So far, the Senate only approved a "Motion to Proceed to the consideration of H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. They have yet to approve the actual bill.

Gives tax breaks to billionaires, takes from the poor to give to the rich, makes life more unaffordable, is a handout to corporations, leaves American workers behind, hurts small businesses, helps 'big oil,' send manufacturing jobs overseas.
Cuts Medicare, closes rural hospitals, kick millions of people off healthcare possibly killing them, hurt people with disabilities, requires vulnerable Americans to work to receive benefits, there is no fraud in Medicaid, SNAP work requirements are unnecessary, guts SNAP.
Illegals don't receive federal benefits.
Does not end taxes on SSI, will increase the deficit, has too much 'pork' in it, won't strengthen national security, neglects rural America, is not necessary because 'border is secure'
Democrats were "shut out" of the legislative process.
The Trump Administration is ignoring the Budget Office's reports.
On the other hand the White House counters the claims stating the OBBB will:
Gives middle- & working-class Americans the largest tax cut in US History with lowest-income earners receiving the largest tax cuts. The Trump Administration claims that these bigger paychecks will make life "more affordable" for Americans. It will also expand childcare access, increase the child tax credit, and create Trump Accounts for newborns with an initial deposit of $1,000. The OBBB supports small businesses, invests in American manufacturing and provides 100% expensing for new US factories, keeps manufacturing jobs in the US, creates a small business deduction, unleashes American energy, refills the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, and reverses the climate hoax scams.
President Trump has consistently said there will be NO CUTS to Medicaid and even strengthens Medicaid for pregnant women, children, seniors, people with disabilities, and low income families. It will enforce work requirements for the able/healthy. Medicare is NOT TOUCHED in the OBBB. Rural hospitals comprise 7% of all hospital spending in Medicaid, in fact the OBBB provides targeted funds for rural care and gives states flexibility to support their local providers. As to 'people dying' or 'hurt' to those with disabilities, the key words are "eligible Americans" will be protected. The SNAP and Medicaid 20-hour work requirement only applies to able-bodied adults without young children. The Trump Administration believes the work requirement will "promote dignity, stability, and better health outcomes" for American families and reminds us that similar requirements were established in the Clinton-era. As to fraud in Medicaid, at least $500,000,000,000 improper payments were made to Medicaid providers. Able-bodied adults abusing the system have cost taxpayers $56,000,000,000.
Illegals will be identified and removed from Medicaid, SNAP, welfare, and other US Citizen programs under the OBBB.
The OBBB ensures the average SSI recipient will pay NO taxes on their SSI. By cutting waste, fraud, and abuse, the OBBB will reduce deficits by over $2,000,000,000,000. The Trump Administration claims every provision in the OBBB delivers on President Trump's campaign promises. It will fund the "Golden Dome" defense system and modernize our military as well as permanently secures our border with a full wall, 10,000 new ICE officers, and funding to stop the flow of fentanyl. It expands market access to rural communities with support necessary for them to continue operating with safe, affordable, abundant food, fuel, & fiber.
The Trump Administration says the Democrats have "shut themselves out" of the Congressional process of passing bills. Just because Democrats are against lower taxes, a secure border, spending cuts, and putting Americans First does not mean they are 'shut out' they are only out voted.
We know President Trump has 'nicknames' for everyone and everything and the Budget Office is no exception. He says: "The Crooked Budget Office has a terrible record with its predictions and hasnt earned the attention the media gives it. The CBO misreads the economic consequences of not extending the Trump Tax Cuts. The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers real savings that will unleash our economy and prevent the largest tax hike in history, resulting in historic prosperity, while lowering the debt burden."
I looked for the Senate version of the bill and could only find the House version online. In fact, the Congress website only indicates that the bill is in the Senateand does not cover the Senate vote of 51 to 49 in favor of proceeding. I wanted to see what changes the Senate made in the bill. I guess we'll have to wait until the next phase - House/Senate Reconciliation - happens to find out what the final bill will contain.
President Trump was interviewed on Sunday Morning Futures where he highlighted how the OBBB will take care of the border and remove tax on tips, tax on SSI, and tax on overtime, and cut $1.7 trillion all of which will create growth (see video below for the full interview).
SenatorMarkwayne Mullin was interviewed on Meet the Presswhere he stated that the OBBB will cut spending, makes the tax cuts from President Trump's first term permanent, and touts the fact that waste, fraud, and abuse are being cut from Medicaid making sure only eligible Americans receive the benefits from the program.
Senator Jim Banks was interviewed on Fox News Sunday where he stated the OBBB will be the biggest spending cut in US history and will eliminate the climate hoax scams while cutting taxes for working class families.
Senator Katie Britt was interviewed onState of the Union where she stated the OBBB will ensure hardworking people keep more of their hard-earned money, the border will be fully secured for generations to come, we will have a strong national defense, unleash American energy, and help the American people achieve the American Dream.
I sure hope the information being put out by the White House about the OBBB is true. If, once the bill becomes law, we find that we were lied to, I do not know, and will not even attempt to guess, what the fallout will be.
