On May 5, 2026, President Trump signed the Proclamation National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, 2026 celebrating the strength, discipline, and competitive spirit of the American people. Sports and fitness promote healthy lifestyles, teamwork, friendship, and a competitive spirit. They are intertwined into the foundation of American identity forged through hard work, strength, and success. Robert F Kennedy Jr, Secretary of HHS, Chief MAHA, spoke during the signing of this Proclamation (in the video below), saying:
President Kennedy wanted to send the American people: if we were going to maintain our national authority, our national our international leadership, our moral authority as a nation that we had to pay attention to our our physical condition. The physical fitness test was a critical part of that. And I think it's very unfortunate that President Obama and President Biden abandoned it. He said competition is not good for kids, which is not true. If we're going to be competitive internationally, we need to be competitive with each other. We need to teach people how to win and how to lose and how to process victory and defeat. . . . Since that time the presidency has presided over the worst public health crisis in history. We're now the sickest nation in the world. We've gone from:
5% of our kids being obese to 20%
70% of adults are obese or overweight and
77% of our children cannot qualify for military service.
This month, we are reminded that a country is only as strong as its citizens. I encourage all Americans to take steps to ensure they can live healthy and fulfilling lives through regular exercise and the joys of sports — improving the strength, vigor, and success of our Nation along the way.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim May 2026 as National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. I think bringing back the Presidential Physical Fitness Award is a good thing. I still have all the Presidential Physical Fitness Awards (one of which is shown above) I received while in k-12 school (from more than 50 years ago!). I am glad children today will have the opportunity to receive their own Award for Physical Fitness from President Trump.
At about 59 minutes into the following video, President Trump joins the children on the White House lawn. It is so good to see a President being a President and NOT a pervert going around sniffing the little girls!
On May 5, 2026, the White House published a Presidential Message on National Astronaut Day reminding us that 65 years ago, on May 5, 1961, Commander Alan Shepard became the first American to journey into space aboard the Freedom 7. Last month, 4 astronauts boarded the spacecraft Integrity to travel 695,081 miles to the other side of the moon and back during the Artemis II mission. We are reminded that the intention is to put Americans back on the Moon by 2028 with a goal of establishing a permanent settlement on the lunar surface. President Trump writes:

On May 5, 2026, the White House published the research Savings from Most-Favored-Nation Drug Pricing Policy (available as a 13-page pdf here) highlighting President Trump's Most-Favored-Nation (MFN) drug pricing policy available through the TrumpRx website reflecting current agreements with 17 of the largest pharmaceutical manufactures, so far. These policies for drug pricing have been designed to work in tandem with US trade policy efforts. Together, drug prices are equalized through the combination of decreases in US prices and increases to other developed countries. The research concludes the framework ensures benefits are broadly distributed, not limiting cost savings to only those on Medicare and balances global distribution of pharmaceutical R&D globally without compromising innovation in pharmaceuticals.
Apparently, the Senate is on a series of 3-day vacations having met Monday, May 4, 2026 at 6:45am for a pro forma session (described in my May 5, 2025 ANP Article) with their next meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 10am for yet another pro forma session. This is your Senate at work for you, working to pass legislation that you want to have passed, such as the SAVE America Act and codifying President Trump's EOs. Oh, wait, that's right, they aren't working, they're stalling the President in every way they can. Anyone going along with this nonsense at the expense of the US Taxpayer needs to be primaried come November!
The House is also lollygagging with pro forma sessions. They convened on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 10:30am then adjourned at 10:35am. Their next scheduled meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 9am. Like the Senate, they are not working for We The People to pass the legislation we want passed. They are stalling the President however they can while appearing to work with him. Like the Senate, those going along with this boondoggle needs to be primaried in November!

In the lawsuit American Oversight v. Hegseth docket # 1:25-cv-00883 filed in District Court, District of Columbia on March 25, 2025 about Houthi Signal Group Chat where American Oversight sued Trump administration officials who were on the Signal war planning group chat and the National Archives to ensure federal records are preserved as required under the Federal Records Act. The original lawsuit sought the following relief:
Declare that messages and communications sent through the Signal application in the course of conducting agency business are agency records subject to the FRA;
Declare that the failure to ensure such messages and communications are preserved, as required by 44 U.S.C. § 2911, comprises an unlawful removal of federal records in violation of the FRA;
Declare that Defendants have maintained an inadequate recordkeeping system under the FRA;
Declare that Defendants have violated their respective duties under the FRA and APA;
Issue emergency injunctive relief and a permanent injunction ordering Defendants to comply with their respective duties under the FRA and APA, including by referring the matter
to the Attorney General for enforcement of the FRA, preservation of records, recovery of unlawfully removed records, and the recovery or restoration of any deleted or destroyed materials to the extent possible;

On April 30, 2026, a Stipulation of Dismissal was filed by both defendant and plaintiff with no reason provided.
On May 1, 2026, Judge James E Boasberg issued a Minute Order that the case is Dismissed with Prejudice.
As I read through the record of what was done in this case, Judge Boasberg made a lot of "minute orders" (apparently, these orders only require a line of type compared to 'official' orders that have justifying documents attached). I did not like the fact that in his June 20, 2025 order, Boasberg referred to Secretary Rubio as "Rubio" instead of "Secretary Rubio" which I consider to be a personal slight against Secretary Rubio by Boasberg. I'm guessing that "minute orders" are the 'lazy activist judge' version of working in the court system. Boasberg's TDS is very strong and you can see it as you read through all of his orders in this case.

The Culper Spy Ring was a network of Patriots who spied on the British during the Revolutionary War. The Ring leaders were Abraham Woodhull (alias Samuel Culper Sr) and Robert Townsend (alias Samuel Culper Jr) and the Ring was organized by Major Benjamin Tallmadge (alias John Bolton) and General George Washington (discussed in my February 10, 2026 ANP Article).
At the time, the British were headquartered in New York City. In November 1778, Major Tallmadge was appointed the primary contact for the Ring by General Washington. The Ring operated in New York City, Long Island, and Connecticut between October 1778 and 1783 when the British evacuated from New York. During their 5 years of operation, no spy was ever unmasked. To protect the spies, Major Tallmadge gave them pseudonyms and assigned them numbers rather than using names. A total of 763 numbers were used. We know that General Washingtoin was #711. Major Tallmadge created a 'dictionary' for General Washington on how to read the codes. In addition, their correspondence was written in invisible ink.
The Culper Spy Ring was instrumental in the success of the Patriot's War of Independence (aka the American Revolutionary War). They were responsible for uncovering details of a surprise attack on French forces, a British plan to counterfeit the Patriot's currency (using the actual paper the Patriots used for their Continental bills), Tyron's raid of July 1779, and the discovery that Patriot General Benedict Arnold was plotting against them with British Major John Andre to turn over the vital position of West Point to the British.
