Two recent stories from ENENews tell us what the mainstream media still refuses to about the rapidly deteriorating situation along the West Coast of America. The 1st story is headlined "Massacre Along The West Coast Continues" and in it we learn of an alarming, bleak situation as a disease has re-emerged that has left hundred of millions of sea creatures dead in its' wake.

We also learn that other sea life is simply 'disappearing'. The sources for this ENENews story is the National Geographic. In a 2nd story titled "Countless Dead Birds Reported Off US Coast - Nothing Will Eat The Bodies" we learn from an oceanographic expert that 'the fish are not there... all of them are starving' as animals 'act weird, sick and weak...too weak to fly...too weak to run'.

In this story we also learn that at least one resident wants to know if all of these problems are due to radiation from Fukushima. While we're getting very little from the mainstream media about any of this, an interesting story on NBC news steps out on a limb and tells us that a massive toxic algae bloom off of the West Coast could threaten 'the whole ocean food web'.

KGW, Aug 25, 2015 (emphasis added): Birds dying of starvation along coast — Hundreds of birds are washing ashore either dead or dying along the Oregon and Southwest Washington Coast. The majority of them are common murres… Researchers say that the die-off started about three weeks ago… the Wildlife Center of the North Coast [says] Almost all of them are starving. “They’re totally emaciated…” said Laurel Berblinger, a volunteer at the center. According to the biologists, the fish the birds normally eat are not there… with so many dead birds along the beaches now, it’s important to keep children and dogs away… Biologists say they are bracing for a lot more of this.

NBC News, Sep 12 2015: Toxic Algae May Threaten West Coast Marine Economy for Years… the toxic bloom could last through 2016, said Raphael Kudela, a professor of ocean ecology at the University of California Santa Cruz… “that would be pretty much unprecedented to have blooms two years in a row.” The size of the bloom and the amount of time it has lasted in the ocean are already unprecedented… Scientists had previously believed that domoic acid was water soluble—meaning that it could be flushed out of the bodies of animals that ingested it, Kudela said. But researchers have since observed domoic acid building up in the tissues of fish… the toxin may be spreading to a wider array of marine life than they had previously thought was possible. “That really suggests that it is really going to work its way through the food web,” Kudela told CNBC… [Dan Ayres, a coastal shellfish lead biologist with the Washington Dept. of Fish & Wildlife] said that if ocean waters remain warm in future years—the effects could be severe and impact the whole ocean food web."

Have we forgotten that we get a large portion of our food supply from this ocean or does it simply no longer matter to us that massive amounts of life in our oceans are being killed off? Sadly, most Americans refuse to see what's happening in our oceans, specifically the Pacific and West Coast of America.

We also take a look at an interesting video out of Japan where we see what YouTube videographer ShantiUniverse is calling a 'giant mutant wolffish' that was recently caught by a fisherman off the coast of Fukushima, Japan. She asks if this monstrous 'alien-like' fish was caused by a mutation due to radiation or if this is just 'normal' as claimed by scientist Timothy Mousseau in this story at IBTimes.

The 2nd video below called "Fukushima: Nowhere To Run And Nowhere To Hide" features Japanese reporter Yoichi Shimatsu and the video covers all of the Fukushima and radiation-related health news that the mainstream media refuses to tell us.
