who thinks that the msm would never lie, take a look at this story from Zero Hedge within which they report the Council on Foreign Relations says 'domestic propaganda is necessary' with one mainstream media organization's editor outright stating that he believes it's fine and dandy for the msm to outright lie to the American people. A tweet from author William Craddick of Disobedient Media:
At a Council on Foreign Relations forum about "fake news," former Editor at Time Magazine Richard Stengel directly states that he supports the use of propaganda on American citizens - then shuts the session down when challenged about how propaganda is used against the third world.
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”—C.S. Lewis
Surveillance cameras, government agents listening in on your phone calls, reading your emails and text messages and monitoring your spending, mandatory health care, sugary soda bans, anti-bullying laws, zero tolerance policies, political correctness: these are all outward signs of a government—i.e., a societal elite—that believes it knows what is best for you and can do a better job of managing your life than you can.
This is tyranny disguised as “the better good.” Indeed, as I document in my book A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State, this is the tyranny of the Nanny State: marketed as benevolence, enforced with armed police, and inflicted on all those who do not belong to the elite ruling class that gets to call the shots. Thus, this explains the recent rash of parents getting charged with negligence and arrested for leaving their kids alone for any amount of time, whether at a park, in a store, in a car, or in their front yard—another sign of what C.S. Lewis referred to as tyranny exercised by “omnipotent moral busybodies.”
Certainly our entire free country is at stake for should those who've committed an endless list of crimes including treason get away with it, we'll have absolute proof that the rule of law doesn't apply to 'the untouchables' and therefore, 'America' will be forever broken. As Stefan Molyneux reports about the UK's jailing of Tommy Robinson, the very fabric of law in the UK is now in jeopardy with Robinson's jailing a "hammer-blow to the fragile base of people’s respect for British law".
With Molyneux warning that 'the rule of law is fragile, and relies on the self-restraint of the majority', if the 'rule of law' is tyranny and corrupt as we're increasingly seeing in the creeping of sharia law into Britain, free people owe it to very future of humanity to fight against it. (Peacefully, of course, as long as they're still able.)
As we hear in the outstanding 1st video below, the criminal justice system in America is a billion dollar industry with a ton of money being made by locking people up with horrific laws and horrific quotas. As our videographer tells us, 'prison is legalized slavery' and many politicians are making huge money off of it. Our videographer also points out that President Trump is instituting meaningful prison reform but the msm and social justice warriors remain silent about that.
And as we read in this new story from Mac Slavo over at SHTFPlan, a new lawsuit against the state of North Carolina actually proves that the justice system in the US keeps the poor poor while the rights and freedoms of everyone are increasingly trampled upon.
It’s not a secret that government’s want to seize as much from the producers as possible to bloat their power-hungry heads. But a new lawsuit is actually giving the details on just how the government uses the “justice” system to keep the poor in dire states of poverty.
The ACLU of North Carolina, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the Southern Coalition for Social Justice have slapped the state of North Carolina with a federal lawsuit over the state’s practice of suspending drivers’ licenses over unpaid tickets.
Extorting money from people for victimless crimes (most traffic violations are victimless) does not function to prevent any violent crime or crime with victims. The drug war does not help anyone, and the era of time in which the people of the US were most free, proves that this is the formula for prosperity. Even given the vastly different technology and capabilities of today, it would seem that this formula of freedom for prosperity would add up.
The problem is, we aren’t free and haven’t been for quite some time. And no matter who gets elected, we get more police, more violence, more “criminals”, and higher taxes. But, it is time we began opening our eyes to the issue instead of repeating the “we’re free” lie. The best way to end poverty is not to throw money at it but to increase the rights and freedoms of everyone.
While surely much work still needs to be done, we thank President Trump for signing the 'Right To Try' bill into law which allows terminally ill patients to use experimental treatments that have not yet been approved by the FDA, a group which has proven itself to be heavily tied to the 'big pharma mafia', it's a small step in the right direction. And should President Trump overhaul the criminal justice system and help drive away the 'nanny state tyranny', true, meaningful and lasting change may finally come to America.
In the 2nd video below from Lions of Liberty they discuss criminal justice system reform in America while in the final video below, our videographer asks if the recent pardons by President Trump have been designed to 'send a message'.
NOTE TO READERS: With digital media revenue spiraling downward, especially hitting those in Independent Media, where attacks from every direction continue to come unabated, it has become apparent that traditional advertising simply isn't going to fully cover the costs and expenses for many smaller independent websites.
