Over the years since then-candidate Donald Trump rode down an escalator and announced he was running for president of the united States, we have seen liberal media personalities, pundits and Democrat operatives, be in politicians or just media mouthpieces for Democrats, accusing "MAGA" (Make America Great Again) supporters of being a cult.
From Psychology Today to Huffington Post to MSNBC, any many many more, we have consistently seen this reference, yet in looking at what a "cult" is defined as, we note that once again Democrats seem to be projecting their own mentality onto others.
Britannica:cult, usually small group devoted to a person, idea, or philosophy.
Most definitions reference "religious" beliefs, or religious "worship," and generally reference a "leader" or a group that guides and creates the rules for the rest the followers. Most agree it is a group of people that subscribe to a certain belief system, rather than just one man or woman.
Most of the left side of the political aisle seem to think that MAGA supporters worship President Donald Trump, yet never bother to acknowledge how many conservatives that voted for Trump disagree with some of his actions and decisions, because that would negate their "cult" accusation.
According to everything I have read members of a cult are devoted to a belief system or as Dictionary.com describes it "a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc ."
Going by that definition almost any political party could be described as a cult, so we have to look at areas of disagreement within each political party in order to dig to the bottom of this.
We see conservatives disagreeing daily with each other, and using just the GOP's "big beautiful bill" in the news cycle over the past weeks we can see many disagree with the lack of reductions in spending, the national debt, and other complaints about it spoken on conservative websites.
Democrats and liberals on the other hand seem to walk in lockstep. Whether in regards to illegal immigration, fighting to keep violent, gang-related illegals in the country, or the insistence on treating mentally ill people as just a "protected class" such as transgenders, or fighting to allow biological men play in women's sports, change in the same rooms as members of the opposite sex, using the bathroom facilities of members of the opposite sex, etc...
If someone is excessively zealous and displays an unquestioning commitment to a leader of a worldview, belief system, or esoteric truth, you may be dealing with a cultist.
If you talk to someone impervious to any fact, logic or science that is even the slightest bit contrarian to a given belief system, you may be dealing with a cultist.
If someone gets emotional and irrational when a speculative belief or belief system is challenged with facts, you may be dealing with a cultist.
If someone displays total allegiance to a leader/concept/belief system/truth, you may be dealing with a cultist.
If someone wont tolerate even the SLIGHTEST dissent with or critical inquiry about a belief or belief system without emotionally defending it, you may be dealing with a cultist.
If someone insults you when you provide factual counter-arguments to his esoteric belief system, you may be dealing with a cultist.
If someone uses exclusively emotional arguments to either persuade you to accept a belief system or worldview, you may be dealing with a cultist.
If someone essentially lives inside an information cocoon isolated from reality and refuses to acknowledge real world information sources and facts, you may be dealing with a cultist.
Most ANP readers are conservatives, so ask yourself a few questions.
Are you zealous scared to hear an opinion not your own? Or would you rather actually have a civil, logical discussion to prove your point?
Can you provide links and sources for your opinion or do you just attack anyone that dares disagree with you?
Do you start calling people names, personally attacking them if they counter one of your points?
Do you only read articles or information that aligns with your beliefs, or do you check around and see how others think and more importantly why?
Frankly, having run a website for so many years I find it impossible to speak to the nature of Democrat arguments without actually spending half my time on left-leaning websites in order to know, from their own words and articles, what they are thinking and why.

OTHER SIGNS OF DEMOCRATS BEING THE ACTUAL CULT......
Another thing I have noticed watching email group chats, is how often, meaning every single time, the media comes up with a narrative, leftists always mimics them word for word. They don't even attempt to put things in their own words.
Trump is "Hitler" and his supporters are "Nazis."
"Due process" as they actively fight to force the Trump administration to bring back a MS 13 gang member to the U.S. after deporting him. calling him a "Maryland Father" rather than an illegal alien.
Screaming about "transphobia" when conservatives object to men playing in women's sports. All the while claiming to be the party that supports women.
Calling abortion, the killing of an unborn baby, "reproductive health."
The second the media changed their rhetoric from "global warning," to instead use the term "climate change," Democrats mimicked the change immediately.
It is like liberals across the country simply wait for the MSM to tell them what to say and then they rush right out and obey their thought masters.
The media is perhaps the worst of the "cult" because they wait for the Democrats to tell them what to say and what "keywords" to hammer home in every sentence, and like good little lapdogs they follow the script to a tee.
