Anyone that browses through the news on a daily basis cannot help but notice a very disturbing trend being seen nationally and globally, where weekly, and sometimes daily, we are noting more mainstream articles on demonic possession, creature sightings, an increase of exorcisms, television shows about "Lucifer," hauntings, or the supernatural, have become a daily dose of evil threaded through our lives as a string is threaded through a needle, to weave itself into the very fabric of our existence.
"Men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken." - Luke 21:26
'THE GATES OF HELL' HAVE TRULY OPENED
One example comes from reports this morning from multiple outlets such as The Daily Mail, Latin Post, and the UK's The Mirror, and shown in the video below. The reports are horrifying but the nearly minute-and-a-half video footage of the event is one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen and had I not read these accounts before seeing the video footage, I would have sworn it was a clip from a horror movie.
In Peru, in what is being described as a "mass event" of "demonic possession," 80 children at Elsa Perea Flores School in northern Peru, suffered convulsions, screaming and fainting, with claims that they saw visions of a man in black trying to kill them.
A pupil, not named in local media, described their experience: "It’s disturbing for me to think about it. It’s as if someone kept on chasing me from behind. It was a tall man all dressed in black and with a big beard and it felt like he was trying to strangle me.
"My friends say I was screaming desperately, but I don’t remember much."
Another schoolgirl said she had trouble breathing and was desperately holding her neck as if someone was strangling her. According to her friends, she kept screaming: "Take it out."
Another anonymous girl, aged 13, told local media: "Several children from different classrooms fainted at the same time. I got nauseous and started vomiting. I heard voices. A man in black chased me and wanted to touch me."
WARNING - DISTURBING VIDEO FOOTAGE
This reminded me of another report from a month ago where the headmaster of the Jean Lafosse College in the French Indian Ocean Island of Reunion, told the parents of 25 students that their children had been possessed, the descriptions oddly similar to what was described and seen above.
An emergency meeting was called on Monday after reports that students eyes were rolling into the back of their heads as their bodies spasmed uncontrollably.
According to the headmaster Gervias Fontaine, "It cannot be controlled, the limbs stiffen, they scream, yell."
In Malaysia in mid-April reports of a "body possession phenomenon," described as mass hysteria "epidemic," occurred at multiple schools, where students and a teacher said they had "visions of female vampiric ghosts and are being physically pinned down by evil spirits."
Called 'body possession phenomenon', one bizarre incident saw 20 female students sent home from a single school after complaining of being overwhelmed by it.
Yesterday reporters attempting to speak with students at one school were not allowed entry but heard screams coming from inside classrooms.
Education chiefs in the Kota Baru region are now using shamans and religious leaders to try and clear the schools of the supposed 'bad spirits', the Straits Times reported.
Exorcism: The religious or spiritual practice of purportedly evicting demons or other spiritual entities from a person or an area they are believed to have possessed.
In late 2015 it was reported that the Catholic Church was recruiting more exorcists after the number of 'demonic possessions' tripled in the Philippines, but a look at news reports across the Internet indicate the "exorcism boom" is on.
Now Fox is moving forward with a TV show based on William Blatty's 1971 novel about a priest who performs exorcisms on demonic spirits in a new series set to begin in late 2016, titled "The Exorcist."
BOTTOM LINE
Consider that Fox and A&E have literally brought the devil into homes across America with the television series' Lucifer and Damien. Shows in 2016 considered the "most anticipated," included 'Colony' where Earth is conquered by an extraterrestrial invasion force, 'Outcast' where a man was cursed to see his loved ones succumb to demonic possession and is being haunted by these supernatural occurrences, 'Preacher' where a small town preacher is possessed by a mysterious entity granting him the power to make people obey whatever command he issues them... just to name a few.
From music to movies to televisions series, we are seeing topics based on "evil" coming at us from every direction, so is it any wonder the barriers between supernatural evil and human existence have been breached?
